      Hi Bob,

Thanks for incorporating the Bass Module 700 into your home theater setup! Sorry to hear you've had some issues setting it up. The module uses a wireless connection, but doesn't actually use your internet to communicate with the soundbar so your internet speed has no impact on performance. What could be happening, however, is that there could be interference caused by frequencies from your router that could be causing dropouts.

Try moving the bass module or router to a different place in the room to see if that helps. Still having problems? Try making a wired connection to the bar rather than a wireless one.

If you need any help, don't hesitate to get in touch! https://www.bose.com/en_us/contact_us.html

Despite Bose's reputation, their technology is behind all of their competitors. This sub-woofer, spontaneously pops and crackels throughout a show. If you Google "Bose subwoofer pops" the problem is all over the Internet. I suggest buying a Sonos before Bose.

So so performance, lots of issues

The soundbar and bass unit "un-paired" from the remote and wouldn't control it. Followed the recommended way of resetting but that didn't work. The unit doesn't have any physical controls on the sound bar so I was unable to do a factory reset since I didn't have a working remote. I really wanted to like this and was very disappointed by the lack of controls, the sub-par app performance. Returned this and bought a more expensive unit from a different manufacturer.

The Bose base is nice I think, but with no internet service I can't set it up. So it's just sitting there looking pretty. It seems as though with all the technology, Bose could have designed a wired set up option with a volume control knob. You have to go on an APP to adjust the volume! I'm sure once I get internet service I'll be able to get it set up. For now, it's just collection dust.

Hello Matthew, I am so happy to hear you love your Soundbar 700! I am sorry that you feel your bass module did not enhance the audio experience for you. Designed exclusively for the Bose Smart Soundbar 700, it’s the best wireless bass module we’ve ever designed for any of our home cinema systems. In fact, it’s the best performance you can get from a subwoofer of this size. It connects wirelessly to your soundbar and adds even more depth and impact to everything from explosive movie effects to house-rocking playlists. Did you rerun our exclusive ADAPTiQ when adding the bass module? This will re-calibrate your system for the best experience possible.

Way under powered for the soundbar. Very disappointed in spending over 400 buck for this thing. It doesn't sound bad but I'm use to deep bass from my previous system.

The Bose Bass Module 700 is quite a piece of hardware. The Bose name speaks for itself with regards to audio quality, but this sub has a very clean and modern aluminum design with a tempered glass top and sleek overall look. You can see and feel the craftsmanship. It has some nice weight to it (36lbs) and it feels solid and well-built. However, it has a rather small footprint which I really like as that, as well as the wireless pairing capabilities (wired can be done as well), make for a very easy and clean placement. I am using the sub with the corresponding Bose Soundbar 700 so setup/pairing was quite easy, done through a Bose app that also allows for control and customization of the sub itself. While I do like the app, I do wish there was a little more flexibility with some physical controls as well. Further, I would have liked to see some more input/output options. As for the sound, the reason you are here, well, simply, I am very impressed. My main use case for this sub was movies and quite honestly, having never had a sub of this quality before, I am stunned. The bass is deep and immersive, but also loud and clear, if that makes any sense. It brought added life to some of my favorite movies and truly enhanced the experience. I could feel the movies. This was not something I was expecting. At least not on this level. I did also throw some bass heavy music at it, and again, I came away happy. It was not as eye-opening of an experience for me as the movies were, but I loved it nonetheless. Long story short, great bass output. In the end, I am very pleased with this Bose sub. It looks fantastic, is a nice size, allows for placement options, puts out great bass, and is a perfect complement to the Soundbar 700. With premium products, use case and value are always a consideration, so look at your wants/needs, but this sub delivers, and it is worth it to me.

I purchased this, along with the soundbar and rear surround speakers. While I was pleased with the other items, this subwoofer was extremely weak at normal volume levels. Only when maxed out and when listening to music with low frequencies did it output bass. The soundbar actually sounded better without this subwoofer. I ended up returning all components and am sticking with my Sony unit which outperforms this by a landslide.

The sun stated a deep crackle in less than 8 months. Took it in to Best Buy for svc and instead our Svc plan was absorbed and we were refunded for the sub. So we basically rented it for 8 months. Disappointed in Bose product and BB plan for this product.

If you buy this make sure it’s compatible with other sound bars and speakers, mine was an old Bose tv speaker and it wasn’t compatible so I had to return it if I had a new sound bar then I’m sure their it would be no problem other then that I would not buy unless I buy a new sound bar with it. Hi Guy.
Sorry to hear that you have to return your Bass Module 700. If you are having difficulty connecting it using the app, it is usually due to the internet connection signal not being stable. If this is the case, you can easily use an aux cable to plug it in directly at the back of your soundbar, if available. If you require assistance in the future, please contact us here. https://bose.life/3BgUIIU. We would love to help.

Want to feel your music? Got you covered. Overall Impressions: Amazing sound quality, looks beautiful, guaranteed to improve your listening experience for any platform. Set Up: Setting up the Bose Bass Module was amazingly and mindblowingly simple. The Bose Bass Module 700 was used in conjunction with the Bose Soundbar 700 over the course of the last month. In the process of setting up the Soundbar, the Bose App prompts for additional Bose devices. I selected the Bose Bass Module, then had position it so that both were in line of sight for each other. The amazing thing about this to me is that this module is wireless. Beyond plugging it into the wall, the system handles everything else on its own. Use Cases: I've used this system for everything from playing games with subtle sound effects, watching horror films, listening to R+B, or listening to orchestral excerpts while practicing my instrument. The results were always the same: Astonishing. In my discussions with my housemate, I remarked how the bass effect was always felt rather than heard (as opposed to amateur car audio, which sought to blow your ears out). The first day I used this system, I could literally feel the bass in our furniture, but it maintained a sweet zone that allowed me to enjoy whatever I was watching or listening to. The Bose Bass Module truly is a work of art, and is well suited to anyone that really wants to take their listening experience to the next level.

The pictures are bigger than this thing is in real life. Lol. Okay, I'm exagerating. But the base quality and depth is poor. The salesman at BestBuy told me this was their best soundbar and bass setup. For $1300 (for both) I was expecting superior sound. Not what I got. I returned it and got a Harmon Kardon SB26 for only $200 on sale and it is WAY better. Not even close!
