    Unreliable Connectivity

Anything nice I had to say about these is completely overshadowed by the dodgy Bluetooth connectivity. Unless you're going to pair these exclusively with a mobile phone, keep shopping. My intention was to use these with my MacBook, but they can't stay connected reliably and getting them to connect in the first place is an ordeal in itself. I'll be returning these as soon as possible.

    RETURNED THEM

Tried these in the store and thought they were amazing. I have owned 2-3 different Bose head phone products and currently had the quiet 35. when I got these home, some how the amazing disappeared. They were no better than my older pair of headphone. Plus, frankly, I liked the power button. It was easy to uses, as opposed to the flat button. Then there was the Alexa feature...seemed like it would be terrific..until you find out that it replaces Siri on your iphone. If the sound quality had been like in the store, I would have kept them. But $400 for the same, not worth it.

Bose fan, but disappointed with NCH700s

Bose ex-fan for 5 years. Owned QC 35II and it was the best headphones I’ve had. Decided to upgrade to NC700. After 3 product replacements, call quality in windy conditions remained horrible, ANC was just as good as the QC35II and the fit/comfort was way worse that it’s predecessor. After trying to like it for 6 months, finally returned it and downgraded back to QC35II. The QCs have a ‘low’ setting that gives superior call quality even in windy conditions, something that NC700 lacks. Really disappointed with Bose’s quality control that has gone downhill over the years.

These were absolutely amazing for the the first month that I owned them - since then they have been nothing but a hassle. After one month of use they started automatically disconnecting from the bluetooth device, followed by a loud shrill, powering off and then on again, and repeating indefinitely. Bose replaced this pair only to have the same thing happen shortly after receiving the replacement. I was told to try a hard reset, clear my device list, reset my bluetooth device, and so forth. these troubleshooting tricks work for a short period of time, but the headphones continue to have the same problem every time I use them. $400 and I have to preform a circus act every time I want to use them. The Bose Music app doesn't work 85% of the time to boot. I find myself using a free pair of airplane earbuds over these, because I know they will work when I need them to. Prior to purchasing the NC 700 headphones I was a huge Bose fan, but they have sorely disappointed me with this product. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Hi Jamm, I am sorry to hear you do not like your headphones. It's great to hear we were able to help with a replacement using our warranty, and it seems to have tried a vast range of troubleshooting. It is unusual to have issues with two pairs. Are you keeping the headphones up to date with the latest firmware and kept in the provided carry case? This should help prevent issues. Also, are you using the provided charger? You may have issues using another charger if the charger has a higher voltage, as this will damage the headphones. Reach out to us to explore this more and hopefully we can get this resolved once and for all.

Over all the headphones are good. Ive owned the QC 35’s as well & have owned that pair for over 3 years I definitely prefer those over the 700s when it comes to using them for a workout. If you’re an avid lifter buy the QC 35’s instead.

These headphones are AHHHMAZING!!! The sound quality is superb and my music and podcasts sound vibrant, crisp and crystal clear! The noise-canceling feature completely blocks out all outside noise which makes whatever I'm listening to sound that much better!

Good sound, call and decent noise-canceling. Unfortunately the padding on the top of the head is too thin and you can feel the sharp metal piece. Great discomfort right away. Last model was really comfortable and comparable to the Sony XM3. Will try out Jabra or Sony XM4 instead.

      Hello,

Glad to hear you were enjoying the ground breaking active noise cancellation and audio quality of your headphones.

Sorry you faced some issues with the fit, this is not what we would expect. These include a streamlined steel headband tuned to clamp securely but not uncomfortably and an underside of soft silicone-covered foam, you should not be left uncomfortable with this. If you would like further assistance, do not hesitate to reach out to your local Bose product support team.

      Kind regards,

    Buggy & Laggy Software

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

These headphones are average at best and for $400 you can get a much better pair even just sticking with Bose brand while also saving some money. These headphones ALWAYS have software issues, they interrupt music whenever they try to connect to something else, the external tap to pause feature only ever works when you DON'T want it to. Apparently phone calls sound a little better but again taking into account all of the flaws listed above- a slightly better phone call doesn't really cut it for on average $150 more than other headphones that are better quality. I would not recommend this product which is unfortunate because Bose usually has some great stuff.

Open box condition Excellent. USB Bluetooth dongle missing. User instruction non existent. Headphones occasionally play static and no sound but not positive the fault lies with the Bose unit. Headphones exert substantial pressure on ears and temples resulting in headaches.

Bought and tried to set them up in the parking lot. Half an hour of waiting for Bose app to let me sign in I took them back in and got my money back. Glad I had this experience with Bose thought as it’s time to replace my helicopter’s 5 headsets. Time to check out the comp I think. As one of boses biggest cheerleaders in the past I’m highly disappointed at best.

    Major Disappointment

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I got these to replace my Bose QuietComfort Series I that I've had for about three years. I loved my old headphones but the bluetooth stopped working properly, so I decided it was time for an upgrade. I was very disappointed in these headphones. I found them to be uncomfortable. I used to be able to wear my QC35 for hours. These would start hurting the top of my head after about 30 minutes. I tried loosening them, but then they would slide and weren't secure. On top of that, I found the controls too sensitive. I would pause the music and move them to around my neck, only to realize I had accidentally tapped the start button again or something, because a few minutes later I would notice the music was still on. The on-off button is also very sensitive. If I put the headphones loose in my bag, the power button would get pressed just by other objects in my purse. I returned them, as they are not worth the money. I'm giving it two stars because the sound quality and noise cancellation are both still good.

Is there even noise cancellation ?

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I was really hoping to enjoying these as they are made by the legendary company Bose accompanied by their price . After owning for more than a month I online wish I could’ve have returned these when I had a chance. I wouldn't so much call these noise cancelation as I would slightly muffle exterior noises. You put them on and it muffles the exterior noises a bit, you turn them on (level 10) and it makes the exterior noises a bit more quite. You can still hear everything around you just fine. The only real way to block out any exterior noise is to just turn the volume up. Comfort is OK, not great, not bad. I haven't really been able to wear more than a few hours unfortunately. Sound quality, well it's Bose. It's crisp and clear but it doesn't wow me, it doesn't stand out and the music doesn't evoke a real visceral response like the Sony WH-1000xm3 or even my klipsch. Save yourself alot of money and if you want Bose buy the Bose QC35. You'll be met with the same sound quality, comfort and biggest reason for buying noise canceling headphones, noise cancelation.

    Very unimpressed

I had the Sony XM4 before these pair. I thought the XM4 lacked noise cancelation but these are about to be same. I can still hear people talking 20+ feet away. I thought these were supposed to be some of the best noise cancelling headphones. Maybe it’s just me but I’m unimpressed. There’s no equalizer or preset sound settings. You get what you get. Not much bass. Overall, I would not recommend these and I will be returning. I might try the quiet comfort 35 II or probably settle with the XM4. At least with the XM4, you can dial in the sound to how you like it. These headphones are comfortable. I really like the way they look. The Sony hard travel case is much better than Bose. I have other Bose home theater set-ups and with those, I’m impressed. I love my Bose sound bar. I would spend the money on Bose home theatre but I will be very skeptical to buy the headphones.

      Hi Dave!
Sorry to hear that you are planning to return your headphones. Hope this changes your mind about it.
Did you know that the Bose NC 700 Headphones offers 11 settings of sound control? It ranges from full noise cancelling (which helps isolate you from your surroundings) to full transparency (which helps let your surroundings in, as if you weren’t wearing headphones at all).
For music, it is engineered with proprietary active equalization, so it avoids boosted bass, vocals, and treble that create listener fatigue over time.

Horrible! One of the. One of the worst experience buying this product in and out of the store on union square. I teach online and need an equipment I can rely on, the voice sounded robotic and the volume moved from low to high constantly. I went to return the headphone and was met with a manager (who because I bought during Black Friday sale) refused to exchanged it unless I paid a certain amount matching the price in the store 1 week later. Poor equipment and poor customer care. Very disappointing and not an experience I wish to any customer from this brand.
