After having Bose headphones for years, I decided ti try the ear buds. Love them.

The sound it's amazing, but the little part that controls the noise canceling it's too close to the headphone jack, but it's just a matter of preferences.

Noise cancelling headphones are great to use in noisy areas

Even though these may be the only available in-ear noise canceling headphones at BestBuy, they work great and Bose did a good job designing them. They don't noise cancel as well as their over-ear brothers but I think its a fair trade off between portability. The only negative is I wish the headphone cord was user placable for when they inevitably break, like the over ear models.

I have several Bose products. I am a huge fan of their products and sound quality. I bought these ear buds expecting them to meet my expectations of Bose's superior sound quality. They did sound great and the noise cancelling is a nice feature but overall these fell short of what I was hoping for. 1. I didn't think the battery being inline of the headphone jack connector would be bad since it is small. I was wrong. It is awkward and I couldn't find a way to position it to make carrying it less awkward. 2. The cables to ear buds felt like they were tugging the buds out of my ears no matter which silicone pieces i installed (medium or large). The clip to secure cord to shirt wasn't much help. 3. The "aware mode" really changed the sound quality. I have less expensive ear buds that sound better than these in "aware mode" or wth the noise cancelling turned off. I was really disappointed these didn't work out for me. If anyone would plan buy these, I would suggest the QuietComfort 25 (over the ear). The sound quality of QC25 is a lot better. They aren't as "portable" as ear buds but these ear buds aren't very portable either with the awkward battery. I feel it's really a matter of personal choice, but I think most people would probably have same opinion. $299 is a bit expensive and I doubt I'd even buy them if they were $199 because of the battery.
