Do not buy!!!!! Sub makes a horrible popping noise. Sent it bose and they sent it back. Still does the same thing. If you are trying to use this wireless foeget it. Go with sonos. I have been a bose fan all my life buti am very dissappointed with this sub. The solution to the popping noise is to run an audio cable to it. The whole reason i bought it was because it was wireless.

Hello Jeff, if the Bass module is still popping after a repair, this suggests that the issue is environmental. If the Bass module or soundbar sits near a device like a Wi-Fi router, this can cause wireless interference and then the bass module can product a popping noise. You can prevent this from happening by hardwiring the Bass module directly to the soundbar, or repositioning the Bass module away from the Wi-Fi router or vice versa. Should you need any further assistance, feel free to contact our technical support team, who will be more than happy to help: bose.life/3rykPZR. Liam - Bose Customer support. bose

The Bose Bass Module 700 is designed to compliment the Bose 700 Soundbar. The module can also be used with the Bose Soundbar 500 and the Bose SoundTouch 300 soundbar. The bass on the 700 Soundbar is really quite good alone but if you want that extra punch you know Bose will deliver with a top notch subwoofer. The box is big but there’s a lot of packaging. I must say it was like peeling layers off an onion to get to the Soundbar but Bose has some ingenious packaging here to aid you. Unboxing reveals the Bass Module 700, a power cord, and a basic manual. That’s it. It is wireless after all. You can use a wired connection if so you chose using a standard 3.5 mm audio cable. The bass module isn’t exactly small. It measures 12.9”x11.6”x11.6” and weighs in at a whopping 36 pounds. Bass is of course non directional so that gives you flexibility for placement, however Bose does suggest placing it along the same wall as your TV and Soundbar. It should also be placed on the floor for best sound. At this size the Bass Module is a bit hard to hide so its a good thing that it’s one good looking piece of audio equipment. The tempered glass top really gives this thing a high quality look. The manual simply tells you to plug it in and then use the Bose Music app to complete setup. You simply tap on the Soundbar icon within the app, select settings, and select add accessory. The app searched and quickly discovered the bass module and connected it to the Soundbar. Wow! That’s it, it couldn’t be more simple. I immediately wanted to hear the difference so I started with music. The Bose Music app is particularly nice. I have it setup with my Amazon music account and the integration of Amazon music in the app is exceptional. You can easily browse stations and artists. I selected a few favorites from a few different music genres and I could quickly sense the difference with the Bass Module. As expected music now had a punch. When I cranked the volume this thing seriously thumps. Switching the source to a movie I quickly noted a far more atmospheric and cinematic sound quality particularly during action scenes. Love it. The Bass Module 700 is a fantastic addition to my Bose 700 Soundbar and very effectively makes a great product even better. Bass was deep and adds a new dimension to any source. Great looking and great sounding subwoofer from Bose. I would expect nothing less.

Junk! Do not waste your money on this product, unless you like constant crackling noises. Bose claims you have to use a wire to connect the subwoofer to the soundbar to get rid of the noise. No clue why they waste time making it wireless when they tell you to use a wire. Bose has really gone downhill.

Works great until it stops. There is a known issue that it stops working after a year and a half due to a resistor malfunction on the circuit board. Research before you buy this product. I regret spending $700 on the Bose 700 bass sub woofer.

The Bose Subwoofer does not add much to the sound quality of a Bose 700 Sound bar. It does not add that much t movies with dialog and does some enhancement for action movies. Not worth adding at the current price.

The soundbar and bass unit "un-paired" from the remote and wouldn't control it. Followed the recommended way of resetting but that didn't work. The unit doesn't have any physical controls on the sound bar so I was unable to do a factory reset since I didn't have a working remote. I really wanted to like this and was very disappointed by the lack of controls, the sub-par app performance. Returned this and bought a more expensive unit from a different manufacturer.

The Bose base is nice I think, but with no internet service I can't set it up. So it's just sitting there looking pretty. It seems as though with all the technology, Bose could have designed a wired set up option with a volume control knob. You have to go on an APP to adjust the volume! I'm sure once I get internet service I'll be able to get it set up. For now, it's just collection dust.

      Hi Bob,

Thanks for incorporating the Bass Module 700 into your home theater setup! Sorry to hear you've had some issues setting it up. The module uses a wireless connection, but doesn't actually use your internet to communicate with the soundbar so your internet speed has no impact on performance. What could be happening, however, is that there could be interference caused by frequencies from your router that could be causing dropouts.

Try moving the bass module or router to a different place in the room to see if that helps. Still having problems? Try making a wired connection to the bar rather than a wireless one.
