Bass Module 700 vs Bass Module 500

The Bass Module 500 was great for music but sounded boomy in movies and failed to provide the low-end grunt needed. The Bass Module 700 on the other hand sounded like a proper Home Theater Subwoofer. Natural sounding with tight impactful and powerful bass. The difference was night and day. Not that the 700 was just louder than the 300, but the quality of the bass was entirely different. So I returned the Base Module 500 and upgraded to a Base Module 700. The Base Module 700 is compatible with both Bose Soundbars 300 and 700 (and the 500 per Bose's website, though the 500 appears to be discontinued). The crossover points are well matched; providing a seamless integration of low, mid and high frequencies regardless of either soundbar. So if you already have a Soundbar and are considering adding a Base Module 500, I recommend saving up and getting a Bass Module 700 instead.

had a fantastic experience picking up the product from the store. The Bose 700 subwoofer's bass output truly enhances the soundbar, creating a captivating audio experience that fills my spacious 1000 sqft area with an impressive and satisfying level of richness.

I have this paired with the sound bar and rear speakers and it sounds great. I had to hard wire the subwoofer bra aisle I had some distortion connecting it wirelessly.

Bass, I was looking for booming floor shaking bass and I got it. And the sounds is so clear. Worth the money. Also buy the 3.5mm connector jack for it so it will keep a solid connection.

Looks and works well- finally a glass top that is easy to clean. Nice low profile and wireless sync to the soundbar. Adds a nice touch to the system without the bulk of older speakers. At higher volumes you'll get some feedback "crackle" when the bass is set higher (for the lower volume deeper bass). Dissapointed but, expected I guess.

Fantastic sound. Looks so good in the living room. Easy set up. Bose quality through and through. Matched up with the 500 sound bar and works great. Not a big fan of having to use the Bose app to set everything up.

I replaced my old Samsung set from 2018. This thing blows the old one out of the water. I only set the bass level at 50% because my whole place was vibrating. I live in a condo and have to mind the neighbors. I also didn’t know that because Bose sells their home theater a la cart, you can connect two of these with your Bose sound bar; not that you would need another.

So I already had the Bose 300 sound bar and I decided to pair it up with this Bose 700 sub. One of the best decisions I’ve made in my life! You can really hear and experience the full spectrum of sounds with this perfect combination of Bose speakers. You don’t know what you’re missing until you hook this bass beast up.. Wow! It really makes for a theater-like experience especially paired with the LG 86” monster tv.. The bass comes in at just the right moment and doesn’t overpower the dialogue but definitely compliments it. It’s powerful, low bass that surrounds you in beautiful low frequencies that are both felt and heard. Thanks Best Buy, for hooking me up with the best home entertainment system I’ve ever owned. Love reading all the reviews and being able to make an informed decision. Expensive? Yes! Bose is not known for being average and you get what you pay for. This one is a no brainer and I’m super happy with my decision to buy it.

Bose sure dose have user friendly first class sound system. When the walls are rocking do not bother knocking since you will be rocking. Bose has all all of the cool items from years ago to todays date. Bose will support you for ever. I was talking to a Bose representative one day and they were telling me since you are a Bose owner and even if you are out of the warranty window for many years and if the Bose item is not working properly to call Bose and talkto there support teams and more than likely with a very high persentage Bose will help you with repair and even replacement. As for this Subwoofer This is a ver nice and clean sounding system when you connect this to the Bose 700 sound-bar along with the Bose complete rear wireless speakers. Then when you really would like to rock the walls you can add a 2nd subwoofer and keep on rocking. Along with the app for your phone. After you are all setup use the head set with the sound bar and hang on and crank it up to rock.

I was quite happy with my sound bar 700 purchase, so was hesitant to invest another $800 to add a subwoofer. Once the price dropped I decided to take the plunge and boy did it make a difference?! The depth of the sound and the range have increased tenfold. Now I’m debating adding surround sound speakers. Will need to save up for those - they aren’t cheap, especially after adding the floor stands, too. However the whole set will end up costing me less than 1/2 of the Lifestyle 650 System with comparable sound quality (I am using it in my den - a small space, which doesn’t need a full system), so definitely a good price to quality ratio for my purpose. My only suggestion is to replace the black power cable with the white one. I had to buy a white one on eBay for $15, as it bothered me. I did the same with the Sound Bar cable and the white PS4 Pro cable, since the whole room is white and everything needed to match.

Base module definitely deserves 4 stars as it improves the experience if you have a SB 700 Soundbar. If you are not a bass head then Soundbar 700 will be good enough for you. Pros: Deep and clear bass Quality build Wireless connectivity

Good base. Connects with the app well and integrates to the soundbar flawlessly. Have to pay attention to where it’s placed in relation to the sound bar, else good, I had it placed a little too far and I could barely feel it. Once I moved it a bit closer, I could feel the base a lot more, got it open box so I feel I got good value for the money.
