The front and back speaker are not protected with this cover. The soundlink 2 with the integrated cover (came with units at no xtra cost) provides much better protection for the front. This leaves the metal grill wide open to dings and/or scratches. They should have kept the included integrated style. Look around for aftermarket offerings.

Posted .Thank you for the review. While the SoundLink Bluetooth III speaker may be connected to your TV via the AUX Input that is not its primary use. For great sound with your TV along with a remote please consider the SOLO 15 which we believe will be a better fit.

It does nothing to protect the speaker. Only covers the outside of the speaker. You would think for the price it would cover the whole thing. And protect it all. Nope!!! Waste of money.
