Sleep is essentIal to me but I struggle with it due to stress and tinnitus. Along comes a product like this which is a different concept than a machine which simply makes wave noise out of a speaker. This is a personal product that promotes sleep by taking noises like waves and nature like sounds , placing them in your ear, and timing them so you can wake up refreshed. This is an incredible product for people like myself who struggle with getting rest. Upon 1st try I had uninterrupted sleep which is unprecedented. This is extremely rare and is very special. I did a 5 hr sleep arrangement and I only woke up when my wife told me to feed the cat. All I can say is wow this is truly essential. I can hear better and it will take time for me to catch up but the sleep buds will help me lead the way. I am excited of the prospect of better sleep through Bose’s noise reduction which eliminates the tinnitus feeling for me and even if I’m focused on something I’m thinking about at bed, Bose will place me at ease. There are various sound choices. I highly recommend this product.

THANK YOU Bose THANK YOU! These sleep buds are fantastic. They come in a small case which acts as a storage container and charger at the same time. Set up was super simple and quick. I used them for the entire night, they stayed in place and were comfortable too. These are great for masking outside noises such as snoring or cars going by. Plenty of sounds to choose from in order to fit your needs best. I personally love the fan sound. It allows me to shut off my box fan! My one and only wish is that the noise level would decrease slowly over time leading up to the shut off time rather than just shutting off abruptly. Unfortunately for me as a super light sleeper, once the end time hit and they shut off the sound I immediately woke up. Looks like I’ll just set the time to last the whole night. Will need to make sure I have my phone plugged in the whole night though

Since getting married, I have begun snoring. In fact, my wife told me my snoring is getting louder and louder. This causes her to move to the guest room in the middle of the night about once a week- bad for her and me. I have bought mouth guards to reduce snoring and we have tried sound machines. Needless to say, we were skeptical. Got the sleepbuds. We were impressed with design and they fit and we comfortable in her ears (which is saying something). And they worked! A couple of these reviews are from people that seem to be trying the product out, but they do not have sleeping issues. They cannot understand the value that this product brings. If you have a spouse that snores or a spouse that leaves your room because you snore, give it a shot. I am now a happy husband, and you can be too.

I always wake at night & there's no getting around it. What these Bose earbuds do though, is send me back to sleep MUCH quicker than ever before...& that's what makes these work. From the comfort to the soothing sounds that take me back to dreamland, this is the best all-around solution I've ever tried. The soothing sounds greet me when I wake & send me back much quicker than ever to the much needed rest that I need. For me, I've not found anything that even comes close...thanks Bose!!

This is the worst product from Bose I owned. Bose is known for good noise cancellation/good sound quality and this has none of them. I sleep with Bose QC 20 for a few years already so I decided to try out these sleepbuds when I learnt about them. *Pros: - The buds fit perfectly in my ears, very comfortable to wear - The charge case looks cool *Cons: - Expensive although few features are offered - Must be used with a smartphone - Sound selection is limited - The app has bugs and does not let me set the hour of alarms (see attached screenshot) - No active noise cancellation - instead use static sound to cover outside noise which is not effective - the sound it makes even woke me up instead of keeping me asleep Bottom line: At this price, this product is very disappointing. I will stick to my QC20 for sleeping. My recommendations: - If you want to block noise, use foam earplugs (cheap) or QC20 (so much more effective) - If you want to sleep with noise, just find some white noise and play with some speakers

I gave up on the “white noise machine” and like these sleep-buds much better. Much more convenient to just slip in your ears, use the downloaded app and just push a button on your phone to select a sleep sound from the list and say good night. They are surprisingly extremely comfortable with no complaints at all and they stay in place. You can adjust the noise levels so that you can block out a good majority of the “outside” noise. They really do make it much easier to sleep through the night. Although a little pricey, I highly recommend these for the sleep-deprived like myself.

My job requires that I work the night shift. I sleep anytime I can, but it is usually during the day. I have three kids and 4 dogs that LOVE to make lots of noise when I'm trying to sleep. After I started using the BOSE sleepbuds I notice that I wake up less frequently and get more restful sleep. The sleepbuds are comfortable and are awesome at drowning out the noise of life! The sounds that come with the BOSE app help me to relax, fall asleep, and stay asleep. What a wonderful device!

I am really happy with these sleep buds. The instructions were simple and clear, the App download was quick and easy, they are very comfortable, and once they charged up, oh baby oh baby, sleep again! My husband's CPAP machine wheezes and whistles when the mask gets jarred, but when using these, the machine noise has been reduced to a murmur. Happy wife, happy life.

I waited for these to come out. I need these. I shareabed. With a power snorer. I practically stalked the store and Boseuntil these came out once I heard they were developing them. But they should have stayed in development. The sounds are annoying to sleep through or with. I woke several times ready to tear these buds out of my ears because they annoyed me. I did set the alarm but I was annoyed well before the alarm came that would shut the sounds off. And still with all 10 of their sounds, I could not drown out the snorer sleeping next to me These buds are of the highest quality. The sound is superb. The box they come in is really nice. But. They still just miss the mark of helping me over come this problem. Maybe if they let me play my own music that would help. But that’s it an option. I also missed an VERY important phone call. Someone passed on and I should have been able to get the phone call but these did not alert me there was a call. For that alone a star is missing in rating these. I love Bise products and hope that one day they will correct the issue that makes these not quite there yet. Lastly I had a friend try them on while sitting in the living room while my son played a game on his phone. No matter what sound she put it on, she could hear his game over the sounds given with the earbuds UNLESS she turned it all the way up. And that’s when it gets really annoying. Nice try Bose, but your not quite there yet.

I live closed to an airport therefore there is constant noise even late at night. However now that I am using the new Bose noise-masking sleepbuds, I am able to sleep at night with the windows opened on the cool nights of this summer. The noise-masking sleepsbuds come a charge that is also a case to keep them safe. The case is small so that they can be easily carry them and it also provides the sleepbuds with an additional charge even when the case is unplugged. The case design is nice and simple. You need download and install the app in your smart phone. The app is very easy to used and provides 10 different sounds that can be play on the sleepbuds. My favorite one so far is the shower one. I thought it was funny there is one to “Altitute” because it sounds like the inside of an airplane cabin and that is the sound that I personally would like to mask with the sleepbuds and not make them play.The only thing so far that I wish Bose change is that they only come on white color so there isn’t an option to choose another color.

There are some really long reviews here, so I’ll keep this brief. I’m a frequent business traveler to both large cities or smaller cities where the hotel is right next to a busy highway, airport or turnpike. I’ll not overtly call out any premium chains, but two major ones have a pretty wide variation when it comes to noise level inside the room from the HVAC system. I don’t need absolute silence to sleep, but random rattling sounds will keep me up, especially if it’s loud. I pre-ordered these because they seemed promising and was excited when they arrived. I expected a fair amount of noise masking, but these perform beyond my expectations. They drown out almost all ambient sound if you choose a sound that hits the same frequency range. An added bonus is that I have tinnitus really bad with high-pitched ringing in my ears at all times and some sounds these make really reduce how noticeable it is. 10/10 would and have suggested these to other business travelers.

I don't have a normal sleep cycle due to insomnia, my overactive brain, and sensitivity to sound. These sleepbuds help me so much to get a restful night. They quiet my mind and allow me to relax and fall to sleep and stay asleep longer. Bose quality is fantastic, the buds are easy to use and charge. Sure has made a difference in my overall health and well being. I just wish they played music too!

I LOVE my sleepbuds that I purchased last year when they are working correctly. Makes a world of difference when my boyfriend is snoring. However, due to repetitive disconnecting from Bluetooth in the middle of the night and charging issues I went to send them back for repair only to find out the product has been discontinued due to quality that does not meet the Bose standards. They are not a safety risk therefore no recall was initiated. DON'T PURCHASE YOUR ONE WARRANTY WONT COVER YOU! Part of online statement from Bose: You’ve reported issues with your sleepbuds™ not charging fully, powering down unexpectedly, or both. And you’ve let us know. We’ve heard you. We’ve read your posts. We’ve documented your calls. We’ve torn down returned products you’ve sent us, and replaced them with new ones, sometimes more than once. We’ve also relentlessly researched the root cause with a team dedicated to nothing else. Based on what we knew, we believed that software and firmware updates could fix the issues. But the failures have continued, and recently, they’ve increased. That led us to look more closely at each piece of hardware. And we learned that while the battery we chose functions safely, it doesn’t work as consistently or predictably as it should to meet our standards. For that reason, we’re discontinuing sleepbuds™. We’ll go back to research, because we are committed to making our vision a reality. But today, we begin with something more important – doing whatever it takes to make things right with you.

I have been having difficulty sleeping, and found that soothing sounds have helped. However, traditional earphones are physically uncomfortable if you roll onto your side - so much so that they'll wake me up not longer after sending me to sleep. That's why I opted to pay the $250 for these, and at first try they seemed to be well worth the money. Beautifully made earbuds, truly small enough to not cause any discomfort. If the accompanying sounds were of the same quality, I think I would have happily kept the Sleepbuds in all night. However, the sounds are not of the same quality. Of the 10, many are just variations on humming, and not what I need (as mentioned, I prefer the 'dreamier' kind of sound to help ease me into sleep). Others, such as waves and stream, seem to be computer-generated, and quite poorly so. The only sound that could potentially meet my needs is "Tranquility" (or something like that) - the lullaby-like tune which would be my normal go-to for relaxing me. But even this one is bad, and seems to be the same small sample on a 5- or 10-second loop, which becomes very agitating VERY quickly. So, in summary: If, like me, you're looking for a spa-like tune to help you off to sleep, this isn't likely going to cut it. If you just need something to mask outside noises, it will probably do the trick, as long as you're not too fussy about the quality of sounds you're listening to.

I wanted to try the Bose sleep buds because I am a light sleeper and have a hard time falling asleep and staying asleep with some external noises such as freeway noise, teenager yelling while playing video games, and husband snoring. I was a little concerned when I first saw the buds and thought they would be uncomfortable but to my surprise, they fit just fine. Since I am a side sleeper, though, I do have to adjust my head a bit in order to be comfortable. The setup was easy with the Bose app and I haven't had much difficulty with connectivity. There are 10 sounds to choose from and I have to say I only use about 3-4 of them. It would be nice if there was a way to download additional sounds to provide more options. The sleep buds have helped drown out the sounds that would normally wake me up but these buds are not noise cancelling. They do mask the external sounds but I can still hear snoring just not as loud and not loud enough to wake me from my sleep. Overall, after using the sleep buds for over a week now, I can say they have helped in providing me a full night's sleep and I hope that continues. If you have tried other basic earplugs and are willing to pay the price, these might be for you.

My husband is a snorer! For the last 6 years the only hope of getting sleep was to wear iPhone corded earphones attached to my iPhone while I listened to a rainstorm. Unfortunately that meant not laying on the cord or constantly waking up to put the headphone back in my ear that had fallen out. It also meant bruising in my small ears from the hard earphones. I purchased these Bose Sleepbuds with the hope that they would be better. They surpassed my expectations!!! I slept all night without hearing my husbands awful snoring. I am elated to have my new earbuds. I would strongly recommend these to anyone that cannot sleep due to any noises keeping you up. They won’t disappoint.

I’ve had small reliability issues with this product since day 1. It’s always been just a bit harder than it should be to get this item to work. However, over the months, it’s progressively worsened to the point that I’m simply not surprised when I find my sleep disrupted yet again by having to troubleshoot at 1am. There are a few design problems here. But from my experience the vast majority of this product’s many problems originate from the buds’ almost comical inability to stay seated in the charging unit. I’m scrupulously careful to make sure they’re charging when I put them away. I’d say a good one in three times when I go to put them on, they stopped charging. My wife also has a pair and she’s experiencing the same slow reliability decline. So perhaps we’re both unlucky and managed to get defective units? But you have to ask yourself what Bose QA is like if this can occur twice in one household. One other issue is how it downloads new sounds. It’ll take a long time—maybe up to twenty minutes to download one new track. So, either I make time during the day laboriously transferring track after track, or I begin the process when I’m trying to use them to sleep. How is this a mature product? The troubleshooting documentation is woeful. It’s beautifully designed. It looks slick. It’s content free. I’d love to be able to rely on this product, Bose. But you’ve failed at creating a product which can be relied on. Consumers, save yourself money and time. This product isn’t ready for the market.

Exactly as intended, they help drown out unwanted sounds for a better night sleep or while awake and wanting to cut out other sounds....reading while someone else is watching tv, as an example. I have recommended these to friends and 3 others have bought them and love them also.

Awesome product. I really loved using them until I had to send them back when Bose recalled them. Never had any troubles with mine. Sent them back anyway. I wish I had kept them.

Let me start off by saying these earbuds do what they’re set out to do. I absolutely love the soothing noises the app comes with as I usually listen to brown noise to fall asleep and “warm static” is similar to this. I’m one of the lightest sleepers I know. My anxiety paired with loud roommates make it almost impossible to get a good night’s rest. And I know this product would’ve worked for me, had it fit comfortably. The biggest fault for me is the fit. The ear buds come with different size wings - S, M, L - which change how the ear buds fit in your ear. However, I found that even the smallest size was too big. It completely hurts my ear because I sleep on my side. I’ve tried pillows with different densities, sleeping on one ear vs the other, and nothing seems to work. However, if this design was based off the size or regular ear buds, I can see why it doesn’t work for me. Regular ear buds are too large for my ear, and I end up having to cut them to a specific shape to feel comfortable. I’m really disappointed because I absolutely love how the earbuds sound and the noise they block out, but ultimately I gave them two stars because it’s impossible for me to use them even after trying several nights in a row. Hopefully a newer and smaller version can come out soon because it will be my life saver.
