    Purchased these for my father. I saw how much he was glued to the monitor for hours on end using a wired headphone from ages ago. He needed an upgrade. its been months now since he received these in the mail. I gotta say, every time we facetime he's got it on. and the mic quality is amazing when we're on the phone.

    This model of headphones is notorious for developing "crackling noise" in the left earphone at some point after purchasing them. They may work fine for several hours, several days, or even several weeks after purchase, but once the failure starts, most users seem to be unable to resolve it, and Bose customer service has been terrible. Here's a link to the issue on Bose's customer service web site. https://community.bose.com/t5/Around-On-Ear-Headphones/Crackling-Sounds-in-Noise-Cancelling-700-Headphones/td-p/218483 Beyond that, the software (which runs on a smartphone) is unreliable, often not detecting the device when it's connected. The sound quality is quite good up until the failure develops. I returned my first pair because of the failure, and so far the second pair hasn't failed. However, given how rampant the issue is, I don't trust that the problem won't develop. Hence I'll either get the 2 year extended warranty to guard against failures, or I'll just return them.

    It is quite expensive and you can get other similar ones for a lower price like the sony ones but this stands out in the crowd with its design. Quality (audio and ANC)wise i found both sony and bose to be equal
