I purchased this item based on the product description that it masks unwanted noises. Well, for me (actually for my wife), this works! She no longer hears my snoring. Well worth the money.

This is a little expensive, but well worth the money if you have a snoring partner. This frowns out the noise and has a great added feature of a wake up alarm on the app. Would highly recommend.

These are great. They have soft sound so you can block out snoring. I understand there a lot of money. But for me they do work. You have to keep your phone on all thru the night to use your ear puds.

My SleepBuds worked for a little while but now they will not stay connected so they won't work. I followed all the troubleshooting advice from Bose, including updating the firmware and nothing made them work. I submitted negative feedback to the Bose website and they claimed it had inappropriate content and refused to post it. My feedback did not contain any personal information, profanity, or hyperlinks, just factual information about my experience. I have many Bose products and this is my first bad experience with them but it has really turned me off, especially given the price of their products. Beware their website as they only publish positive reviews.

Bose typically makes amazing products, but they've missed the mark here. These earbuds are designed to pump white noise in your ears directly to keep distractions away. That's all fine in theory, but these earbuds simply do NOT stay in ears during the night. In addition, they don't keep a charge. So much so, that Bose has discontinued these, so I've returned them. Hopefully they learn from their mistakes and the next iteration of this product is much better.

Bought for my wife, so she could sleep thru my snoring. She is reluctant to wear because she can’t hear in the house at night. Nights I am unbearable she wears them and sleeps good. Only time will tell if she can trust enough to wear full time.

Does exactly what they are designed for

These are designed to create an ambient background noise to block out external sounds and drown thoughts as you fall asleep. They are not sound proof so you could still be awakened by a smoke alarm or other important noise. They fit inside the plane of your ear so you can sleep on your side with them in. Battery life is good for a full night. They only function as a sleep device so they do not connect to music or other audio to help resist the temptation to turn them into a set of headphones. My wife uses them. She has had awful sleep issues all her life. They’ve really helped her get better sleep. I recommend if you are in a similar situation.

Bought this for my wife's birthday. She was not able to get these to fit well in her ears to block outside noise even though she tried all three included inserts. I tried them before deciding whether or not to return them.I liked them so much that I decided to keep them for myself. Fit well in my ear and comfortable. Several different "white noise" options. Tried one night without using them, and I believe that my sleep was not as good as when using the device. Also, the alarm function works well. If your sleep is good now without using anything, then you may not have any better sleep. However, if your partner snores, these might work better then earplugs.

Well, you have to give credit to Bose for creating a piece of technology comfortable enough to use while sleeping. I was worried I’d have to sleep on my back because of a small mass in my ear that would be uncomfortable to lay on. Amazing they don’t interfere with my side sleeping at all. The only sensation I have that something is in my ear is the rustle of the ear piece body on the pillow. That’s kind of enough when you first try to settle in but once you’re still, no problem. After about a week of use, only one night did an ear piece fall out. It’s odd because it was the left ear and I don’t sleep on that side. I probably didn’t have it hooked into my ear well that night. For me, the medium tips work just fine. As for the noise isolating/blocking performance, I think it’s hard to say this piece of technology works much better than foam ear plugs. The airport in Atlanta is essentially my back yard, so for seven years I’ve been using ear plugs. I’m an individual that needs a quiet place to fall asleep. Once I’m asleep, I’m usually fine, but any non-rhythmic noise is torturous. So as I mentioned, the amount of sound that makes it through seems to be on par with some dumb plugs. What’s nice about the Bose ear pieces though is the white noise option. I picked one that essentially sounds like an oscillating fan. It’s a nice, steady noise with no peaks and valleys. It’s nice you can set up how long you want it to run too. So for me, since falling asleep is the critical point, I can set it up for a few hours and have it turn off. The case is nicely thought out and feels good to handle. The things that bug me. It’s awesome that you can set alarms and it’s worked well for me, and you don’t bother your spouse. Problem is the snooze function. If you want to snooze, you have to do it from your phone. That’s a bit cumbersome. Then again, if you’re a snooze button abuser, maybe you’re better off that way. Usually I just hit it once then I’m ready to go. I wish you could tap the ear piece a couple of times to set a snooze. That would be better. Maybe with another year or two of miniaturization, that can work that into these already tiny ear pieces. The other nuisance is you can’t tell with the charge is on the ear pieces without sliding open the cover of the case or if the pieces are removed. I’d like it better if I could connect to the ear pieces via Bluetooth even if they’re still docked in the charge case. Given the size of the case, you’d think you’d get more than just one-ish additional charge. Another possible improvement, would be if they had a mic so it could push noises through, if you chose. I’m thinking like maybe a decibel threshold you set so you know miss hearing smoke detectors, alarms systems, loud crashes, etc. Probably one of those things they just didn’t have room to fit and keep the size of the device. They do make sure to warn you to be aware of the volume setting so you don’t completely drown outside noise, but a pass through option would be great. I don’t know that most folks could really justify buying these given the purposeful function is essentially on par with a pair of dumb plugs. If you’re like my wife though and can’t stand having something inserted deeper in your ear, this would probably be a great choice. The alarm and white noise selection do make them a nice want though.
