Love this dishwasher for its looks, and performance. Stainless steel matches other components in the kitchen. It runs quietly and cleans very well.

We bought the Bosch unit to replace our Whirlpool washer, which lasted 16 years. With the Whirlpool washer you only needed to push one button. The Bosch unit you push the on off button, then wash cycle, then sanitize button, then the start button. The on off and start buttons are 20th century technology. Kind of flimsy. Bosch unit is 2 inches less in depth than the Whirlpool. Why do they have a plastic bottom?? Sides and top are stainless steel. Basically I think all washers clean well. All the insides are just about all the same, spray arms, etc. Kenmore Elite bottom arm is different. It is very quiet. The question is, how long will it last. Tried to return to Best Buy for different model, wanted 25% restocking fee.

We bought this from Best Buy in September 2013. It's a solid and very quiet dishwasher. Two drawbacks: it doesn't have a heating element and the silverware tray is on the side. I called Bosch to ask why I couldn't get the dishwasher to heat dry the dishes. They said their products don't have a heating element to save on energy. The dishes "dry" in the stainless steel tub by the heat generated by the cycle. It sort of works. The silverware is moist most of the time after washing, even after it sits in the tub for several hours. Bosch wants you to use a "drying agent" so they want to save energy but in order to do that they want you to put chemicals on your dishes. That makes no sense. The silverware tray is on the side which requires you to pull out the bottom rack (which is picky with German precision to be rolled back perfectly) in order to put items in the slots in the very back. Inconvenient. So although it's a good product, I would not recommend it or buy it again. There are other products out there that solve both of the points above and do just as good of a job washing the dishes.

Our old dishwasher was so loud we had to turn the TV up to drown out the noise. You cant even tell this one is running. Cleans great an drys good. Very pleased with this product!

We've had this dishwasher for about a month now and we have been very happy. It gets the dishes nice and clean; the only downside is that drying takes a bit long, but since we don't have a need/desire to run multiple loads back to back this hasn't been a problem.

We bought this dishwasher to replace an old GE. Before reading my below comments keep in context the only issue we had with our old GE was that it was loud and died after 11 yrs. None of the below items were an issue. Cons: With the Bosch my wife complains about it almost every time we use it. You must prewash most dishes by hand because the dishwasher cannot remove minor bulk debris. The back end of the utensil basket almost always leaves visible food on the items after cleaning. For our normal day to day dishes 1/3 of the bottom rack is unusable because the prongs are so close together. This dishwasher has no ability to dry, ever. Expect your dishes to be soaking wet on the top of items that can gather water. Lastly you must hand clean the filter after every use or you will notice a terrible smell. Pros: The Bosch is very quiet. You can only notice it is running if you are within a couple feet. It has a nice modern look and appears to be made of quality materials. The Bosch brand name may carry some status if your into that kinda stuff. Closing comment: Our refrigerator is about the same age as our old dishwasher. When the fridge dies we will be replacing our dishwasher as well. Mabye to get a decent cleaning dishwasher you have to buy one of the Bosch dishwashers closer to $800. At this price point avoid this brand, there are plenty of other options.

Great dishwasher that is well built and very quiet. It was on sale so the price was great also.

This is the second Bosch I have owned; my previous (in a different house) was a top of the line Bosch and was also over 2 times the price. This machine is not quite as quiet, but works well. My only "dislike" on this machine is that the soap cup sticks (and no detergent comes out) unless you use the hard tabs/blocks of detergent. Now I use Finish Hardballs and it works fine...but I struggled with the liquids until I figured out that was why the cup wasn't opening--and my dishes were dirty. Overall a very good machine for the price.

Our second Bosh and we love it. Had to replace our Bosch about a year ago. We bought another brand to replace the Bosch and hated it! We bought this model and really like it. Dishes always come out clean.

I have a large family of 6. The unit looked smaller than what I owned before, but to my surprise....it fits as many dishes or more than my former Kenmore. It fits two large pots without a problem for spaghetti night plus there's room for all the plates and cups. Look at the manual's suggested loading methods to help you out. I do own a smaller silverware sorter so I will use that on occasion to make even more room for larger dishes if I need to. Liquid detergent works fine in my dishwasher and I've had no problems with the dispenser opening up like others have had. I am so happy with this dishwasher. I will make sure to stick with this brand in the future and highly recommend it. I paid for the installation & the new installation kit and feel it was worth it (they were running the $19.99 install special).

Great diswasher at a great price. I love the half load feature on the Bocsh. My Whirlpool dishwasher that was in our new home never got my dishes clean. It was so noisy and took forever to run a load of dishes, so I finally replace it with the Bocsh.

I purchased this Bosch - Evolution Ascenta 24" Tall Tub Built-In Dishwasher - White July of 2012. I forgot to leave a review so will do that now. When my handyman came to install it for me he got it all set up. Then he said "Well, lets turn it on to see if we have any leaks." So we turned it on and we both waited. He was kneeling down in front of the D.W. and I was standing. He says, "I don't think it came on, do you hear anything?" I said, "No I don't." So I leaned down and put my ear closer to the front and he got his head closer as well. It was so darn quiet that we could barely hear it run. I love this dishwasher. I use the recommended dishwasher cleaner Finish that was recommended. I have hard water but the inside of this D.W. sparkles and the stainless inside has no water spots at all. Even my glasses do not have water spots on them. I can't say enough great things about this D.W.. You won't be sorry if you choose this one. I gave this five stars because there is not a single thing I would change about this unit. The worst thing may be the price but you get what you pay for so I didn't mind that.

Does not clean well, leaves soap scum unless you cut the soap amount down so low that there is not enough soap to clean. Bottom rack has no guides and falls out unless you handle it very carefully. Rack configuration appears to hold lots of dishes but really does not. And the racks are configured so that each side of an area is not the same, so dishes will not sit properly in the racks. Requires regular and ongoing filter cleaning. But the Worst part is that it SMELLS. No, I mean really, it STINKS, it smells. The sump is designed so that standing water from a wash get stagnate. It has no air flow baffles to channel odors away. The second you open the door your hit in the face with a stink, even after dishes are freshly washed, much less if they are left inside for a day or two waiting for the washer to be filled. I have owned several dishwashers over the years. Nothing I have ever owned compares to this dishwasher. Not even close. I will probably throw it out even though it is less than 4 months old and buy a different brand. Bosch customer support has recommended several things to correct the stink problem but none have helped. They have explained why it stinks. So it is a know problem.

My wife and I wanted to upgrade our energy in-efficient appliances after receiving this years tax return. We shopped around for several weeks and researched a variety of models (and from a variety of vendors). After all was said and done, we bought this appliance and we don't regret the purchase in the least. Not only did we get a great deal (at Best Buy), we have noticed a positive difference in our utility bills. We will definitely consider both this brand and place of purchase again the next time we are in the market for an appliance (but hopefully not anytime soon!).

Very pleased with Bosch dishwasher, easy to load, everything comes out sparkling!

Door latch releases during washing, causing the cycle to pause. We tried adjusting the level of the DW, but it did not help. We went back to Best Buy after 24 days and they would not help us at all. We called Bosch, and they are going to send a service rep out to fix it. We will never buy from Best Buy again. We like the Bosch product, but would purchase it from Lowe's in the future. We do not have a local Lowe's but will drive to the next town in the future.

PLEASE NOTICE IN THE PICTURE THE DISH STRAINER FULL OF DISHES ON THE LEFT. THIS MACHINE HAS NOT HAD A DISH, POT, PAN, CUP, OR UTENSIL IN IT FOR 3 WEEKS. THE DISHWASHER DIED 3 MONTHS AFTER WE PURCHASED IT. BOSCH SENT OUT A REPAIRMAN TWICE HE CLAIMED THE LATCH WAS THE PROBLEM AND REMOVED THE PLASTIC ONE AND REPLACED IT WITH A METAL ONE. HE NEVER CAME OUT TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE PRIOR TO THE REPAIR. THIS IS THE ONLY THING HE KNOWS HOW TO REPLACE (NOT REPAIR, REPLACE) AFTER THE FORTH CALL AND WITH ME BEING WALKED THROUGH A COUPLE OF OTHER IDEAS THAT MAY RESOLVE THE PROBLEM, IT STILL DID NOT WORK. MY WIFE CALLED THE FIRST 2 TIMES THEN I TOOK OVER, I FOUND YOU CAN NOT GO UP THE CHAIN OF COMAND AT BOSCH (NO TALKING TO A MANAGER) AND ONCE YOU HAVE PURCHASED YOUR ITEM IF IT FAILS, YOU ARE NO LONGER AN IMPORTANT CUSTOMER TO THEM, OVER THE PAST 6 WEEKS WITH OUT A DISH WASHER WE ARE STILL AT WHERE WE WERE AT WEEK 1. I HAVE MADE 10 CALLS OVER THE PAST (I HAVE THE TIMES OF CALLS, DATES OF CALLS AND WHO I SPOKE WITH, AND IT WAS NEVER THE SAME PERSON TWICE) 6 WEEKS ONLY TO BE TOLD THE SAME THING EVERY TIME. MY WIFE RESEARCHED DISHWASHERS IN CONSUMER REPORTS, AND IT WAS A "TOP CHOICE" THIS WASHER FAILED, AND THE MANUFACTURER HAS NO CONCERNS AFTER YOU GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. I GUARANTEE UPPER MANAGEMENT AT BOSCH WOULD NEVER TOLERATE THIS KIND OF TREATMENT. IT'S A SHAM THEY EXPECT US TO LAY DOWN AND BE QUIET, AND ACCEPT BEING KICKED IN THE MOUTH. IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN HERE. P.S. THEY WANT TO DO A BUY BACK, BUT EXPECT US TO EAT THE $150 DOLLARS FOR DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION FOR SOMETHING THAT FAILED AFTER 3 MONTHS. CAUTION: I WAS TOLD THIS MODEL NEVER COMPLETELY DRAINS THERE IS ALWAYS STANDING WATER IN IT. BEST OF LUCK TO YOU

This is an awesome dishwasher! Quiet and has everything you need to get those dirty dishes clean. Remarkable! I love it! Does it all...
