This turned out not to be true, as the dishwasher included a connection cord which could connect to the dishwasher electrical outlet. This product is only required if one desires to hardwire the dishwasher, which is not a code requirement.

It seems to be a forced add on that shouldnt be required.

Decided instead to install an outlet and use the standard plug. It was supplied free with the dishwasher, but I did not use it. If anybody needs one, it's temporarily taking up space in my garage.
