Great idea but needs work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had such high hope for this product. Bose is known for there noise canceling technology. Bose where is that technology in this products for 250 dollars. I expected more from this. It feel like I have my apple ear buds on. Please improve. I wanted reduction in sounds not to hear sounds while I sleep. I could still hear everything maybe a 30 percent reduction that’s all. Might as well buy earplugs for 4.99

Thank you for providing your review of the Noise-masking sleepbuds. Sorry to hear that they did not quite live up to your expectations. Noise cancellation is most effective in environments with lots of low-frequency sounds (airliners, buses, etc), combined with passive blocking to achieve a good reduction of sound at all frequencies.
Masking works because of the different sounds combine in our inner ears; if they have the right match of frequencies and one (the masking sound) is just enough louder than another (the disturbing sound), your inner ear and brain cannot detect the disturbing sound.

Hurts my ear canal

I had to stop using them due to the fact my ear canal felt sore, feels like they're bruised. Also bose should provide more sound options, I was surprised there wasn’t a thunderstorm option.

We would recommend trying all three sizes of the included StayHear+ Sleep eartips. Some users have benefited from trying a different size in each ear.
We are always working on new soothing sounds, and we have actually released 10 new sounds in an update from October 31, 2018. These sounds can be transferred from the Bose Sleep app to your Sleepbuds. We think you would really like the new sounds called "Hideaway" and "Squall". These feature sounds of thunder and rain.
