Weakworst investment sounds like my trunk of the car

Can’t get it to work with app. Frustrating! If I can’t get it to sync with the soundbar I’m going to return both items

Bose is a pain in the a.. The universal remote won’t pair or control my Sony tv I absolutely hate it should have stayed with samsung

Definitely I have way more expectations, the sound bar its good but the bass module 700 is definitely not the best!

GARBAGE APP. IT WOULD NOT WORK WITH THE REQUIRED APP.

It was broke in 2 weeks. Called Best Buy geeks squad 5 times and they said they will call back but haven’t.

It as impressed as I thought I would be. Doesn’t sound much different then a Samsung

Although it is a good quality, the base volume is low compared to the test unit in the store. I tired different solution including reset and it improved.

Paid $1500 (after taxes for this and the soundbar) only to get home and not have a power cord for it. Ridiculous

After years of wanting a Bose home theater system, I purchased this 700 in November 2018 with the soundbar. Once open, I found you need the Bose app to setup the speakers, and you will need an update right out of the box. On initial app install, I was able to set the speakers to play sound. Ran a few sound tests with regular TV, movies, and video games. At first the sound wasn't as i expected. So I tried to go back to the Bose app for adjustments, but it was unable to find my speaker within the app. I had to unplug the soundbar and plug it back in several times in order for it to be discoverable. It was frustrating having to do this, but patience pays off. Ok, so I finally adjusted everything to my liking and WOW, the sound is awesome. The bass is deep and it shakes my walls. I used the ADAPTIQ, which took a little longer than expected because it picks up every little sound and that interrupts the process. A little tip for the ADAPTIQ, place the subwoofer in front of the TV so nothing is in front of it. Once you are running through the process, it will ask you to sit in the spots where people will be sitting. Instead of sitting/standing in the spot, i/e the couch or chair you will sit on, stand past it. This will make the sound louder since it has to travel farther. Once you are done, place the sub woofer where you want it. One more thing, I was one of those customers that passed on the surround speakers, but I bought those in December 2018, and they are a must have to complete the system. It sounds great.

I am a huge bose fan, but this Bass Module is not good. I have had to swap it out 2x in one year. I constantly have connection issues while using the cable to connect it to my soundbar if I could swap it out, I would go for the Sonos

This bass module is really only useful if you have the Bose soundbar to match it. I have the 700 series and used the Bose Music app to pair the subwoofer to the soundbar. For this size of subwoofer you should be able to hear some serious thumping bass when watching action movies or listening to music through Alexa. It definitely delivers in that department, but only if you’re listening to a high quality source. However, listening to your source material at the best quality can be difficult due to the soundbar itself. For example, if the source has to go through your TV (through HDMI ARC or optical) then you may end up with the TV jacking with the sound. This was my experience when using it with an Apple TV and Dolby Atmos content. The newest Apple TV does not have optical output, only HDMI. Without an input port on the soundbar you have to connect the ATV to the TV's HDMI input. I believe this was the cause for some of the dialog of movies being output through the sub which made for a very muddy bass track. It's like the subs crossover was set way too high and I couldn’t find anyway to adjust the crossover in the app. My only option was to watch the film through a different source. The app allows you to adjust the bass level from 0 to 100. I found that turning it past 50 resulted in heavy distortion. Even at Level 10 I could detect some distortion so I would recommend leaving the bass level at the default of 0. Pros: Compact Looks good; sleek glass top Puts out plenty of bass Cons: Must purchase separately Potential limited by soundbar issues No crossover controls Can only control bass level through app Bass is distorted when increasing level Overall, I'd only recommend if you own and are content with the Bose Soundbar 700. Even with the cons listed above as the soundbar without the subwoofer just doesn’t sound as good.

Too many interference with WiFi. Will not buy again

The base sound it awesome. Nice pillowy thump sound = True base. I love it. I wish I could have this kind of sound in m cars. Very easy to install just carefully read the instructions. you will not be disappointed. Great music and movie base quality sound. Did I say I love it????

I expected more from the Bose system can hardly tell there’s bass Connected to the sound bar

The Bose 700 Subwoofer is a very nice looking addition to your TV area. Bose dressed it in all black and a glass top and with only 1 wire coming out of the back for power (Bluetooth connects) can be placed anywhere you like in your TV room. The mating of this to the 700 Sound bar I also have was almost instantaneous. All done and controlled through the Bose app. The app will let you adjust base settings to your liking. As far as sound…. WOW what else can I say? Its Bose the name alone is quality. While movie viewing when the base hits it doesn’t just hit it POUNDS. I felt like I was in a theater when it was rumbling. It physically shook my living room. I felt the floor shaking and vibrating from 15 feet away. This is the most Bass of any Sub woofer or surround system I have owned. Bose uses an Adaptiq Audio Calibration system to setup the sound quality for your space. You put on a head gear piece and plug the end into the speaker and from the app run the setup and it will have you move around to 6 different viewing/listening spaces. It then runs through a series of sounds and adjusts accordingly to the bounce back of the tone, so you can get the best experience possible. I am extremely pleased at this addition and would recommend this to any Audiofile!!

I am using this Bass Module with the Bose 700 sound bar and together they provide me with the best sound experience I have ever had at home. The sound of the sound bar is great but when the Bass Module is paired to it you can literally "feel" the bass. It makes watching TV shows and movies that much more enjoyable. The setup was super easy. You plug it in and then use the Boss Music app to find your device and wirelessly connect it to the Boss 700 sound bar. Using the Boss Music app you can turn the bass module on or off and you can also play with the bass and treble levels. The build quality is fantastic. It not only looks sleek but is a nice size that would go great with any entertainment center. Overall this is a great product and I would definitely recommend this with the Boss 700 sound bar. I always use to have just a sound bar which was great but when I started using this bass module with it the experience my family and I would have went through the roof. A must have if you watch a lot of TV/movies.
