They sound great, but be warned - if you have them connected to multiple sources (Windows, Mac, Android; for example), you will hear static on at least one of the other sources while they're simultaneously connected unless you explicitly "disconnect." Also have had some trouble reconnecting to Mac (Catalina) after being disconnected. That is sporadic and seems to have resolved, though I'm not sure why. It wasn't a firmware update. Still seems like I need to turn these off and on explicitly when they "sleep," which might be a user error. Unsure

I have owned the older Bose and the Sony's latest NC headphones and these have the best noise canceling. Sony might still sound a little better. These seem to push the upper mids a little to much.

Improve neck fit on 30 to larger comfort. Use breathable water resistant materials for 35, 700, and use flexible metal for collar model. The sound is stellar on all. Corded models require longer cords and balance to stay on neck.

Husband uses these at work on a very loud and active floor. These headphones are very success in blocking out most noise allowing him to concentrate on his work. He is very pleased with them.

I have both these and the Sony noise cancelling headphones. I hoped these would be easier to connect to multiple devices: They're not. The pro's list will be short: none compared to Sony, Apple or Beats headphones. Now the cons: 1. They stutter when connected to a 2019 macbook pro via bluetooth. They're unusable on any of my computers without the cable 2. The cable is, annoyingly, not a regular 3.5mm like EVERY OTHER CABLE ON THE PLANET, Bose uses a smaller connection on the headphones themselves so you're stuck with their short little cable and if you lose it, well good luck using it with a laptop (see con 1) 3. The Bose Music app is terrible- far worse than simply managing bluetooth devices from the bluetooth settings. It's telling when a big company like Bose doesn't bother to make their app work in landscape mode on an ipad, yet insists that you use said app to do everything with the headphones, managing connections, changing the EQ, disconnecting them from other devices. 4. The touch controls are annoying and there's no way to turn them off other than put a sticker over the ear cup. I have never been able to rest the headphones around my neck without them activating and starting to play whatever I was listening to or skipping tracks & changing volume. 5. The buttons are annoyingly easy to activate. As with the touch controls, the buttons are far too easy to press, especially when the headphones are off your ears. I constantly get the voice assistant activated, change the noise cancelling and turn the headphones on/off inadvertently 6. They don't fold down as small as literally any other headphones, the Sony's included. 7. The noise cancellation is mediocre for an around-ear headset compared to the Sony headphones ore even Airpods Pro. 8. They're heavier and tighter than the Sony headphones. 9. The battery life is mediocre. Despite the advertised claims, the terrible touch interface and buttons make it far to easy to activate inadvertently and waste battery. I've found them playing inside the Bose case they came with, in my backpack several times now. Because of that, I've never managed 18 hours with them. 10. There seem to be volume issues with the cable connected to a laptop. Even when powered on and connected with a cable they only get about half as loud as my airpods.

Can't go wrong with this purchase

I needed a new headset/mic setup for work. I did a lot of research before making this purchase. I already have Beats so sound quality and noise cancellation weren't the deciding factor for me. However, the noise cancellation on the mic is what sold me. The controls on the headset can be a bit problematic like others noted, but I actually like it and it would not be a deal breaker for me. Sound quality is excellent, but not that it is documented that this headset does struggle with its treble ranges. However, for everyday business use, that was also unimportant to me. I also like the fact that it connects to multiple devices so I can listen to music quickly without disconnecting from one device and reconnecting to another. But be warned, if you use the headset for calls (Zoom, Webex, Skype, etc.), that you will want to only be connected to a single device. Otherwise, your mic may jump between devices in the middle of your calls so the other people will have a hard time hearing you. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and caught them on sale so that was a bonus. Quality is good, but the mic and the mic's noise cancellation is the best I've used.

Noise is picked up on calls louder than your voice. The features do not work correctly. Sometimes I can say answer when receiving a call and sometimes even tapping on the ear doesn't answer. The connection gets flaky at times. The best part is the truly noise canceling. If you need it for more than that, dont buy.

I purchased these headphones for subway travel in New York city. The sound and noise cancelling is excellent (though I like the sound signature of my IE80 better) but these headphones don't fold and hence I have to hand them on my neck when not in use. After 1 year of use, there is some battery degradation and on full charge these now last ~15 hours. Expensive headphones like this one should have self replaceable batteries but then again these companies rely on customers upgrading their devices every couple of years. These headphones also don't support the latest high bit rate codecs which the Sony's do (WX1000)

      Hello,

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with the battery in your Noise Cancelling Headphones 700. You should be achieving around 20 hours of life per charge, and this shouldn't degrade to 15 hours after a single year of use.On this occasion, I would recommend getting in touch with Bose support to discuss your options for service.

      Kind regards,

Jeff - Bose Customer Support bose
