Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have purchased Bose products steadily for 15 years now, this may be my last Bose purchase. The 700 system was expensive as are all Bose products, but with that cost, you generally expect a high end product that you will enjoy for years to come. The 700 system definitely sounded better than my aging 3-2-1 system I replaced, which still works great, and was moved to another room. The problem is with the subwoofer, constant popping, cracking noises, it sounds terrible. Do NOT buy the subwoofer, which really is needed to make the 700 system sound good. Bose should have recalled or replaced this system. Wi-if interference issues? Possibly, who doesn’t have wi-if and connected devices in this day and age. Move the unit around - that does nothing. Hardwire the subwoofer? Who pays several hundreds of dollars for a product that needs to be hard wired? Overall pretty disappointing, I should have read the reviews but instead purchased based on the brand and past experiences, which I won’t do again. As for the sound bar, it sounds good, however Alexa is spotty and at times will blink yellow and stop responding, as if it’s rebooting. Ironically my 20.00 Alexa has never had an issue.

Posted .Hello, thanks for leaving your thoughts on the Bass Module 700. I am so glad to hear that you love the sound quality. Popping in the bass module will be caused by nearby wireless interference. This can be easily resolved by unplugging the system and relocating it to a different position in the room. For busy environments or smaller spaces, the cable can be connected between both systems which is virtually unnoticeable.
A quick reset should fix your Alexa issue. To do this, just unplug all cables including the power cable, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in.

First week it was great and really made the room sound great. Then in the middle of show it started to crackle and pop. Now it does about every 3 mins. Bose says try to hardwire it but that is not possible based on my set up. Then they say oh it must be some kind of wifi interference but they can not fix it. Funny how the $200 system I had did not have these issues. When it works it sounds great but that is few and far between.

We love to see you love the sound from the Bass Module. Crackling and popping can be from wireless interference caused by a router changing it's wireless channel.
Moving the Bass Module aware from your router or the router away from the Bass Module will help.
Fixing the wireless channels of the router will also help.
The wired connection is suggested as it can confirm if it is wireless interference.
