But we found that we didn’t need it as the electrical plug was integrated with the dishwasher we purchased.

Delivers power as designed

I plug it in and it delivers power as designed. I don't go around to parties and tell all my friends how cool this dishwasher cord is, but it doesn't mind. I'm not a huge fan of the fact that these things always cost extra on top of buying the appliance but it is what it is.

It is needed to provide power to an appliance and be code compliant. It is intended for that purpose and it does its job well, but it is not very exotic or interesting; however that is probably asking too much of this simple device.

Needed for direct wired connections

Good thing for me, as I needed it. Unit is well made, had no problems getting everything connected. This is not needed with the Bosch dishwasher if you have an outlet connection. If your setup is direct to the house wires, you must have this.
