I needed a new headset/mic setup for work. I did a lot of research before making this purchase. I already have Beats so sound quality and noise cancellation weren't the deciding factor for me. However, the noise cancellation on the mic is what sold me. The controls on the headset can be a bit problematic like others noted, but I actually like it and it would not be a deal breaker for me. Sound quality is excellent, but not that it is documented that this headset does struggle with its treble ranges. However, for everyday business use, that was also unimportant to me. I also like the fact that it connects to multiple devices so I can listen to music quickly without disconnecting from one device and reconnecting to another. But be warned, if you use the headset for calls (Zoom, Webex, Skype, etc.), that you will want to only be connected to a single device. Otherwise, your mic may jump between devices in the middle of your calls so the other people will have a hard time hearing you. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and caught them on sale so that was a bonus. Quality is good, but the mic and the mic's noise cancellation is the best I've used.

Aside from a couple issues with default PC connection settings these headphones offer an intuitive user experience and excellent sound quality. Gamers will need a separate cable with inline mic ($5 on eBay) to use for gamechat.

Picked these up for a long international trip I was going to take. Absolutely great craftsmanship and sound quality, but what else would you expect from Bose. They were fantastic for the long plane trips!

I use these for the tv. My Wife and her Daughter and Sister are sitting 6 feet away from me, talking, and I can see their mouth moving but I hear not one word. They are a little pricey but worth it.

It is a very nice headphone especially once you have figured how it connects and works. Although simple operational steps but not conventional so do your research before you start using.

These are good quality overall. The sound quality declines when you turn the volume up. They are great headphones for the gym or other activities, even though they are not advertised for such. I had to exchange them twice using the Geek Squad protection. Both times because one of the ear cuffs would start rattling whenever I moved. The first time was after the first year, the second time was within the first six months. Could be due to me using them at the gym. I would recommend getting the protection because they gave me a store credit including the protection, no questions asked, in which I bought the Airpods Max instead after the second time.

Nobody can't beat Bose. They can imitate but not surpass the quality of this product. I love using this especially when I'm traveling. Great Buy. Would definitely recommend it.

I recently purchased the 700 headphones. I have purchased other Bose products in the past, and felt they were high quality and gotten great support from Bose when needed. I decided in part to buy the 700NC based on glowing professional reviews, and promises in the reviews, confirmed by information right on the Bose product website that an equalizer and white noise updates would be "coming soon" posted right after launch in June of 2019. My mistake in researching these headphones was not going to the product forums at Bose.com, which show problem after problem with the Bose Music APP, inability to connect the headphones, Bluetooth connectivity issues, static noise problems, and more, with the only solutions being reset the headphones, reinstall the firmware update, none of which seem to resolve issues. The last firmware update was over four months ago and many suggest that it degraded sound and caused many functional problems. There is no time frame for the next firmware update either. The Equalizer and white noise features are very important features to me. Promises to provide these features were posted 9 months ago. I agree with others who say that the Bass is weak. I have an iPhone and there are no equalizers available for the music apps I stream with. Given the weak Bass there is a strong need to be allowed to tweak output with an equalizer and even more so with tendency for Bluetooth by its unavoidable nature to reduce quality of sound compared to wired. To me if the sound is unacceptable why buy it. On the positive side when the headphones work there are many great features, and the promised future features would probably make me very happy overall with the product, assuming however that I will get support for the product in the future if things go wrong. However, I am deciding whether to return the phones due to the lack of regard of Bose for its customers illustrated by no feedback from them on this topic of when/if these firmware updates will occur, and no workable solutions offered for the many complaints of customers registered on the forum. It bothers me that a lot of folks plunked down their $400 with certain expectations, and the return time frame is over and promised features 9+ months later are not available or their status even being discussed by Bose management, and problems brought on by firmware upgrades with bugs and app issues are not being solved over months. All of this gives me pause about whether Bose will be around or committed to its customers long term, and whether investing $400 in this product is even wise at this time. I called my local Bose store where the sales folks have always been very helpful with my other Bose products. The person said that even they as Bose employees are not told anything about when these updates are coming, and have no way to find out. They said there have been across the board delays of 5 months of many product updates with no explanation. Hmmm. He empathized with my frustration regarding these promised updates not materializing but could not help me. He owned the headphones too and was looking forward to these feature updates. So I strongly suggest that before buying this product check out the Bose.com support forums under "Support" and factor what you find there into making your decision.

Nice base but battery nothing compared to Sony 1000XM4. Not dual bluetooth so if watching a movie it could pick up cell calls. Better sound cancelling than Sony
