Not even worth $100
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although I've been a customer of best buy for a long long time, this is my first review. I usually don't bother with this but I feel like this is a public service. This is one of the worst headphones ever. I had this music quality back when I had bought an ear Dre headphones from ebay that turned out to be fake headphones. And this is one $400? are you kidding me? I bought the Sony XM4 but it would do this weird whooshing noise inside the right cup after a while of playing music. Tried different settings, nothing worked. Returned it and I thought I'd treat myself and pay the extra bucks for better sound. Omg what a mistake. There is no bass, like none. It feels like I am hearing someone kick a cardboard box. Everything else is washed out in terms of tone depth. Only thing clear is the voice but when everything else is washed out, thats all you hear. It would also on its own raise or lower the volume just on the voice of the singer. You can feel its thinking how to process the sound and fails. You have to give the bose app your location access. WHY? I mean you have to ... otherwise you can not use it. The design also sucks. Those ear cups feels weird to pull down or up. I feel like I am going to break or it is going to break loose inside and loose its tension. It is not a comfortable feeling at all. All in all I tolerated this headset for a total of 3 hours. I returned it the same day and got another XM4. This time I dont have the issue I had on the first one and OMG this beautiful lively clear sound with deep bass.

Posted .Hi there,
I'm sorry to hear that you have had some issues with the Bluetooth connection on these headphones.
I would have recommended clearing the pairing list on the headphones by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds. This would have helped with the Bluetooth connection.
Thanks!

Excellent Sound and Hardware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.SOUND AND NOISE CANCELLATION No surprise here: These headphones easily maintain the Bose reputation. They might be arguably the best, but they are inarguably extraordinary. These say they have active EQ, and I suspect that is true. Fidelity is maintained at low and high volumes, and the balance seems to change as volume increases and decreases. Bass is always present without drowning the higher notes. There was no audio lag or sync issues when watching video. Noise cancellation is very good. Even at the highest setting, you'll still hear non-droning, non-repetitive sounds but barely. I actually prefer that. No excuse is acceptable when you ignore your significant other! A button on the headphones can toggle through your three favorite settings. By default, these are 10, 5, and 0, but you can set your own in the smartphone app. THE BOSE MUSIC APP AND BLUETOOTH PAIRING The Bose Music app offers settings for the headphones along with a simple music player. There are no fine tone or equalizer controls in there, but you can manage Bluetooth sources and access all ten levels of noise cancellation. Initial setup went smoothly, and my iPhone and MacBook Pro easily made connections with little or no effort. However, the app has some problems in this area. On my phone, I can regularly open the app and have it clearly indicate that the headphones are not available. However, while I'm looking at this screen, music is playing from that iPhone through those headphones. Oops. The app makes me needlessly pair again to access the settings. Thankfully, the Bose Music app is hardly ever needed, so this will rarely present a problem when enjoying these headphones and your tunes. HARDWARE AND ACCESSORIES Build quality is excellent. Uncommonly lightweight but confidently sturdy. These to not collapse for travel, and the carry case is a little on the large size, and just heavy enough to notice when you add it to your travel pack. The case has a small compartment for your audio and charging cables. It's not large enough for a charger which is not included with these headphones. The USB-C charging cable is terrific. No more challenges with charging port orientation using a magnifying glass. Line it up, plug it in. Done! Every cable should be this cable. I also used a quality third-party USB-C cable, and it worked like a charm. There's also a 3.5mm cable for when you need a wired connection to a device. One last very minor feature. Inside the ear cups are a large L and R. It's a little thing, but it makes orienting the headphones brain-dead simple. MUSIC CONTROL Here's where the headphones shine. They offer music controls with finger swipes on the right side cup. Swipe up and down for volume. Double tap to pause, and again to resume. Swipe back to restart the song, do I twice to go to previous tune. Swipe forward to get to the next tune. Tap and hold to get the battery level announcement. The convenience of this feature cannot be overstated. It's thoughtful and adds to the joy of these headphones. PHONE CALL PERFORMANCE Conducting a phone call with these headphone offer a good experience. In a quiet setting, the experience was fine. Clear on both ends. In a crowded talk-filled room, the experience was tolerable. Background sounds competed for the headphone wearer's voice, but not any worse than if the headphones were not used. It's acceptable, which is better than most I have used. LONG-TERM COMFORT Comfort remains excellent when wearing for extended periods. I wore these for over two hours without a single adjustment. I have always experienced the pressure on the crown of my head after about an hour with other good headphones (15 minutes with average ones). These headphones provide truly incredible comfort. RECOMMENDATION It's easy to recommend the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700. The sound and quality are top-notch and worth the investment.

Best noise canceling headphones I’ve had to date
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really good noise canceling headphones With a lot of potential and a little room for growth with Alexa. So I love these headphones the noise canceling feature is probably my favorite feature out of everything. I I was amazed at the 10 different levels that you could cancel the noise out 10 obviously being my favorite it completely makes everything around you seem nonexistent and far away in terms of sound and what you can hear. There weren’t many disappointments with his headphones thoughThe batteries last a really long time and the amount of music apps that you can connect to this seem to be in less which is amazing because I listen to several different apps. But I will talk about the one hiccup that I did have repeatedly and that was with Amazon’s Alexa. Because I use Amazon a lot Alexa was the first app that I connected and I kept the connected for about a week him what I did learn quickly though is every time I turn on my headphones I would have to re-connect my headphones to Alexa and The batteries last a really long time and the amount of music apps that you can connect to this seem to be endless which is amazing because I listened to several different apps. But I will talk about the one hiccup that I did have repeatedly and that was with Amazon Alexa. Because I use Amazon a lot Alexa was the first app that I connected and I kept it connected for about a week what I did learn quickly though is every time I turn on my headphones I would have to reconnect my headphones to Alexa And I’m not sure if that’s just at Bose issue but I’m leaning more toward an Amazon Alexa issue because I had a difficult time connecting other things with Amazon’s Alexa as well one of which were my lights but that’s a different review. I think in general Amazon’s Alexa has some of them not the best programming which makes it difficult to have it interact with other apps and products. So what I’ve been consistently using since that first week of trying Alexa was my Apple iPhone and Siri and it connects it every time all the time without an issue and I love that and I can also answer my calls and they come through clear there’s no static or anything like that they also allow me to use iTunes and Amazon music so it’s really not an issue and I have noticed that I can still speak to Alexa through the Alexa app without having Alexa connected to the headphones specifically so that kind of works out as well. I’ll also say that the Bose app Is different and I appreciate the functionality of it but I don’t really use it that often you know once I set up my headphones I haven’t really use it since I know they have a music function but for me it’s disabled so I’ve not been able to really tap into that. The headphones were really nice they are very very lightweight and I love that the functions on the side of the Headphones are very easy to lose such as the volume up volume down the play pause and skip and go back and that’s something that I’ve never had the headphone and is actually more convenient than I realize because I hate having to wake up my phone to skip a turnup and specially if I don’t have my phone on my person but I’m doing things around the house or around my office it’s good to just be able to double tap for pause or skip by swiping left right and continue on doing what I’m doing without having to go back and retrieve my phone something simple like that I didn’t think would be that big of a deal but has been like very noticeable in the end and it’s something that I appreciate a great deal. Leslie I know it’s kind of weird to mention but sometimes hard plastic feels literally like hard plastic I’m not sure what material these headphones are made out of but they solved and they’re very smooth and that the cop on the air phone doesn’t seem like it’s something that’s going to pill within a few months which did happen with another pair of expensive headphones that I won’t mention by name but I am they’ve become virtually unusual because the years have pills and have them all but come off the headphone which is kind of a bummer because those headphones they cost a lot of money I like that the quality of this headphone is here and I also like the simple things that they aren’t like the big L of the big are inside the cup with the headphone because even with that I still have put my headphones on wrong and I’ve tried to swipe the wrong here without realizing they were on wrong. They fit really snuggly and they are super easy to adjust they aren’t your typical headphone I was a little worried at first because it looks like it would come out of the socket the way it’s me but it’s very sturdy and all you have to do is pull up or down on the bottom of the headphone cup and you can adjust your headphones that way you can charge it overnight and I ended up with at sea about I wanna say 20 hours of battery and that 20 hours of battery has virtually lasted me about 3+ days with everything that I do so I love love love these headphones these are the biggest game changers I’ve come in contact with in a very long time and it’s also great because I was definitely looking to replace that other expensive big namebrand headphone because it has Albert fallen apart. Also Leslie that wireless so I love that I love the Bluetooth connectivity And the range is amazing! These headphones are great with that one little hiccup with the Amazon Alexa app that shouldn’t be anything to the charity one it certainly hasn’t deterred me.

Don't buy a new one.
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After six months of use, the Bluetooth started to get unstable. Since then, I have had to reset the phone roughly every 40 minutes to make it work. Yes, I have downloaded and installed all updates. No changes in the previous behavior, though. On top of that, both earcups showed small tears in different places. I would never expect these flaws in a US$ 400 headphone. However, it could get even worst. Thanks to the Bose, it did get way worst. THEY OFFERED ME A REFURBISHED REPLACEMENT when I reached them to claim the warranty. YES, REFURBISHED. Seriously? I did not buy a refurbished product! So, why will I get a refurbished one as a replacement? I should get a new one. The warranty policy is outrageous. Bose can choose to replace you with a refurbished product, a new one, or refund you. Of course, they chose the first option. 1st lesson: Don't buy Bose products. The company does not care about you. 2nd lesson: The 700NC does not last. The earcups are incredibly fragile. 3rd lesson: If you still want to buy a Bose product, buy a refurbished one. If the product shows problems at some point, you will be replaced by a refurbished one anyway. At least you will not lose your money as I did. If I had bought a refurbished headphone, I would have saved roughly US$ 130.

Feature laden headset with impressive features!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 is an impressive, feature-laden set of headphones that can also make a call and provide audio AR capabilities. In addition to this written review you can watch my unboxing video and the video review of these headphones: Unboxing Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qp773bkXAOE&t=133s Video Review: https://youtu.be/sRV6jyfmaWs This review will be done in 3 parts – features, usage impressions, and pros/cons: Features: The features of these headphones are excellent. This wireless headset provides for up to 20 hours of wireless listening. The headset has a 20-inch USB to C cable included for charging and a 42-inch 2.5 mm (headphone side) to 3.5mm (device side) audio cable for use with non-wireless devices or when the wireless battery is depleted. The wireless has a range of 10m and has an array of eight microphones – six used for noise canceling, two of which combine with the remaining two microphones for voice pickup performance. Since these headphones are designed for long usage periods – such as long-haul flights – the lightweight materials as well as the headset adjustment features combine to ensure the best fit and comfort. This headset is especially nice from my perspective as I abhor earbuds and prefer either an on-ear or as in this headset the over-the-ear headsets. The over the ear design of this headset allows for the impressive noise cancellation features and also allows one to concentrate on the task at hand be it a teleconference, a movie, or other audio need. The headphones have a series of touch-controlled features for standard audio control on the right earcup – sliding up and down controls volume and forward and back move between the tracks. The right earcup also has call controls for answering calls and declining calls. These are easy and intuitive after a few tries. Unfortunately, the Bose AR Features are currently only available for iPhone and iPad devices with the Android programs still in development this feature was unable to be reviewed for this review. According to the product website “Bose AR-enabled products have motion sensors embedded inside that can detect your head orientation and body movement while you wear them. Bose AR-enhanced apps can then use this information along with location data from your mobile device to offer you audio content tailored to where you are and what you’re doing.” The headphones are compatible with your device’s voice assistant via the Bose Music app. Usage Impressions: The headset is a wonderful addition to one’s setup and will allow you to get the best sounds from one’s system when using a headset. I tested the headset using multiple tracks that were recommended for testing audio systems. These tracks test audio systems across the sound spectrum form deep base to soaring highs. The tracks allow testing spatial separation of sounds and the dynamic ranges of the piece being played. From all of these tracks, the sounds were excellent. I also tested with a number of other tracks that I have listed too including the 1812 Overture with real cannons and Space shuttle ascent imagery – these also sounded excellent. The comfort and noise-canceling features of this headset are nice and really make these useful for situations where noise-canceling is important. Just testing this in my home makes me want to experience these while flying. For calls, this headset works great and had no issues with hearing the other person or then hearing you. Pros: Audio quality, Batty life, portability, performance Cons: mainly price but this is minor for all the features you get, lack of audio AR apps for Android.
