Waste of $, don't work at all.

These are terrible. The bluetooth wouldn't establish a reliable connection right out of the box, kept booping in and booping out on a cycle like every thirty seconds, so I couldn't listen to anything and couldn't even connect them to the app to see if I could download a firmware update or something to fix them. I can't believe they sell you $400 headphones and they literally don't work. I bought them at an airport so I can't practically return them without flying to a distant city, so I'm stuck making a warranty claim, which means I'll get refurbished ones back. So pay $400, don't work at all, stuck with used ones. Really, really lame. Bose has really fallen off.

    Honestly not great

As an owner of Bose headphones from about 2 decades ago, their old wired headsets kick the pants off these, sound-wise. The audio profile sounds like it's been muffled through a filter in the mid-ranges, and the lows/highs are not nearly as present as they should be. I have a pair of HyperX Cloud Alpha S headphones that are better than these, and are 1/3 the price. If you want Bluetooth and wired capability so you can game on anything or to listen to music anywhere, look into HyperX Cloud MIX headphones, they'll do everything you want and sound better than these.

    Broke after a month

I used to love Bose headphones. My old Bose headphones worked for 10 years. The new products are very poor quality. This is the second Bose headphones that broke just after a month of use. Very disappointed. I thought if you paid higher $ the product would last longer. This is not the case anymore. I am just going to get the cheapest Amazon headphones.

Bose Unimpressed at this Potential Fire Hazard

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

After 16 months of largely good service (audio was excellent, mic would drop occasionally) the charging port caught on fire (within phone, not cable). It's out of warranty and replacement offered by Bose was $300, so essentially fully price. No I didn't get the Geek Squad, will next time this isn't Best Buy's fault. But the Bose support experience was pretty crappy and for $440 (with tax) product, I expected to use these for 4-5 years or until the batter didn't hold much of a charge, very disappointed since this wasn't a cheap cable issue but a defect with the product.

    Another loss

Sadly bose is going in the wrong direction. These are way to tinney in the highs and there is no bass really. Sony has blown bose away by miles. I do not like sony as a brand really but bose lost there roots. There sound team needs to go back and listen to a bose surround sound and figure out how to get that sound in a headphone. This is not it and I'm very disappointed in bose now. I think they are gonna loose lifetime customers over these. Best buy is awesome and does hassle free returns thankfully.

Used them twice and now they won’t charge. Made an appointment, took them into Best Buy and was told to send them to Bose. No benefit to using Best Buy. Might as well buy straight from Bose if going to purchase these.

    Reboots every 40 seconds

Well, I did better than a lot of people giving a one-star rating. I work in data centers where it is very noisy and I depend on the noise-canceling feature which works great when the headphones work. I did better because my headphones worked great for one year, not months like some others. After my one-year warranty expired, the Bose started rebooting in the middle of conversations. I called support and after upgrades, resets and the whole nine yards, nothing worked. Support said since I was out of warranty they would have to replace them for $285.00. This product didn't last two years and now they're asking for another $285. I'm very disappointed and I will never buy Bose again.

      Hi Pkg14,

Thanks for purchasing and taking the time to review our Noise Cancelling Headphones 700. I am deeply sorry to hear that the headphones did not live up to your expectations, I would highly recommend that you use different devices on the headphones to ensure that the quality isn't because of the device. I would also recommend that you ensure that the headphones are running the latest software via the Bose Online Updater. If the issue still persists then please do reach out to us via the contact us page on our website so we can assist you further with this.

      Kind Regards,

Great Noise Cancelling Really Poor Quality

Bought at Best Buy 1 year ago. 1st pair wouldn't power up after 3 months, second pair had a high pitch buzz in one ear cup after about 5 months, third pair.... we will just have to wait and see. Now my sister's headphones died. Bose has a serious quality problem with these headphones.

Kind of Useless For Work Laptops

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

So these are advertised as great speakers for conference calls...the only problem is they do not work as a microphone when connected via an aux cord. $400 and they only work via Bluetooth??? Really? My first work laptop didn’t have Bluetooth so the headset was completely useless. My second work laptop now has Bluetooth, but I am struggling to connect. I am used to the ease of use of AirPods so I find these cumbersome to switch between devices. These are designed for cellphone use mainly, as the app interface is essentially a control station for the headphones. I cannot return via Best Buy so I am going to try to sell them and buy the Sony’s.

Hey! The NC700 headphones are certainly ready to be used for conference calls, through Bluetooth. To put the headphones into pairing mode hold the Bluetooth button for three seconds, then find the NC700 device on your laptop Bluetooth device list. If you're looking into dedicated Teams connection, the UC adapter may be of benefit https://bose.life/315G0lQ. If your difficulties persist, please reach out to Bose directly https://bose.life/38Q1vZs, and we will help resolve things. Thanks, Sam - Bose Customer Support bose

Not as good as the QC35II. They squeezed my head and gave me a headache. The ANC was just as good as the QC35 so the extra cost isn’t justified. Not a big fan of the touch functions.
