Sound quality is simply the best. Buds stayed in your ears while remaining comfortable. But...wouldn't you know it, the only reason I purchased this model was to make phone calls in a noise office. The mic died just after the warranty expired. It's been in my desk drawer ever since; utterly useless.

Earbuds stay in place even when moving around; noise cancelling is also great and blocks out lots of sounds such as a loud office printer.

so the moment I turned on the noise cancellation my jaw dropped .. it puts you in a different world it's kind of insane. when I toke the earbuds out my AC was actually super super loud , but I couldn't hear any of that with the earbuds on. toke a few days to adjust to the earbud tips , was a bit uncomfortable at first but now I can't even feel them when they're in my ears . can't wait to see how well this does during flights .

These are, in my opinion, the best ear buds I have ever had. I am going today to buy a back up pair because I fear they may stop making them. Best at noice cancelling. Best at sound. I don’t even care that they are wired. The sound is awesome.

Now I have never used a product that did such a great job of filtering out the background noise. These are excellent at doing just that. You can use the power on function to test the unit. I would be cautious about using these in an environment that you may need to hear background sounds for safety such as operating a vehicle. Otherwise they are perfect.

these headphones are surprisingly comfortable, and sound great I just wish they had a little more bass otherwise they are perfect

I wasn't sure how well the noise cancelation would work with the ear buds, but I was pleasantly surprised. The sound is the typical Bose quality and when you engage noise cancellation in noisy environments there is a very noticable hush that happens. I higly recommend these earbuds and look forward when Bose has a Bluetooth version.

Compared to both the QC25 and QC15, the QC20 offer much better noise cancellation and with the sale price this holiday is much lower than even the obsolete QC15. Highly recommended as sound has improved from the last release. I believe Bose release this initially in 2013 and re-release the updated version in 2015.

This is my first pair of noise-canceling headphones. I've used them consistently for about five months and I'm happy with them overall. They don't cancel out loud erratic sounds, like someone talking right behind me, but they take care of most of the hubbub in my office, which is why I bought them. (And if you play your music loud enough, they do eliminate nearly everything.) They're great for plane travel. They drown out the engine noise so you can actually hear the details of whatever you're listening to. The "Aware" mode doesn't do much for me. It adds an unpleasant ambient noise. So I don't use it. No problem. The earbuds are very comfortable. I wear them for hours at a time with no problem. I chose earbuds for the convenience of being able to slip them in my purse and carry them everywhere. They're perfect for that and the carrying case is handy.

QC20 are the industry standard for noise-cancelling earbuds. Note that the Apple version is specific to that platform; some of the controls (volume, pause/play) will work on other platforms as well, but some of the features won't.

The earphones themselves are very nice - comfortable for various ear sizes thanks to the ear bud inserts and with good noise-cancelling properties for an in-ear setup. However, the build is subpar, in particular the wire. Reports of fraying are common, but just as likely is internal damage to the connection which will ultimately stop performance in one or both earbuds (just search online for instances of one ear not working to get a sense of the problem). Bose seems more than willing to address these problems if the earbuds are within warranty (generally only a year), but the moment you are outside of that period, your choices are extremely limited. Basically, Bose will offer to sell you a new pair (the lowest offer I received was 150 dollars plus free shipping). The short time span over which the company is willing to support this product should give you pause, especially if you are using the product regularly. While the performance is good, the expected lifespan is too short to provide the full value of the premium Bose is charging. Ultimately, I paid full price for 1.5 years of earbuds, which doesn't seem worth it from my end. I will be looking elsewhere going forward.

This product is awesome! It's now the second set I own because my wife always borrows mine. Noise cancellation feature for all our flying and conference calls tunes everything out! She loved so much I bought her her very own!

I fly a lot and the Bose QuietComfort 20 are the best noise cancelling device that I have ever used. I was sitting in front of a family with a baby. I was surprised to learn that the baby cried for most of the flight.

I read the reviews for these headphones and they seemed like a safe bet. I have gone through many brands and styles but I felt I was missing something. I own a pair of Bose over-the-ear headphones and they're very good, but not comfortable for long. These earbuds are very comfortable. The controls are easy and intuitive. The powered noise-cancelling bar is a little clunky but not too bad - it plugs into your mp3 player with a short cord. The sound is amazing. Highs and lows - good bass - excellent!

My favorite earbuds by far! The noise cancellation is such a great feature. These are a must for a flight. Flip the switch and it's just you and the music. Highly recommended.

These were a gift for my father in law. He unfortunately lost a pair on a flight (he travels often) and was very upset about it. But he loves these for flying. He says they sound great, stay in his ears well, and cancel out the plane noise. He does not travel without them.

Extremely high quality headphones. The sound is clear and powerful, and the headphones block out noise incredibly well.

RC plugs are susceptable to bending and Bose doesn't stand behind the product. I posted this poor review on Bose and they have chosen to not post the review. Good product, Terrible Customer Service Bought these about 6 months ago. While on the plane this past week, the RC jack got bent and I can only hear out of the left side. I called Bose, expecting an extremely high level of customer service from an extremely high quality product and high price. I was told they would exchange them for 50% cost of retail and I have to return the old ones. (I presume so they can repair and sell as manufactured refurbished.) Any other company with a product the caliber of Bose has told me in similar sitiuations, "We are so sorry, we will send you another pair immediately." Never have I been told I would have to pay for an exchange. BTW, I wasn't even offered the opportunity to repair them. I also had to pay for the exchange and return the old ones before they will send me the replacement. So, they are holding my money for a good 2-3 weeks!!!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.....WILL HAVE A HARD TIME EVER BUYING BOSE AGAIN.
