These earbuds created a properly fitting seal so they blocked plenty of ambient noise. The quality of the audio was mediocre but the real problem I had was with the active noise canceling. Switching it on caused an immediate sensation of pressure and disorientation that would eventually build up into nausea. If you are sensitive to certain sounds, you may want to take this into consideration before buying active noise canceling headphones of any kind.

Bose earphones are always good but, in today’s world the 3.5mm jack headphones are not quite useful.

Bose is known for its active noise cancelling technology (which means you have electronic noise cancelling that uses software to cancel out the noise around you, hence the battery), and these are, to my knowledge, the first in-ear (ear bud) active noise cancelling headphones they have made. I bought them several years ago, and to this day they have functioned perfectly. The bass is deep, volume excellent, sound is balanced. In the included carrying case, they are the most portable headphones you can get with these capabilities. Regarding the noise cancelling, the battery lasts easily 10-15 hours, and charges fast. While sitting in Starbucks, I am able to listen to even the softest classical music without having to turn it up super loud to drown out the ambient noise. Being on an airplane, the airplane noise around you goes to almost nothing once you flip the switch to on. These headphones are highly recommended, even for the price.

These did the job. The problem is the lengthy wires and the separate noise cancelling device. Worth the money to go wireless.

These do not totally cancel outside noise. I have to have my husband turn the tv in the next room down so I can't hear it.

sound great but after a years use the buds separated in inside fell out hanging by wires. tried to glue back together separated again a month later super glued this time then started squealing. Totally useless now.

Not thrilled with these especially for the price point. Sounds like I’m talking in a tunnel and people could still much of the background noise.

Not very loud. I expect a lot more for 250$. I used to have respect for bose; not anymore. The sound canceling worked great but the max decibel level is rather sad. Do not buy these. Your better off spending your money on Harman kardon. My last pair of Bose buds were 100$ @nd extremely loud but the insulation dissolved in a few months of sweating while jogging... and they were allegedly sport proof or something to that nature.

I don't have a need to use earphones often, and these were going to be used specifically for travel. So I didn't want to spend lot of money on earphones. But on a previous flight, there was a baby a couple of rows behind me screaming at the top of its lungs for what seemed like hours. I know the poor little thing had to be in pain to be doing that. But it became quite unbearable after such a long time. The earphones I had could not block the sound at all, no matter how loud I had it. I decided right then that I will spend some money on noise cancelling earphones. So I purchased these for my last trip. It does exactly what I bought it for-cancels outside noise extremely well, stay in my ears and feel comfortable for hours, and are much more compact than the over-ear ones. I plugged it into the plane's speaker port to watch movies, turned on the noise cancelling feature which immediately cut out the hum/buzz of the plane's engines (which I didn't think was possible), and I could hear the movie with perfect clarity. I've been traveling quite a bit and will continue to. These have made it to the "must have" packing list. I'll also be using them more often in general. Very pleased with this product.

DO NOT BUY FROM BB. I bought these in August 2020 and they were 2018. I bought another pair from BB in December and they were 2020. There is no discloser as to when they were manufactured unless you buy them open them and look inside the ear piece to check the manufacture date. Ridiculous they would send me a 2018 pair.

These headphones did not meet my expectations. They were not comfortable after 20 minutes.

We purchased these as a gift for our son who is very picky about headphones. He loves them! The sound and bass are excellent. They fit the ear quite well. They also came with adjustable ear inserts to provide a good fit. They do not fall out of the ear.

I bought these just last year, and originally they were superbly effective at canceling airplane noise. Now, just a year later, there is a lot of ambient noise entering during the sound cancelling mode. Very disappointed, and the proposal from Bose is to sell me another pair at nearly full price after submitting my defective ones.

Not for use with apple. All that money spent on quality canceled out completely by an apple headphone adapter. Also the sound proof feature pops constantly ending any chances of you enjoying your music. This might be the biggest waste of money I have ever suffered.

Sound changed after the first four days of use. Not recommended

Poor volume, can't believe these are made by Bose. Dollar tree headphones are 10 times better
