These headphones are probably the most comfortable ones I’ve worn. I’m upgrading from a pair of Beats Executive wired noise cancelling ones and the Bose are superior in my opinion. I like the finger slide functions on the right ear for easy control and the battery life has been great. And of course the sound - it’s Bose, what more is there to say?

These are the best headphones I've bought! The touch controls are great, and the ability to have 3 different noise cancelation settings is a huge plus. They are very comfortable to wear all day compared to others over the hear headphones. These are good headphones for traveling on the plane or public transit and around the office. Worth the money!

I hesitated to pay the price for these headphones because I wasn't convinced that they would be substantially better than the previous generation (QC35). They are. Although I didn't NEED to upgrade, I do not regret the purchase. These are more comfortable and have better noise canceling and better battery life than the QC35. I like them a lot.

    Excellent Noise Cancelling Headphones

Bought these headphones for studying. Noise cancellation is superb. Although you can still hear slight noise in background, it is extremely minimal. The ability to switch between the levels of noise cancellation is really convenient, as well as customizable. And the microphone is great. Even if I'm in a dining hall on campus or walking around, I've had no complaints on the way I sound through the microphone from headphones. The bose app I do not use, but it can help with connecting the headphones to another device. In my case, when I'm walking to class I'm listening to music on my phone. Once I sit down in the library to study, they automatically connect to my laptop and let me hear any lecture video or etc media. No going into bluetooth settings, connecting, toggle off etc needed. Only downside would be the price. But with the premium feel and noise cancelling quality, I feel it was worth it. All I was looking for was a great noise cancelling headphone which is why I bought these. I would still recommend Sony WH-1000XM3 over these due to the price being $280 and sounding almost identical, with the Bose being slightly better at noise cancelling. which is what I was looking for, noise cancellation quality.

Superb stereo separation, deep bass, and great microphones for business calls made these an overall pleasing purchase for me. I have owned the Sony 1000mx3’s and these are better for business calls. Very pleasing for music too with an overall musical signature (Bose’s house sound) which has great bass and a clear treble signature without becoming sibilant. There are other headphones with bigger booming bass, but for most music genres these work fantastic. Overall great product. There was only a few times when my iPhone couldn’t connect well. So please be careful about that if you are an iPhone user! It might have just been me but please make sure your connection works well. Product performance on all other aspects is excellent.

Everything about this headset screams quality. Materials are top notch. Soundstage has always been nice with Bose but now more bass without the boom i would say perfect and I like all music. Very comfortable but a little tighter than the models before. Noise canceling is great and you can control it level wise with a touch of a button.

    2 Year Long Term Review

I’ve had this headset for 2 years now as of July 25th. I’ve never had a headset last the two years, as I’m rough on headphones and work outside. Survived a full year working on an airport tarmac in South Carolina, very hot and sweaty. Then survived another year working outside in the North Carolina heat washing boats. I’m talking daily use, 6-8 hours a day for 2 whole years. Everything works perfectly still, the earcups are just now showing wear on the edges where they flex when I put the headset on. Battery life is still roughly 18 hours on a full charge, I’ve had no Bluetooth connectivity issues. Phone calls are crystal clear, I’m telling you; the minimalist aesthetic and few traditional buttons has left this product so unbelievably durable. They’ve been covered in every chemical you can think of. I’ve only recently retired them as I work in an office out of the heat, but I still bust them out regularly and get lost in whatever music I’m in the mood for. Trust me, they’re worth it.

They are extremely comfortable. They sounds great. The only issue is I have had enough connection issues with that them that if I have an important work Zoom I don’t use these. They just do weird things like unpair and repair on their own or just won’t pair. I still really like them. But that I don’t trust them for important phone calls or web conferencing.

I purchased these headphones to compare to the Beats Studio pro headphones I had already purchased; these headphones are amazing. The noise cancellation is awesome. I did 2 test to compare the noise cancellation: (1) I turned on music and popped balloons. I couldn’t hear the balloons popping. (2) I listened to our church livestream, while in the sanctuary; did not disappoint. The sound was very clear and the noise around me was mute. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because there was some connectivity issues in the beginning. The headphones would disconnect or people couldn’t hear me, but it lately the issue has went away.

I like the sound of the Bose, it's clear and loud. The bass is good enough I hear the sound with bass pretty good. It's comfortable to wear and you can change the volume just by sliding your fingers up and down on the right ear pad. Overall I like the clearness and the bass of the headphones. Very good.

They are amazing headphones. Not quite worth the 400 bucks tho... While lying down they slide off your head so you have to adjust them a certain way. They could also do SOOOOOO much more with the bass considering the headphones cost 400 bucks... Other than that, noise cancellation is amazing, they are super comfortable, the battery life is amazing, and the touch control is amazin

I am sharing my office with my child while they are in school. The problem is when I am on MS teams and trying to talk, everyone can hear my kids kindergarten class in the background. I bought the Bose to remove the ambient sound when I am on phone calls and it has done an excellent job. My whole team has stated that they dont hear anything although my child is right behind me in class. It was between this and the Sony WH-1000XM4. However, the ambient noise cancellation is unparalleled by the Bose compared to the Sony after listening to them both. They both have similar noise cancellation capabilities and the varying ambient noise allowed in through my Bose works just fine for me. Overall, incredibly pleased with these headphones. Additionally the material of construction is super soft and comfortable. Truly recommended for WFH.

    Bose and Rows!

Oh the sound, the sound, the sound! My ears are completely bound. Noise Cancellation earned my admiration. The front right atoll provides responsive control. They won’t fall off your face so don’t expect to be blown away by bass. The charge time is a lie and only Bose knows why. You won’t be sad even the pads feel rad. Motivate your rows with these Bose

Apple Fan goes with Bose over Apple

Bose is a great name, but Apple has developed an outstanding product in this category. I went with Bose for the following reasons: 1] Price. I got this pair open box and saved a lot in comparison to the Apple Product 2] Reputation. Bose has been a great name in this market for many years. 3] Did not want people to see I was wearing a $500 pair of headphones. The Bose product does not scream attention like the Apple product might. In the end, I am very happy with my purchase. What I have appreciated is how both my computer and phone sync with the headphones and there is no conflict between the two. I think I might even say Bose has beaten Apple with this compatibility issue. Some reviews say the Apple might have better overall sound. I don't think you will be disappointed in this product. Sound is still very good. Comfort is decent; you need to take a break from wearing them. Good for making calls also. The noise cancelling is also very good.

I have used this product for 6 weeks. The Pros 1. Excellent noise cancellation. 2. The touch controls for volume work well and are reliable. Touch sequences for pausing, starting, and forwarding to the next song or show on a playlist are reliable. 3. The fit and comfort in the sitting position is very good. The Somewhat Pros: 1. Excellent sound quality on phone calling and reception-most of the time. The headphones seem prone to sudden declines in sound quality with either phone call sending and/or reception. At least on one occasion, it occurred following declining a second incoming call. Fixing it, until the next time it happens, require what Bose calls a “hard reset”. This entails plugging a powered USB-C cable into the headphones while simultaneously pressing the power button. If you review the Bose community postings, you will see this is not quite so easy to accomplish reliably. 2. Excellent noise cancellation. 3. The touch controls for volume work well and are reliable. Touch sequences for pausing, starting, and forwarding to the next song or show on a playlist are reliable. The Cons: 1. Bose has this Augmented Reality feature that sounds like it would be acoustic nirvana! In order to use these features, the terms and conditions require consent to access data usage to “data analytics” that raises privacy concerns enough to discourage me from using it. Other people may feel differently. The Fatal Cons: 1. It has a movement-mediated Auto-Shutoff feature that shuts the headphones off after 10 minutes if it detects no movement. Consequently, if you use them to help fall asleep at night, you will have a hard time hearing any alarms you may have set, emergent phone calls in the middle of the night, or phone calls before you wake up in the morning. I strongly recommend you go to “The Bose Community” in the support section of the Bose site and search for “How can I disable the Auto Shut Off?” You will see two months of “I understand your concern-will get back to you later” customer support replies to 11 pages of posted requests for help. Bose’s response after two months was to plan to extend the time to 1 hour. They are not offering manual control of this feature. 2. The Bluetooth connection frequently drops when answering a call. It requires using the phone interface to re-establish the Bluetooth connection. Bose support suggests deleting and re-establishing the Bluetooth connections for each Bluetooth connection established. 3. The touch controls for taking and terminating a call are very finicky. I have so often terminated an incoming call I wanted to accept that I have reverted to using the iPhone interface to answer calls. Likewise, terminating a call is unreliable. So, again, I frequently must revert to the phone interface. 4. While they are initially comfortable and stable in fit in a sitting position, they loosen over a short period of time and fall backward off your head while reclining. They also fall forward while bending from a standing position. 5. Customer support is terrible. I called about a decline in sound quality. The person answering the phone was obviously from another country. Although earnest, his accent made his suggestions unintelligible. I heard him say “hard reset”. I was able to look this up in the app support section. If you want a Bose, you might consider the earlier QC 35 IIs. But the problems with customer service will remain. Unfortunately, I have passed the return window

Hi Saully, I'm so glad to hear that you enjoy the Noise Canceling of our NC700 headphones! I'm so glad to see you find the headphones stable and comfortable. I'm sorry to hear that there are some features of the headset that you are unhappy with. In regards to the Auto-off feature, we have decided to extend the time frame from 10 minutes to 1 hour which we hope will improve the experience for many of our customers whilst still preserving the battery-saving benefits. However, with regards to the Bluetooth connectivity and touch controls, this is not normal behavior and would encourage you to make sure your Firmware is up to date. You can do this through our website. If this has not improved your situation I would recommend reaching out to you local Technical Support team again. I apologize that you have had a bad experience previously but our agents will be more than happy to help. Thank you for taking the time to review our product. Kindest, Kerri - Bose Customer Support bose

I've been wanting to get a pair of Bose headphones again for years. I had an old wired pair probably 20 years ago that were absolutely amazing. Noise Cancellation: I've never been a huge fan of noise reduction and how it works - I personally find it to be disorienting. However, this doesn't give me vertigo because I can tone it down. If I set it to 50% or 60%, it still significantly reduces outside noise while not giving me vertigo. Sound Quality: I'm a broadway credited audio engineer that previously designed and installs sound systems on board cruise ships and theaters. I'm incredibly picky with what I buy. I don't just look for sound quality, I look for a balance of product build quality, sound quality, warranty. This headset is VERY comfortably, it's not fatiguing to listen through, and its battery feels like it lasts forever between charges. Other headsets by other companies focus on bass, or mid range, or high end to have their "unique sound", whereas Bose really went for the option of having a flat tonality to it with this headset. You can also somewhat configure the tonality using a 3-band parametric EQ, although it doesn't really tell you much about what it's doing so I'm not sure how helpful it is overall. I personally found "Flat" to be similar to Adam A7X reference monitors. The downside: You can't charge it and use it at the same time. Plugging the USB-C cable in shuts it down to charge.
