Can barely hear the bass. Not worth the price at all!!!

Started dropping and popping noise. Tried different wireless configurations even thru 3.5 audio cord no luck. Sounds good when it works very disappointed.

So difficult to connect. Blue tooth and app are clunky.

You can't go wrong with this excellent Bose sub-woofer. Crystal clear, magnificent sound always clear, crisp, and heart throbbing. Easily set up wirelessly and hearing the beautiful sound difference. You will instantly think and feel as if you have purchased a brand new TV after connecting this sub-woofer and noticing a major sound difference throughout the room and entire house. This sub-woofer is beautifully designed, taking up very little space, producing beautiful sounds. I love it!

This is a great bass module and companion to the 500 Sound Bar that I installed in my bedroom. The setup was easy, plug it in and it automatically connects to the sound bar. The bass is noticeable and easily adjustable in the Bose app. This is a pretty small module, and the pair are pretty expensive. I have this in my bedroom and am not sure if it would be enough sound in my living room. That said, I am thrilled with the sound and the boom I get in my bedroom with this device and the sound bar. Bose just makes great products.

The Bose 500 Sub-woofer is the companion sub-woofer for the Bose 500 Soundbar. Setup is quite straightforward. Just plug the device and put it in a corner and use the Bose Music app to add it to the Bose 500 Soundbar. Also this works for the Bose 700 and Bose Soundtouch 300 theough both soundbars have their matching sub-woofers. But that’s the beauty of it. It’s a mix and match between these soundbars. That said this sub-woofer has mixed review with some claiming that it lacks punch. While Bose does not really release specs and is lower than the Bose 700 sub or the AM300 sub, this relatively small sub-woofer can still pack a punch. You just have to do the setup in the Bose Music App. Do note the Bose 500 is the entry level of the two Alexa enabled soundbars, its performance though having the signature Bose sound may not appeal to everyone. For those wanting a louder sound then the 700 series or the 300 series or maybe even the Acoustimass line maybe better for you. But for those having a smaller space, the Bose 500 sub can adequately supplement the Bose 500 soundbar with room filling and thumping sound. For those with a Bose 500, this is a highly recommended addition.

It has amazing sound quality and makes me feel like I am watching my shows at the theatre. The design is very sleek, and looks great with my TV. It seems very durable. It was quick and easy to set up straight from the box, and I had absolutely no issues with setup. I have used it for about a month and have had no issues! This was a great addition to my movie-watching/music-listening experience!

I bought this unit with the sound bar. Base was not good.

This is a very low profile but very powerful subwoofer. It’s a sleek matte black compact cube (looks like a simple black box from far but there’s more to the design when you get up close to it) that’s a little under a foot high (at about 10x10x10 inches). It’s built well and is sturdy/heavy. It’s wireless (only has a power chord) so it was convenient for me to put it in the corner out of sight - i didn’t have to stretch wires from it to my entertainment center. Setting it up was also quick (a matter of minutes) and easy - all that was needed was the Bose app and connection to the WiFi - i was able to pair it with my Bose Sound-Bar 500 which i also paired with Alexa - so i was able to stream music through both. The music i stream and the movies i play “feel” more real. It’s a very powerful subwoofer - adds a lot of effect to movies and really fills the room and then some. I like the rumble it gives to the floors and walls - immerses me in the movie and its effects.

So I got this sub after my sound bar so I got to say I’m empressed. I love the deep bass and I love how it is dark black so it’s easily hidable. Also the sub is wireless. For music it brings out the thump and the same for movies. So great addition to the sound bar love it!!!!

Way better than, I could ever expect from a subwoofer and to complete my Bose surround sound setup. Highly recommend not as cheap as the others but definitely knocks it out of the park and so it's a big difference from the others systems you can get.

The Bose Bass Module 500 subwoofer is designed to compliment the Bose 500 Soundbar. The module can however be used with the Bose 700 and Bose 300 soundbars too. My Bose Soundbar 500 sounds amazing when playing music and movies. The bass is really quite good on the Soundbar alone but you know they make the subwoofer bass module for a reason. Unboxing reveals the the Bass Module 500, a power cord, and a basic manual. That’s it. It is wireless after all. You can use a wired connection if so you chose. The bass module comes wrapped in a fabric cover. Nice touch. The bass measures 10”x10”x9.5” which is smaller than I would have expected. Bass is of course non directional so I place it out of the way under a chair. Bose suggests placing it along the same wall as your TV and Soundbar. The manual simply tells you to plug it in and then use the Bose music app to complete setup. You simply tap on the Soundbar icon within the app, select settings, and select add accessory. The app searched and quickly discovered the bass and connected it to the Soundbar. Wow! That’s it, it couldn’t be more simple. I immediately wanted to hear the difference so I started with music. I selected a few favorites from a few different music genres and I could quickly sense the difference. As expected music now had a punch. Bass was deep. When I cranked the volume this thing seriously thumps. Switching the source to a movie I quickly noted a far more atmospheric sound particularly during action scenes. Love it. The Bass Module 500 is a fantastic addition to my Bose 500 Soundbar and very effectively makes a great product even better. Great product.

We have been using the Bass 500 module with the Sound Bar 500 for about a month. (see Sound bar review separate) the bass unit paired very easily with the sound bar and through the Bose app. The unit is smaller than I expected but delivered room filling base even in our larger living room, TV, room area. The bass sound is full and complete. Using the app can up the bass or lower according to sound source and taste with very little effort. in total, we were very pleased with the bass unit. the only thing I might add is to get the satellite speakers to complete the full sound settings: sound bar, bass unit AND satellite speakers. I would recommend these units to any friend or family.

Sleek-looking, easy to set up via the Bose App, and wireless connectivity to the soundbar are some of the advantages of this subwoofer. No cable needs to run to the soundbar so you have freedom to place it anywhere in the room if there is a power supply by it. Bose isn't known for "Bass thumping or Bass-dropping" beats, but this woofer does deliver if you are looking for "clean" low sounds. You won't get distorted sounds even when it's louder, and that's part of the engineering ingenuity of Bose sound products. I am well pleased with this product and the ease of pairing to it's sister device, the Bose Soundbar 500. Small package, big sound. Love it.

I was surprised that the compact size of this subwoofer produced such a big sound. It produces a nice sense of shake and vibration when you play action movies, and hip-hop or rock without annoying distortion. It also allows for a tight, punchy sound allowing for suitable playback of pop, jazz, and classical music. The wireless setup allows for quick pairing with your Bose Soundbar to bring your media room to life. Also noted- voices are not lost as can happen with some bass units when added to your peripheral audio units.

This subwoofer definitely compliments the bose soundbar very well by expanding on the much deeper tones. It's really easy to set up, if you already have the sounbdar setup you simply sync this using the same app and you're good to go. Your presets should automatically extend to the sub but I found it better to test them and set them up again so you can test out the full power of the bass. The module itself is pretty small. and doesn't call any attention to itself, almost like it just belongs there.

I got this with the bose 500 sounbar. The soundbar doesn't make a lot of bass without a sub so it made sense to get them together. If you already have a sub it may work with the sounbar but you may have to run a wire to it. This works wirelessly with the 500 soundbar and makes great bass in a small package. You can also run a wire to it if you don't like wireless. I tried it in my medium size living room and works well. Complements the sounbar very well. Nice job bose.

I opted for the 500 bass module to pair with the Bose 500 soundbar rather than the 700 due to the size of my TV/stand and living room area. I hoped that the 500 would provide enough sound for my living space and it definitely delivers! Setup was a breeze, it automatically paired once I had the soundbar set up. Using the app I adjusted the bass volume and it fills my room perfectly. Its on the smallish side, which I love, and it sure puts out the bass! Great product.

I as asked to review this along with the Bose sound bar 500. I cannot wait to buy this for myself. The sound is unsurpassed. I can control this with the Bose app on my phone. Set up was a breeze. It’s sleek and even sexy looking and does not have a big foot print. It fits in with my living room decor quite nicely. I love Bose products and this simply did not disappoint. If you were on the fence about this, buy with confidence. You will not be disappointed.
