Most of my experience with Bose is with music. I find their products to be balanced and rich. The Bose Lifestyle Ultra speaker continues that tradition. I have two of these in a stereo array and the presentation is very satisfying. First the pair appears very small compared to other options in the market yet when I pipe sound through them they sound so much larger. They have height channels pointing up as well as two drivers on the front. There is a fabric type cover on the front but it seems to be a good quality. The controls on the top are just right, not too much but easy to use even if you aren’t looking at them. I set them up in the Bose app on my phone and it’s connected by Bluetooth. The set up was smooth and it automatically checked for updates before releasing them. When you send music to them your phone’s controls are used. You also have a few sliders in the app that allows for and equalization as well as adjusting the height channels for your ceiling height. After some tweaking I find the sound to be full and the height channels do give you the Atmos effect. I have also used these in a sound system as rear channels. They standout as broad sound stage behind you. Bose has a calibration tool in the app that allows you to balance the sound this way, and it does work well. I really like these. They are versatile. And if you have other Bose products they can easily become a part of the family for whole home sound.

Setup: Having a smartphone is needed from what I can see, or at least a tablet. You will need to get this setup with an app to get the best experience, and I just don't like that. However, the app is super easy to understand, and most non tech savvy people can do it. Sound quality: Lots of highs and mids and lows, even some bass too. Clear audio from every angle, depending on where you position them. You will need to tune them to your ears, although they do sound GREAT with the default settings. I recommend you go into the app, and tune them with the settings. You will be much happier, trust me. Build quality: Strong, and sturdy. They look cool, and are small enough to go anywhere in your room or office. Price: These are worth it, hands down. You get so much if you add these to your complete Bose system, it's just the right thing to do. Overall: I highly recommend getting these if you when you buy the soundbar and subwoofer, do not leave these off. In the end, this new setup is so much nicer than previous models.

This Bose speaker is part of a system designed for your TV entertainment system, and kicks butt. The system sounds amazing. Perfect highs and mids with no distortions whatsoever. Setup was easy from a hardware perspective but setting up the app was initially problematic until Bose pushed out an update that enabled more customization for sound however the default found was just about perfect for me. To see this thing is loud is an understatement. I had the windows and the walls rattling in my living room and I could hear it coming from this living room to the front of the house. He gives the perfect theater experience in your own home From an appearance standpoint, the units look beautiful in the home. The biggest Stand out for a hardware standpoint Is the size of the subwoofer And having his face for your sound bar. If you have both of those handy, you’re all set. Like all hardware from Bose, you are gonna get a premier experience and you will not be disappointed. You cannot go wrong with this set up from Bose.
