Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.our first junction box failed after 2 dishwasher cycles. hard wire electrical connections started to arc inside the Bosch junction box. we smelled smoke when dishwasher was running. called Best Buy service who sent out a new dishwasher. When installing the new replacement dishwasher, we discovered the wires inside the Bosch Juntion Box were arcing and burning the inside walls of the junction box. Bosch should redesign diswasher to eliminate the junction box and just hard wire the electrical connection directly to the dishwasher, just like the older Bosch dishwashers were made, and most other dishwasher brands do. the Bosch Junction box appears to be just another way to charge for extra installation parts that are not needed by other dishwashers.

I am confused about the product

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While I,ve needed a dishwasher for a few months,I waited till.my washing machine stopped working properly ,till I seriously looked into buying one .When my wife heard/saw there was a Bosch available for only $499 ,she felt we should jump on it.We did ...Yes it,s low end model.....& the dishes get cleaned ,but the racks slide in & out in a wierd manner & the soap sometimes does not dispirse properly....something is wrong.

After Box was installed the clearance was very close, to fit the dishwasher back in.

It just caused confusion to have it there. It should be an option. I don’t think there was a direct cost for it but I’m sure that they charge more for installation or the dishwasher to cover the cost of including one of these with every dishwasher.
