    Bose review Setting it up was easy. Just don’t try to pair it with Bluetooth first, follow the instructions, or one wrong step will prevent it from setting up over wi-fi, the correct way. If you nerf it, there’s a way to factory reset it, do that and try again. The package contents are minimal. Speaker unit. Charge cord. It does plug in via USB-C (the wall cord does not disconnect from the plug.) I also noticed it has contacts for a charge dock, which I most certainly plan to get later this year. I use Alexa voice assistant and it responds most of the time if I have the power mode set to “stand-by on” There’s an option to shut it all the way down to conserve battery life. My unit is used primarily in the bathroom, with the occasional trip to the kitchen when I am cooking or cleaning. There were no signal issues with wifi and it is airplay compatible. The sound. The best part. The purpose of this device. Bose has been a leader in audio for quite some time and they did not fail. There is a good amount of bass, which I like my music more on the bass heavy side. It hits highs and lows every well and doesn’t rattle when the volume is up. Music sounds excellent on this device as always. The battery life itself is pretty good, it lasts me for a few hours if I am down stairs cooking or cleaning the kitchen level, at a higher volume, and Alexa hears me over the music well. There are indicator lights when you call for Alexa and it behaves like an echo. (White and Yellow instead of how Echo has multiple colors) There is an app that goes along with this: Bose Connect, which is needed to do firmware updates and has it’s own audio player, but I rarely use it, opting to have Alexa pull my pandora stations. The only downside I note for now, is that it doesn’t support Apple Music? Not sure how that happened, but I hope in the near future that they do, so my work around is having my iPhone’s music airplay to the speaker, with the obvious downside of no voice control if I leave my phone in the bedroom while I am showering. Overall, I give this speaker a thumbs up if you’re looking for something that sounds great, has a great battery life, and want something that’s ultra portable.

    It’s awful. Will not hold charge and hardly takes a charge without hearing battery not charging please use a different charger.

    I thought it would sound louder. Started to make a weird noise not even 3 months of using it. Not sure what it is. It’s expensive. Save your money

    Bose once again retains its well deserved reputation for one of the leaders in sound quality. And of course you get this in a portable design now which is awesome. The initial set up is as simple as it gets downloading the app and using your device to connect via Bluetooth. My S10plus has a lot of music on it already so this is my go to music device. Once its fully charged and set up your ready to go. It has a lot of extra features as well such as Google assistant and Alexa. I prefer Google over the Amazon assistant since most of my devices are run with Android. It can also stream via most of the popular music streaming services like Pandora, Spotify, etc. The device itself is well made and not too heavy, but heavy enough to tell it has some quality speakers inside. The battery last forever being rated at 12 hours, but I never would even come close to that without recharging it. So I dont see it ever running out while is use. It is also rated as water resistant, but this is not water proof. Not that I see ever using it in the rain, but at least if it gets a little wet it should be OK. Sound. As I said before, Its a Bose. Usually thats enough because of just how good Bose has made a reputation for sound quality. And of course this is no exception. Amazing full sound. Perfectly balanced and much louder than you would expect from such a small device. And the sound travels exceptionally well. No need to “aim” the speaker. It fills the area. As said its balanced so well. Perfect highs, mids, and lows with non of each drowing out the other like other Bass heavy devices. Dont get me wrong, I like Bass, but as I get older I prefer more accurate sound over “BOOM”. So in summary Bose has cranked it (no pun intended) out of the park with this one. Solid build, a host of features that make it so simple to set up and use, long battery life, and of course Bose's signature perfectly balanced sound make for the best Bluetooth speaker I have ever had.

    --- Volume and Sound Quality I don’t know what type of magic Bose employs, but this speaker can fill even a large room with very expansive sound. Having the speaker off to one side is fine, but where it shines is if it’s in the center of your room where it can produce sound in all directions. Sound quality is crystal clear goodness. Straight out of the box with no changes to bass or treble, it produces a balanced sound profile with a surprising amount of depth to the lower end. You can adjust the bass and treble within the app. I did not find the bass setting to change the low end all that much, however, I don’t think the bass needs to be much richer. It’s plenty good with default settings. Treble did make quite a bit of difference, though. --- Google Assistant / Amazon Alexa I don’t use Amazon Alexa, but I do use Google Assistant and the speaker was quick to listen to and respond to commands. Even at higher volumes, it was able to distinguish my voice without having to raise the volume of my voice all that much. --- USB-C Charging and Battery Life Love the fact that it uses USB-C for charging rather than a proprietary charging cable. Battery life is claimed at 12 hours and I think it can easily exceed that. I do wish that the charging cradle was included in the purchase, especially at this price. --- Hardware Good overall design. The base is slightly curved which looks nice, but also make its slightly tipsy. I won’t say it’s unstable by any means, but it just would be more stable with a slightly wider base. Buttons are nice and responsive and the silicon material that is used on the top of the device is soft to the touch. Volume controls have small increments which I tend to like since the volume rockers on phones can sometimes be too abrupt in between notches. --- A Fantastic Speaker It’s not cheap, but produces some phenomenal sound with some of the smart home smarts from Google and Alexa.

    This is a sad speaker, ive own other bose speakers. And loved them dearly, but this particular speaker sucks. NOT WORTH THE MONEY

    It is junk. And too late for me to return it. Do not waste your money. The battery does not hold a charge and does not recharge. I followed the directions for resetting, it did rest but then did not hold a recharge. Very disappointed and will not buy another Bose product.

    This thing SUCKS! nothing but connection problems, distorted audio. and now 6 months later I turned it on--and the white light on top just spins around--you can't turn it off again. It wont respond to anything! $389 on garbage!

    After 1.5 yr it stopped working. Wouldnt pair. No sound. Perform multiple factory reset. No luck. Now let see if total tech support can come through!

    Treble was ok, bass was horrible. Sounded like the speaker was blown. Took it back and that was the end of that Bluetooth speaker.

    Easy Setup and Amazing Sound

    A long time coming, but finally Bose has a Speaker with both Alexa Google assistant built-in, and it is portable to boot. Sound Quality Bose's core competency has always been big high quality sound from a small package, and this speaker is no exception. Great Bass along with great performance in all other areas too. Design Similar to the previous line of Bose revolve speakers. The cylindrical design is simple and minimalist, doesn't really make any kind of statement at all, but it isn't an eyesore either. The design allows for 360 degrees of sound, so even if placed in the center of a room, you will good sound everywhere. Also, this speaker is portable and water resistant with upto 12 hours of battery life (not tested yet). I plan on using this as a bathroom/shower speaker at home and will cart it along to parks beaches when I can. Features Bluetooth when WiFi is not available. When on WiFi, you can choose to use Alexa or Google assistant to make this a smart device and stream music from all the supported services (Spotify, Pandora, Amazon, Google Play, etc...) This is a great speaker with the top notch sound quality you expect from Bose. Portability and smart features make this easy to recommend to anyone looking for a high end smart portable speaker.

    Sounds great, but am assuming this open-box item is defective because it doesn't hold a battery charge for long. I think whoever inspects returned items needs to check them out more thoroughly. Also smells strongly of perfume, presumably from previous owner.

    Not as good as Bose Soundlink Revolve II

    This speaker has some charging issues. It always says battery is 70% although I have been charging it for over 5 hours. I bought it at Best Buy Downey location. I returned it to Best Buy Hollywood location.
