The display originally was not hooked up. He took the time to hook up the display allowing us to sample the speaker selection provided.

Better than expected speakers from Bose

I purchased a Yamaha powered subwoofer to use with these and the balance and power of the combination are outstanding. Put on "Sorrow" from Pink Floyd and the bass was deep and clean with the midrange and highs provided by the 301's was clear and not shrill. Loving the setup now!
