This is a great unit if you are looking to save space and use a sound bar (I use with a Bose soundtouch 300). Clear, substantive bass though a bit pricey compared to other solutions (that granted take up more space).

Bought this to pair with my Bose Soundbar 700. For the price has good deep base but also not over the top. Setup from the Bose app took less than two minutes.

Like every other Bose product I have ever owned, this subwoofer is not going to leave you wanting more bass. It won’t do extremely loud bass without serious distortion, but it will do good movie bass without overpowering the rest of the effects. The only drawback is that I am used to a knob to adjust the “volume” for the subwoofer, but this unit is controlled through the Bose Music app that also controls the sound bar (500 and 700 units both) and the noise cancelling headphones (the 700 headphones only). With a little tweaking you can get great sound with a clean separation between the highs and lows so the voices don’t get drowned out by the other action.

The year is 2020, if you have an older model Bose SoundTouch 300 Soundbar or let's say Bose Soundbar 500, get this Bass Module 500 before they're gone. They will stop selling this particular model and future bass module models may not be compatible with your soundbar unit. Believe me! this addtion to your soundbar system will double the satisfaction of the pricey purchase. During the "break-in period" play some music with known loud bass like techno,electric or disco lol! this will stretch the speaker's diaphragm and will sound even better. Mine flawlessly sweeps the low frequency deep and loud. Movies sounds good! and can get loud!

Love the thunderous bass, and when paired with the soundbar, you really do not need to go to the movies.

I'm not an audiophile so this is for average people. I recently bought a new tv with a Bose soundbar. My salesman recommend I not get the lowend sound bar so I could upgrade to an added subwoofer. So I got the 500 model soundbar. . After I got it home I wasn't satisfied with the sound, so I got a subwoofer. I got the subwoofer and a 3.5 mm cable so I could plug it in instead go through the hassle of addig it with an app. I plugged it in to the soundbar and the subwoofer and it worked. I'm happy with the sound. I think it's a good safe buy unless you want to read The Absolute Sound for two years before making up your mind.

This little guy packs a punch. I paired this with my Bose Soundbar. Hookup is very easy. My only wish would be sub control on the soundbar remote.

Expensive but worth the price! Makes a huge difference in the sound bar sound. Looks nice and is small. Highly recommended.

Great deep bass but a little expensive for the full price. Nice that it is universal with all Bose speakers. It does not unfortunately have wireless compatibility with the Bose TV speaker but it can be connected via aux. Ideal for smaller rooms like a Master Bedroom but anything bigger I would recommend the 700 module.

this pairs simply with the bose soundbar, it has very slick and smooth control, and sounds really good. if you go with bose soundbar you should probably get this, too.
