Firmware update rendered them useless
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do your research! Just like thousands of others, my headphones that are only 2 1/2 months old, were ruined by a firmware update. I am still waiting for BOSE to call me back after submitting a support ticket. Symptoms: Battery life began to decline. Max charge told me I only had 16 hours, when before the update it was 20. Then, out of the blue, they just turned off. When I plugged them in to charge, I received a red/white blinking led. Now they won't charge, and if you turn them on, they immediately turn off. In addition to that, They were marketed to have Bose VR support. Just after I bought them, BOSE suspended that program. The VR was nothing special. I recommend you look for a different brand with better customer support and product reliability.

Posted .Hello,
I am very sorry to hear that you have been experiencing these issues with your headphones.
A small percentage of users are experiencing unexpected behaviour with their headphones, because of this we have paused the ability to update to firmware 1.4.12. This is so we can investigate this further and get a better understanding as to why these problems are occurring. With this being said, we do still want you to be able to enjoy your headphones. Do not hesitate to reach out to your local Bose product support team to explore the available service options to you, an agent will happily get this resolved for you.

Terrible
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cody the tech specialist was outstanding. Recently I had 12 conversations and the people said that they would call me back. Only 3 did call me back. No shows without calling me. Horrible computer work. Recently I had an imac in for a download and repair. When I got home I could not reach any website. I had a laptop in to have a download and checkup. When I got home I could not send or receive emails. I have waited an hour and half for a representative when they picked up and hung up.

Keep your hard earned money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These cans are not worth the price tag or any other price tag. The sound quality is at best average and the problems with the firmware upgrade has not been addressed. The firmware update reduced my battery to 5 hours. To have them replaced is a 3 week turnaround. The kicker is you'll have them replaced with the same model manufactured last year. Customer service is horrid. not the people but Bose's policies. This is my 4th pair. I asked will someone please tell me the truth about the issue. The rep informed me the engineers are collecting the returned headsets and investigating why it keeps happening. my receipt says I've had them for 7 weeks. however, I have a pair in hand no more than 4 days due to the repair policy of Bose. DON'T DO IT. I wish i had believed the reviews. The 1 star reviews are really true.

The best ANC, best Mic for convos, smooth audio.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Give you a quick look at what your getting which will help you make a decision if thats what youre here for. I have these thought I'd help on the matter. First the noise cancelling on these are second to none no matter what the benefited fanatical reviewers have to say. Test it for yourself if you have opportunity to do so. ( Caddy on youtube has a very good honest comparison of these and the 1000xm4s products, there are other honest comparisons as well but there is nothing like your own two sense) Doesnt have speak to talk but holding one button does that (noise cancelling button left earcup). Again I've had the sony 1000xm3 over the ear and tried the xm4 in the store. Its very good compared to others but truthfully, doesnt cancel out more sound than the Bose 700. These are also discrete, small profile and very comfortable. Same as the carrying case which is very sturdy. Second the sound on this Bose 700 is very good. The eq on the app also is very useful as well. Soundstage is great, instruments are very present and the bass is sensational without compromising the total sound. The Bass is definitely present folks. The Bose sound has its own sound profile to appreciate which is very rich in its sound profile. I have the momentum 3s as well whose sound profile I appreciate as well. Though the Bose 700 only has the aac codec which is a frown for an audiophile, sometimes, companies, products just get it right.(The overall total package.) Which is the case here, i forget about bluetooth codecs when using these for shure :). Third the mic. You won't have these dreaded words said to you, " I cant hear you, can you speak up", " Whats that in the background.", "You sound robotic." Unless your phones reception is compromised for example by a tunnel etc. You are heard as if the phone is to your ear which is something that is uncomfortable for us bluetooth folks by now in the game.(and those dreaded words) The mic game is exceptional on these headphones, second to none and it is an indisputable fact. Only minor con 19 hour battery life. However realistically speaking having more is convenient but Ive never used headphones that long, even when travelling across the country. 19 is enough for me and it might be because the power is being effectively allocated, lol who knows. Okay. I traded these in for the shure aonic 50 at another store due to the shures not being present at bestbuy , (my go to store for electronics) the shure's app (lack of universal eq, the eq only works on their music player, I have my own.) and lack of noise cancelling.(The noise cancelling is not worth the price or effort.) Finally the shure sound profile on the aonic 50 is flat an irredeemable, no matter what codec or player youre using on your phone. (Or eq setting you try, I've put them to the test believe me)

Great features, but questionable value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bose NC 700 headphones are a great product that matches the performance of Sony WH-1000XM2 headphones in sound quality and noise canceling. While the Sony has some important features like NC optimization on planes and a feature to decrease wind noise, the Bose headphones offer increased call microphone quality as well as a uniquely comfortable design. As an owner of Sony WH-1000XM2 headphones, I will be sure to compare throughout the review so you can make a good decision. Comfort and Build Quality: The NC 700 headphones are easily adjustable and feel great for long term use. With a cushioned headband and large earcups, the NC 700 headphones feel great to wear for long periods of time. I never felt the headphones causing pain on my ears after properly adjusting the headband. I have the black model, and I loved the nice feel of the metal. It made these headphones appear much higher-end than the QC35 or Sony headphones. The ear cups adjusted very smoothly, which was something I worried about with the new design. Additionally, the L and R printed inside the ear cups was a nice touch that helped me get oriented easily. Setup: These were a breeze to use! After initial issues resolved by a Bose update, I found the NC 700 headphones to be extremely easy to set up and control. I personally don’t like that an account is required to control the headphones, but other than that minor complaint I found the app to be very usable for these headphones and my other Bose products. Ease of Use: All features are easy to access with the app and/or buttons. After the initial setup, my headphones connected perfectly to my iPad and iPhone immediately when I turn the headphones on. The buttons make it easy to control digital assistants (e.g. Siri) or noise cancelling in one tap. I miss the quick transparency feature of the Sony headphones, but it is easily replicated with two taps on the left headphone buttons. The capacitative swipe pad on the right ear cup worked well for volume, media control, and battery information. Sound Quality: The NC 700 headphones provide good sound quality, but don’t quite match the vibrancy of the Sony headphones. The sound is very clear in all registers and the soundstage does not feel too closed. Note that these headphones use a smaller headphone jack cable and not 3.5mm! I personally have not used Bose AR due to the small number of experiences available, but may update this later. Noise Cancelling: These headphones provide effective noise cancellation and block out most low sounds and a good amount of high frequency sounds. When flying on a plane, I was able to use these headphones at half volume or less and still hear my movie perfectly. The cancelling does not have adaptive modes like the Sony headphones, which is a disadvantage when walking, but is not very important when on transportation. I felt minimal pressure on my ears when using these, but that may be due to prior experience using these headphones. Conclusion: These are great noise cancelling headphones, but the small improvements in comfort and noise cancellation may not be worth the extremely high price these headphones carry.

Bose not that good
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was expecting more bose for 400 dollars. I reviewed every kind of bluetooth speaker and bose was the best. The loop that keep the ear phones connect is to short all the way extend. It doesn't want to stay on my head real good and also don't count on the noise around you being around you being deleted because that doesn't work well at all. The only thing it has going for it is a very loud speaker.

Horrible Headphones and Best Buy Experience
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My headphones arrived on September 11, 2020. By the end of the month the (metal?) bars inside the headphones were protruding outward. The soft part of the headphones around the ears are puckering and have split on one side. As someone that has purchased other models of Bose noise cancellation headphones, I can unequivocally state these are poorly made and less than two months after purchase look as if they're going to fall apart soon. Save your money and buy something else! As an aside, BestBuy.Com was of absolutely NO assistance and I was instructed to contact the manufacturer.

Really bad headphones- Do not buy it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have purchased this headphone for WFH meetings. It has really good noise cancellation but other than that it is a waste of your money. The sound quality is not so great and it causes pain in my ears after using it for a couple of hours. After ~2 months, it stops working now and then(Sometimes you can not hear a voice, sometimes other people can not hear you).

Horrible buggy headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just got these last night and already they are goi g back. Extremely buggy app. Buggy headphones. I will be watching Netflix, then out of nowhere the video pauses and the headphones will say the number “10” like I just turned something up. Strange phantom speaking, what is that? Call quality was horrible. Music listening is extremely tinny and very narrow. I have a pair of v-moda m-100 masters that destroys these headphones in sound quality. Also there is a strange but of uneven amount of cabin pressure that builds up on the left cup. Something that I can only get to go away if I turn off Anc, which was the main reason for me to get these. All in all these are just not ready. Comfort, the band starts pushing into the top of my head after about 30mins. The App equalizer does nothing noticeable. I have to use the Spotify eq if I want any changes in sound and yet the Bose cannot really handle any deep bass. Do these are extremely disappointing a d will be getting returned.

Posted .Hey there,
The "10" that you are hearing is the level of noise cancellation. The buttons allow you to change the level, so you may have accidently set this off - https://bose.life/32MH5Ad.
We appreciate your feedback and will be sure to pass this along to our development team for future consideration.
