The battery lasts only if you remember to turn it off. Dont forget, or the battery will drain overnight. Maybe they will make a software update to set an auto shut-off.

While the speaker can last up to 12 hours when playing and up to 24 hours in standby mode, the rechargeable battery will drain slightly when the speaker is not in use, especially if Alexa or Google Assistant is connected, since the speaker continues listening for voice commands in standby mode. To conserve battery life, if you’re done listening and don’t need voice assistant functionality, press and hold the Power button for two seconds to fully power off the speaker. Please note that the speaker will not appear in the Bose app when it is fully powered off.

But feels like it’s over power go at high volumes and also wish it could have a features as it can map out the environment to project sound better depending on environment at this price it should have smart features like these.

Lasts a full charge all day after a full night of charging. One heck of a 'box' for the price. It''s Bose.

Set-up was as easy as can be as I already have several Bose Home Speakers, and the sound quality is excellent. Another outstanding product from Bose!! I have had issues connecting to Alexa one day not sure what is was but no longer a issue.
