There is a pretty big glitch for which I have not received a fix for from Bose. You cannot power the speaker off with the power button when not using the speaker. This causes the speaker to drain battery when not in use. If this could get fixed, I would give 5 stars.

Posted .I am so happy to hear you are enjoying the sound quality of your new speaker! Press and hold the power button for two seconds to turn the speaker off. The speaker plays a tone to indicate that it has turned off. Just so you know, to save battery power, the speaker automatically turns off after 20 minutes of inactivity when it is not plugged in, not connected to a Wi-Fi network and not playing audio.

When used at home connected to your WIFI network the speaker is able to be used with Airplay 2 for a more stable connection and Bluetooth when taken outside the home if you are experiencing difficulty with your connections or any other issues, please reach out to support and we’ll be happy to help!

This thing consistently fails to hold a charge, is a pain to charge when it does charge and 90% of the time when I go to use it it will not turn on. Even worse I was told that it would sink with other bows smart speakers like the flex link, and it does not. This particular product has soured me on the Bose line

Posted .Hello Albert, We are sorry to hear you are facing these issues with your Portable Smart Speaker not holding its charge.
Playback time may be as little as three hours if the speaker is used continuously at high a volume level while streaming audio over Wi-Fi. The distance from the Wi-Fi access point also affects the speaker's battery life. To increase the playback time, reduce the volume level and/or reduce the distance from the Wi-Fi access point.

Posted .Thanks for reviewing the Portable Smart Speaker! The battery will last up to 12 hours when in use, or up to 24 hours in standby mode (i.e. after 20 minutes of inactivity). If you turn the speaker off via the Power button, the speaker will be completely off, conserving the battery. Regards, Fiona M. - Bose Customer Support
