Most of my experience with Bose is with music. I find their products to be balanced and rich. The Bose Lifestyle Ultra speaker continues that tradition. I have two of these in a stereo array and the presentation is very satisfying. First the pair appears very small compared to other options in the market yet when I pipe sound through them they sound so much larger. They have height channels pointing up as well as two drivers on the front. There is a fabric type cover on the front but it seems to be a good quality. The controls on the top are just right, not too much but easy to use even if you aren’t looking at them. I set them up in the Bose app on my phone and it’s connected by Bluetooth. The set up was smooth and it automatically checked for updates before releasing them. When you send music to them your phone’s controls are used. You also have a few sliders in the app that allows for and equalization as well as adjusting the height channels for your ceiling height. After some tweaking I find the sound to be full and the height channels do give you the Atmos effect. I have also used these in a sound system as rear channels. They standout as broad sound stage behind you. Bose has a calibration tool in the app that allows you to balance the sound this way, and it does work well. I really like these. They are versatile. And if you have other Bose products they can easily become a part of the family for whole home sound.

The BOSE Lifestyle TV Sound System Bundle delivers a premium home theater experience that feels both powerful and refined. From movies and television to music streaming, the system creates immersive sound while still being simple enough for everyday use. The sleek design, smart features, and customizable audio settings make it feel like a complete entertainment upgrade rather than just another speaker system. Ease of Setup Setup was much easier than expected for a surround sound system. The app walks you through the process step-by-step, including speaker connections, TV integration, Wi-Fi setup, and calibration. Everything felt organized and straightforward, even without prior experience setting up a home theater system. The guided setup removes a lot of the frustration that usually comes with surround sound installations. Sound Quality Sound quality is where the system truly stands out. Dialogue is crisp and easy to hear, even during louder scenes, while the surround sound creates a cinematic atmosphere throughout the room. The bass is deep without overpowering the rest of the audio, and music playback sounds rich and balanced. Whether watching movies, sports, or streaming music, the sound feels detailed, immersive, and consistently high-end. App Performance The Bose app is clean, responsive, and very user-friendly. Switching between devices, adjusting settings, and controlling music streaming can all be done quickly from a phone or tablet. The app makes everyday use much more convenient and keeps the entire system easy to manage without constantly needing the remote. TV Sound Feature TV audio sounds dramatically better compared to standard television speakers. Voices are clearer, background sounds are more noticeable, and action scenes feel fuller and more immersive. Even regular TV viewing sounds upgraded with better depth and clarity. Music Streaming Music streaming is seamless and reliable. Streaming through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi is quick to connect, and the audio quality remains excellent across different genres of music. Vocals sound clean, instruments are well balanced, and the system fills the room without distortion even at higher volumes. Alexa Integration Alexa integration adds a convenient hands-free experience. Voice commands work well for adjusting volume, controlling playback, and launching music. It’s a useful feature that blends naturally into everyday use without feeling overly complicated. Room Tuning Technology The room tuning feature makes a noticeable difference in overall sound performance. After calibration, the system automatically adjusts to the size and layout of the room, creating more balanced surround sound across different seating areas. The audio feels fuller and more natural instead of only sounding good in one spot. Equalizer Function The equalizer settings allow for a more personalized listening experience. Being able to adjust bass, treble, center channel, and surround levels makes it easy to fine-tune the sound depending on whether you’re watching movies, listening to music, or casually watching TV. The customization options help the system feel even more premium. Final Thoughts Overall, the BOSE Lifestyle TV Sound System Bundle combines outstanding sound quality, easy setup, smart streaming features, and customizable audio controls into a polished home entertainment system. It delivers a true theater-style experience while still being practical and user-friendly for everyday use.

I've had multiple soundbars in the past and actually ended up switching to a receiver home theater setup a year or so ago so I could have a little more control over the sound delivery. I've got several Bose products (headphones and Bluetooth speakers) so I was anxious to get my hands on the new Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar from Bose. For review purposes I'm going to cover the 4 components as a system since the subwoofer and speakers are reliant on the soundbar for connectivity giving you a good 5.1 system. I received the following - - Bose Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar - Bose Lifestyle Ultra Speakers (2) - Bose Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer Out of the box it was really easy to use but I do have a complaint. Bose is pushing everything to phone apps and my wife doesn't really feel comfortable using apps. For the most part the setup went well, using the phone app on my phone I was able to get 2 of the 3 sound zones dialed in for listening levels about the room but for some reason the last one I could never get locked in. That really doesn't impact the performance of the soundbar, only the fine tuning for that zone. I also received the optional subwoofer and 2 surround speakers (all wireless except you do need a wall outlet for power). Linking everything in the app was painless, it recognized each speaker and the sub. You don't even need to worry which surround speaker is left or right because that swap is easily done via the app. Connecting is easy with a HDMI cable to the HDMI-ARC in/out on the TV to the HDMI-ARC in/out on the soundbar. You can also link via Bluetooth from a smart phone and it supports Airplay from Apple devices. I only wish it had an optical connection option. The app allows control of overall volume and an equalizer. We have DirecTV and using their remote I was able to add the soundbar to the remote via the DirecTV on TV settings. I have had issues with the soundbar not responding to the remote and sometimes even powering everything off and back on won't fix the issue so it's to the app to see if I can get the soundbar to respond to it. Unfortunately, my biggest gripe is that no remote is provided by Bose so if the TV provider remote isn't doesn't control and I'm not home at the time my wife will just have to do without and use the anemic TV speakers. I've scoured the internet to see if there is a better universal remote that I can use but haven't found one yet. Now on to the sound... paired with the Lifestyle speakers and subwoofer you get a really wonderful sound stage. I've had to knock down the subwoofer a bit due to it being a bit much for some shows, mainly action movies, rattle the windows but in a good way for my taste but not so much my wife's. The Lifestyle Ultra Speakers as surrounds provide very good response with very rich sound providing that really good engulfing sound.

Review for Bose Lifestyle Ultra Speakers I got the Bose Lifestyle Ultra Speakers as part of a full home theater setup to replace my aging wired system. The sound is simply incredible! The speakers are small but solidly made and produce wonderful rear audio for the theater setup, but they also can be used to play music from a variety of sources. There is even an input for hardwiring a turntable or a CD player. Two forward speakers and one upfiring speaker fill the room with crystal-clear sound - stunning treble and superior bass. I even joked with my wife that I never knew the Roku animation made a little high-pitched sound when the letters land - I had never heard it before! It’s easy to customize the speakers using the Bose app. You can pair them for stereo sound, or like in my case, add them to the home theater setup together with the soundbar and subwoofer. You can add additional speakers throughout your house to have your music follow you around. The CustomTune feature in the app let me optimize the output from all of the speakers for the room they’re in by using three self-selected locations in the room. The app averages the three locations to create the best audio experience. Bose is good about updating their software app, so if I could get one additional feature, it would be to allow a more platform-agnostic voice-recognition. Currently, it only supports Alexa, but it would be great to be able to use Ask Google and Apple Siri.

This Bose speaker is part of a system designed for your TV entertainment system, and kicks butt. The system sounds amazing. Perfect highs and mids with no distortions whatsoever. Setup was easy from a hardware perspective but setting up the app was initially problematic until Bose pushed out an update that enabled more customization for sound however the default found was just about perfect for me. To see this thing is loud is an understatement. I had the windows and the walls rattling in my living room and I could hear it coming from this living room to the front of the house. He gives the perfect theater experience in your own home From an appearance standpoint, the units look beautiful in the home. The biggest Stand out for a hardware standpoint Is the size of the subwoofer And having his face for your sound bar. If you have both of those handy, you’re all set. Like all hardware from Bose, you are gonna get a premier experience and you will not be disappointed. You cannot go wrong with this set up from Bose.

These Complete the Home Theater Experience

I originally set these Bose Lifestyle Ultra Speakers up as a standalone stereo pair through the Bose app before adding them into the full home theater system, and I was honestly impressed by how good they sounded on their own. The sound signature feels warm and full, and they get surprisingly powerful for their size. I tested a bunch of different music including Streetlight Manifesto, Eminem, J. Cole, and several other genres, and everything sounded great. These speakers do a really good job filling the room without sounding harsh or overly bright. That said, adding them into the full home theater setup completely changed the experience. One of the coolest things is how accurately sounds move around the room. For example, if a car speeds behind the camera from left to right, you actually hear it move behind you and transition across the room naturally. It makes movies feel much more immersive and cinematic. Watching Interstellar with the full setup was incredible. The surround effects combined with the Dolby Atmos soundbar made the room feel huge. These speakers really complete the experience. Setup was also super easy. Since they are wireless, you only need power for each speaker, and the included power cables are long enough to make placement flexible. I personally have mine on bookshelves, but they would also work great on speaker stands. Not needing traditional speaker wire running across the room is a massive plus for me. Design-wise, they have that classic Bose black speaker look that blends easily into modern spaces. They look sleek without drawing too much attention to themselves. Another feature I really like is that the speakers and soundbar support Google Cast and AirPlay, and they can also be grouped with other compatible speakers through those ecosystems. That adds a lot of flexibility beyond just home theater use. Once connected, the speakers have been stable with no disconnects or audio delay issues. Overall, these speakers are small but seriously powerful. If you already own the Bose Ultra Soundbar, I would absolutely recommend adding these to complete the setup. They make a huge difference for surround immersion and also work great as a standalone stereo pair for music listening.

An Awesome Addition to an Already Awesome Soundbar

The Bose Ultra Speakers are an awesome addition to the already great Bose Ultra Lifestyle Soundbar. These are rear satellite speakers that create a stronger surround sound presence for this latest generation of Bose home theater products. Design: One thing I really appreciate about these speakers is that they are not tiny, that’s a representation of quality and intention by Bose. They want these to sound good and they didn’t try to over prioritize form over function with this product. Still, they are not massive speakers either that will dominate your living room. They have a clean modern aesthetic that kind of blends into your space. Connectivity: Not much to say here besides they connect wirelessly to the soundbar. It’s really simple and I didn’t have any problems connecting them. I have not experienced any sound breaking up or choppiness. Audio: In my opinion these rear speakers really take this latest Bose home theater experience to the next level. I’m not saying the soundbar on it’s own isn’t a great experience, but these just take that sound and adds a massive layer of immersion. These are not just forward firing speakers. They also fire upwards like the soundbar to add more layers of downward sound from your ceiling with Dolby Atmos. What else can I say? They provide a simple, user friendly way to generate rear and downward sound to just take the Bose Ultra Lifestyle to the next level. I highly recommend picking these up at some point.

I went with these speakers to complete the Bose Lifestyle Ultra soundbar and subwoofer and what already was an amazing experience is elevated by adding two of these speakers. Unboxing was what I expected, very well packed and what you would expect from Bose. Although I feel the finish wasn’t what the soundbar and subwoofer has it doesn’t really matter because they are in the back of the room and aren’t at the center of your sight. Once I powered them on they connected right to my home theater system already complete, sub and soundbar. They immediately blended right in to the overall sound. Although I haven’t tried them by themselves alone, I think they are much more capable of what I’m hearing as surround speakers. They can clearly be stand alone speakers based on the touch controls on the top. They have full control on top, bass ports in the back and mounts on the bottom for stands. I also have some Denon HEOS speakers and it feels like they are trying to compete however I’m using for surround but I bet they would certainly compete with those. Overall, they are classic Bose with premium wrap and classy looks. They certainly put out a way better sound range than my old Bose cubes that relied on a sub, these have a very good full range on their own. I would recommend the whole system. Even though it’s expensive for the sub, soundbar and surrounds, it still sounds better than any $5,000+ system. Well worth the money, don’t let the size fool you!

Just for clarity these Ultra speakers were combined with the Lifestyle Subwoofer and soundbar. But this review will mostly just cover the Ultra Wireless speakers. Unboxing and setup was as simple as it gets using Boses great app. Following it step by step got me up and running in no time. And since these are wireless it takes even less time since you dont have to run long wires. Once set up and in the app you can do all your settings and tweaking the sound to your preference. Its so helpful to have an app that has things laid out in an easy to follow manner. The speakers themselves look great and of course match the sub and soundbars look. All combined it looks great. Once set up I tried just the Ultra speakers alone and was blown away at the sound quality. All I kept thinking was “Wow if these alone sound this good imagine the combo all together”. I am not a fan of base and speakers that rumble. I always prefer and more flat, tight, and accurate sound. And Bose nailed that here. Music, movies, and my gaming all sounds so good. And the combined system makes surround almost theater like. I cant wait to have a get together to brag about these and demo them for friends. If you are like me and really love good quality sound look no further. Bose took care of the heavy work, now its up to you!

I have to say, I am really loving the Bose Lifestyle Ultra products, specifically the Ultra Speaker. I have used this to replace my apple homepods which was my Atmos sound. The Ultra Pro products deliver Atmos to a whole other level of sound amplitude to my movie watching experience. Linking it together with the subwoofer and the soundbar....OMG these things create a whole new dynamic for me. The speaker is an extremely quality product as are the others in the Ultra line and are extremely aesthetically pleasing to look at. However, despite the look that they have, they deliver superior sound experiences. Since i did not have an additional speaker, it is very nice having this for the stereo feel (need two of them which i highly recommend). The spatial sounds that these little speakers give off are phenomenal and it truly changes the audio experience for me. Watching band of brothers and hearing the soldiers footsteps as if they where behind you was incredible. I cant recommend these enough and make sure you buy two.
