Bosch dishwashers should go back to having a standard hardwire connection. Because of this change we had to hire an electrician to move the wiring and have this annoying box under the sink. If I had understood this change, I would have purchased a different brand dishwasher. Beware!

Didn't use as it would require a changing out the existing wall plug or extending the circuit to include a new box just for this use. Except for possible new construction use it is useless.

Well luckily I didn't need to use it because it was broken in numerous pieces! I am able to pull in my unit so I didn't need the part and it's too far of a distance back to the store to get another one just in case I'd every need to switch the connection.

I asked them if I really needed it and he said yes. That junction box is only needed if you have to hardwire it. I already have an outlet in the floor and and inside of the dishwasher was the cord I needed. It goes from dishwasher to plug in outlet. Now I have to return it and it is over a 1/2 hour, when I get time.
