Happy with this dishwasher and installation

The dishwasher replaced a 14 year old maytag dishwasher also bought at best buy. The price was right and it came with installation which went very well. It is very quiet , although like others note, you can hear the water moving but you can not really hear the pump. The best feature is a very simple delay start button with three time choices. This allows to set to run later when noise is not a concern anyway. Only real downfalls we have found so far is the loading of our bowls which do not fit well in the rack. Smaller bowls would be no problem. Also need to hold power button in to turn off indicator lights after done washing. Overall satisfied so far and happy with install. Also got price match when it went even lower priced a couple weeks after we bought.

    Great Dishwasher

I bought this dishwasher 5 months ago. I first purchased a Samsung but it would stop working after 5 minutes. I tried a few times to get it working and decided it was not worth the hassle.. Best Buy gave me no problems exchanging it for the Bosch. I am so pleased with this dishwasher. The dishes and glasses come out squeeky clean and dry every time. Because I bought it the week before Thanksgiving I was interested to see how it stood up to a full load of dinnerware and all the cookware. It exceeded my expectations and has continued to in these past 5 months. In addition, the dishwasher was on while we were close by having dessert and was so quiet we never noticed it was on. Great buy....great price....great appliance.

    Better than my LG

This was purchased to replace a newish LG dishwasher that was out of warranty. Based on my experience with LG (not just dishwasher), please do not buy their products... now onto the Bosch. I like it. It cleans really well and you can tell it is built very well. It is a bit louder than expected (and louder than my LG for that matter), but not a big deal because we mostly run it at night or when we are gone. It also seems like it does not fit quite as much. That said, it was worth the money spent, and I would recommend it.

Don't even consider reading the low reviews

This is the first time I have had to buy a dishwasher. I always had "what came with the house", both brand new and used. After reading the reviews regarding the dishwasher not drying very well, I was getting discouraged. Well, I have used it twice now and have no complaints regarding how it washes or dries the load. I made sure not to wash off any dishes and open the door just after the load finished and once several hours later. Both times completely clean and dry. The only thing I noticed was that by opening the door after they were dry and closing it again (both times), caused condensation to build on the door. But not on the dishes. The only small complaint that i have is that there does not seem to be as much room on the bottom rack to wash dishes along with bigger items like platters and large bowls. On the top rack, it would be nice if it was adjustable. My large Trevis cup would not fit upright. It had to be on a slight angle. Otherwise, I have no major issues or complaints. The dishwasher is extremely quiet. You barely can hear it running. I am extremely happy with the purchase and have already recommended it to a family member who needs to purchase a dishwasher too.

Installed this myself. Would not fill with water. Determined no power to water valve. Found wire not pushed on correctly at circuit board. Repaired and now this dishwasher runs and cleans just fine. Trying to get them to pay me for my own service call. I am a qualified servicer. This dishwasher has a plastic bottom. I didn't noticed this at the store. I thought it to be packaging. Also, no timer to tell where it is in it's cycle. All in all, this still washes well and a great value!

Heard great things about Bosch dishwashers and this one lives up to the reputation. Good cleaner and extremely quite. We do not rinse our dishes before putting them in the dishwasher and they come out clean.

Great price and has all the features I needed. It is so quiet I thought I didn't have it turned on. But it was on I just didn't hear it. Dishes are really clean. My old dishwasher had a heated drying which I never used because it clouded up my drinking glasses. I don't see any problem with the dishes not being dry enough. I usually run it after dinner and then onload it in the morning.

My maytag dishwasher conked out after 7 years. I went to S**** to buy a replacment but their customer service lacks so off to Best Buy I went. I printed the S**** price for this Bosch dishwasher and Best Buy immediately matched the price and offered free delivery. This dishwasher works EXCELLENT! I did notice that some of the dishes were still wet but instead of complaining about it in a review, I did the unthinkable.....I read the instructions! I quickly found out how to toggle the dry function back on. Excellent buy for a stainless steel tub dishwasher.

    Avoid this dishwasher

While there are good things about this dishwasher - it's niece looking, quiet, gets dishes very clean - it didn't take long before I began regretting my purchase. First, I didn't realize how non-intuitive the controls are. Since it lacks any kind of screen to tell you time left, what mode it's in, etc., it's hard to figure out what it is doing at any time. The only lights are small LED lights - no numbers, letters, etc. The racks are also very difficult to get dishes placed into - many of the pegs are so close together that it's impossible to get dishes into the racks. Then, after 8 months of use (infrequent use, at that - we only use it 5 or 6 times a week) it began malfunctioning. You press the start button, it cycles for 90 seconds or so, then the clean light comes on. It takes several resets, each initiated after the 90-second - two minutes attempts at starting up before it will run. Since it is under warranty, we have a repairman coming tomorrow to look at it, but I can't help but wonder - if it's malfunctioning after 8 months, what's going to be the lifespan of this unit? 2 or 3 years? Not happy at all. Should have gone with another brand.

    Luv the unit so far

I have a couple of items to report, first of all Best Buy is great, they scheduled and dilvered the unit as promissed. First class operation in my book. Now lets get to the unit, first of all I chose to install the unit myself and I would like to pass a couple of tips to you. I saved atleast $120.00 - $150.00. This unit installs real easy. 1. Save the elbow from your old dishwasher, the new dishwashed does not come with one and will be required to hook up the water line. 2. This elbow connects right on the front of the unit. Your existing copper water line cannot be re-used becuase of the front loaction. Go to Lowes or your hardware store and get a flexable line for this water connection. Make sure you measure and add two feet to what ever you need. 3. Power cords are not supplied so save your old one 4. If your old dishwasher is hardwired this is ok the new unit can be hardwired not requiring the power cord. 5. Make sure the new dishwasher is level becuase the unit will not turn on, this is very easy to level becuse of the adjustable front legs I cannot report on the operation of this unit just yet becuase we dont have any dirty dishs. We will update this post by next week

    Unbelievably quiet

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

After our dishwasher of indeterminably old age stopped cleaning dishes, I decided to invest in something quieter, since we couldn't hear our TV in the next room when the old one was running. After much research, I decided on this one. I know I made the right choice. When it was delivered, the first thing I noticed was the incredible thickness of the soundproofing wrapped around it. My brother installed it, it took about an hour and a half. Didn't appear to be a totally easy install, but I'm also not the handiest person. The biggest pro of this dishwasher is the quiet factor. All I really hear is water sloshing around, and an occasional sound like a loud click when it switches from wash to rinse, etc. I have demonstrated the wash cycle to a couple of people as they stood right next to it and they couldn't believe it was running. In fact, I often forget I have turned it on until I walk into the kitchen and stand near it-- I'm not exaggerating. My husband, who was initially skeptical ("how quiet can it be?"), can't get over it either. In terms of washing, you must use a rinse aid with this machine. Dishes come out cleaner and there is a light that indicates when you need to replenish it, making it a no-brainer. As far as dishwashing detergent, Bosch recommends using Finish brand Powerball tabs, so that's what I use. I tried using a liquid detergent and the dishes did not come out as clean as with the Finish tabs. They're not exactly cheap but you can find coupons for them, and buy them at discount stores like Ocean State Job Lot. The length of time to complete a cycle seems about average to me, around an hour. Now the cons. The "tall tub" label is slightly deceiving, as the interior of the dishwasher is smaller than what I'm used to. My old clunker seemed to hold quite a bit more. But, if you are a small family this shouldn't be too much of an issue. I also notice that the inside of the machine gets a bit stinky when dirty dishes are sitting in it. I don't know if that is common, but it never happened with the old washer. Some other reviewers said the dishes don't come out dry enough. I only notice water in the bottoms of my coffee mugs on the top rack. Otherwise, my dishes come out dry. Oh, and inexplicably, the power cord has to be purchased separately. So if you're looking for something quiet, check out this dishwasher, or really, any Bosch product--I have only heard one dishwasher that is quieter, and it was also a Bosch. I would absolutely buy this dishwasher again.

Don't buy. Noisy, feels cheap, tough to load

Do not buy! You've been warned. First, it's not quiet and I have no idea why so many say it is. It sounds like a waterfall in my kitchen when it's running. The door must be paper thin. Ironically it's on a pulley system that makes the door difficult to open rather than easy. There is a lot of resistance to open the entire range. The whole product weighs about 20 lbs. The controls are flimsy plastic buttons that are horrible to operate. Several lights remain lite after the load is run. they go out when you open the door, but then an additional light starts blinking after the door is closed. It won't go away until you turn the washer on and off. I've never had a dishwasher you didn't just press start. Not this one. You have to turn it on first. Like others said, the tines are too close together and difficult to fit dishes. I can only fit about half the amount as my old washer. There really is no layout to the interior. It's not clear what is or was designed to go where. I wish I could return. I'm seriously thinking about taking my losses and selling it. Yes, it's that bad. I would never take the time to write this if it wasn't that bad.

I bought this unit after moving into my house in November. The dishwasher that was in the house sounded like a freight train, which was especially magnified since the entire house has wood floors. This is super quiet and does a great job. I never have any stuck on food and the cycles run quick, as well. I like the fact that you can do a half load of dishes with this washer. Overall a GREAT product!!

Loving that my dishes are actually getting clean now! This unit is quiet and washes well. No more major rinsing before putting dishes in the dishwasher. None of the Bosch models have a heat dry setting, which just takes some getting used to.

Always wanted a Bosch and finally got one! It is very quiet, looks nice. However, both racks are very consumer UNfriendly. I have to use my dishwasher almost twice as often as the old one (for only two of us)because I can't figure out how in the world to make the racks fit nearly as many items. Very disappointed in this part of it.

This dishwasher is SO quiet! It's running right now, a few feet from me, and I can easily hear my typing over the dishwasher. We can run it while we're sleeping, something we couldn't do with our old one. It gets everything very clean, too. Very good dishwasher!

    Nice Dishwasher!

I've been using the dishwasher for several weeks now, and I am quite pleased. Initially, it seemed a little louder than I expected, but really it's a pleasant sound, and it's actually working sounds. What I mean is that you can hear the water being sprayed around the dishwasher, and I like that! Overall, it's very quiet. The dishes get very clean & hot when it's done. I love the fact that I have a filter to clean rather than a "maintenance-free" piece of equipment that will stop working right soon. It's a little smaller than my last dishwasher (LG), but it cleans better. The dishes are not always 100% dry, but they are always almost completely dry, so no problem here. It seems to go through rinse aid fast. This is not a cheap dishwasher. I wish both baskets came out further than they do. The lower basket can get off track easily.
