Bosch Powercord

Bosch power cord junction box

The Bosch power cord junction box is required if a normal 110 power outlet is not within 6 feet of the dishwasher. This junction box has a lower profile than your average 110 wall outlet. There is a bank of cabinet drawers between my dishwasher and the kitchen sink. The low profile box allows it to be installed without impacting the movement of the drawers. There is room for a normal wall outlet behind the drawers, but the height plug-in cord (plus an outlet box) would have impacted the drawer movement.

Best Buy Makes Purchasing Needed items a Joy

I ordered it on line from a Best Buy, and picked it up two days before my new dishwasher arrived. Instructions for installation were easy to follow. BTW, I am a 65 year old lady, and yes, anyone can manipulate a few wires, and hook a new a Bosch dishwasher up, if required. Heads up, please be safe, use safety glasses and check twice the correct circuit breaker is turned off.
