This product is meant to be paired with the corresponding soundbar. Setup is done through an app that has a lengthy setup process including setup of the soundbar. I spent a considerable amount of time during the initial setup trying to get the subwoofer to pair without success. I finally gave up and finished the rest of the soundbar setup process, planning to pair the subwoofer later. When I finally tried to pair it through the app settings after completing the soundbar setup, it was already paired. I don't know if the soundbar found the subwoofer on its own or what, but it was a lot of wasted time and needless struggle trying to use the preprogrammed setup process. Once paired, I haven't had any issues with it, it just sits unobtrusively against the wall, pumping out the low end. It does add a lot to the soundbar.

My review for bose sound bar bass module. The bass module is a must have for your bose sound bar. It has a nice deep bass and adds to the sound a perfect combo. And looks great as well. Definitely worth having. The only downside, which I talk about for my review with the bose 700 sound bar. But the sound bar it self lacks being able to adjust the bass manually without having to use the app. As well as if you want to turn the bass off you will have to use the app. Other then that, the bass is great.

This Sub matched with the Bose soundbar is just out of this world. It adds that much more of an immense experience. If you are able to use the sub without annoying any neighbors, go crazy. It is definitely worth it!

I bought the 700 soundbar and 700 bass module. I had a cheap LG one prior that last about five years before crapping out on me. I never had any issue with it prior. Hooking up this Bose system I had issues right away. The bass module made a distorted noise. I talked to Bose support and they recommended returning for an exchange. It was a bad experience at the store trying to exchange. The serial number on the bass module did not match the sn on the box. Some manager comes out and tells me there's no way they can return it and tries to send me on my way. End up calling Bose and they confirm it is normal for the SN's not to match. So I get another manager and have him talk to the Bose rep and then they do the exchange. I get the new one home and same freaking problem. It was recommended I try a different power strip, I did and nothing different same problem. Then I read on the Bose website community forum that others were having this problem too and Bose reps recommended connecting via 3.5 mm cable. What!? This is sold as a wireless pair, now you want me to wire them up? Well I gave it a shot and the cable seems to remedy the issue. The sound is very clean and crisp so I guess I have to decide whether to keep it and just deal with how much I paid for this wireless system and its not wireless or return and go for another brand. Saw the Sony HT-ST5000 got some rave reviews, so maybe I'll try that instead.

I want to tell everyone how great this sub is... HOWEVER, I cannot do that because of all of the issues I have had with it. Upon reading farther into the reviews, I see that the sub has popping issue that is caused by a wifi signal in your home. There is only one fix for this.. TURN OFF YOUR WIFI! Who in todays world that has wifi in their home wants to turn it off to enjoy quality sound from their sound system in the living room?! I have contacted Bose support and they said "Try a 3.5mm auxiliary cord." It does resolve the issue, however if I paid over $1500 for this sound system, sub and speaker together, and I expect it to work like it should. No matter the cost, I feel that I would get better luck out of Samsung sound system for more than a 1/4th of the cost. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS SPEAKER, UNLESS YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE WIFI IN YOUR HOME. Now if you can live with the sub being connected to the sound bar, it will provide you amazing sound, deep bass, and a seamless user experience. Highly recommend for any size area. Smart home integration provides a clean elegant experience that is even appealing to the eye!

Love the subwoofer addition to my sound bar. Sounds great. Best Buy delivered next day. I was worried by people saying it wouldn’t be enough. It does everything I want and is easy to adjust in the Bose App. Plug and play.

I actually switched fron the JBL 9.1 to the Bose 900 at the last minute and am very pleased with my decision. This sub to go along with the two rear speakers and my 900 soundbar have created the ultimate listening experience. Trust the people who have been the leaders in sound forever!!

This sub takes the listening experience to a whole new level when watching movies. Not sure I would recommend it for just music listening as I find the Soundbar 700 to provide adequate bass. I like it for the ease of setup and knowing it's a quality product. A little pricey for what you get, but that's Bose in general.

700 Base , Unbelievable feeling and sound! It will blow you away! I also purchased the 900 Bose sound bar..

I have a Bose system that this replaced which the previous cost more. However this subwoofer performed way above the previous to the point I reconnected the old and played the same movie and could tell the difference. Very good powered sub. You won’t be disappointed for the price.

Easy set up, great sound. Also the box that Bose equipment comes in great quality.

The bass module is a necessary compliment to the soundbar 700. The wireless connectivity works much better then my previous cinemate 120 wireless module. The sound is rich and crisp. The bass level is easily adjusted via the app, which could use an overhaul of the UI.

I have two of these paired with my lifestyles 600. The bass is absolutely thunderous. It is like another earthquake every time I turn it up. Here is a hint, if you really want your mind blown, turn the Adaptic EQ off, the low bass that pops out is out of this world.

You should not purchase the soundbar without the bass module. This thing rocks! The bass is so deep and clear. Rocks the entire room. And it's adjustable. It's a beautiful piece of tech also so it will look great in your room.

Works great in a bose environment. I’ve owned this now for over 2 years and it hasn’t let me down. It still sounds just like it did on day 1.
