Used these on a recent flight and wont ever go on a flight without them. They do a great job cancelling out noise and the battery lasts a long time. Great quality and very comfortable.

These are great headphones. Very good quality sound with or without the noise cancellation, but the noise cancellation is AWESOME. I live with roommates, so when I don't want to be bothered, I throw on some tunes, turn on the NC and don't hear anything but my jams. These headphones also look really nice, and appear sturdy, and manufactured with quality in mind.

I purchased these headphones for an overseas trip. My first pair of noise-canceling headphones was left behind at a hotel during one of my trips so I knew I needed another set to replace it. It is such a welcome and comfortable way to mask not only the sound of jet engines but also any crying children on the same flight.

Noise canceling of these headphones are amazing. I fly a lot and have typically used other high-end headphones to drown out background noise, other passengers, etc. I put these on and all those sounds disappear, allowing me to listen to music or movies at a reasonable volume. And these are the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn. Worth the money!

Pretty expensive compared to your average 20 dollar pair of headphones but very worth it if you take long flights. I love this product. Superb quality and comfort. Just was on an 8 hour flight and they felt great the entire flight. I wish that this product was half the price but you have to pay for quality. Once you go Bose there is no turning back.

I've owned the previous version of these headphones and loved using them daily. I have already noticed some great improvements in the QC25 model. They are very comfortable and adjustable. The best improvement of the QC25 is the fact that you can listen to audio with AND without the noise cancellation feature enabled. The sound quality is excellent.

The batteries last quite a long time and there is a slot inside the case (assuming you always have that handy) to keep an extra AAA battery. I switched from the Beats Executive Edition Headphones, plain and simple the bass was more thick and deeper on the Beats than on the Bose. Overall clarity however the Bose is more my preference. The biggest positive for me was the comfort of the Bose vs the Beats. The Beats are more heavy especially if you are going to listen for a long time. I use headphones to study (future pharmacist) so I rely on efficiency and comfort and for me the Bose stands out.

I bought these to help kill the noise of others I sit next to, and the rumble of the jet engine while I fly. I fly often and when I turn these on I can not hear the jet rumble, not at take off or in the air. I mean as soon as I flip the switch on the side of the headphones it kills almost every noise around, I can barely hear the people next to me. I truly love the quality Bose delivers. I debated for a while between a few Beats, and Skull candy models, and forgive me because I can not remember what models I tried, it felt like every one though. I wasn't too concerned about the cost, so I wanted to make sure I looked and compared all the others to get the best quality for the money spent. Obviously I bought the Bose qc25 so I think these are the best, but here are a few notes of worth that I took into account about the other brands. The beats are heavy, and the "over the ear" isn't really over the ear at least for me. I would like to think my ears are normal size, but who is to say what is normal. Anyways it did go around my ears but they were squished in and they didn't sit in a natural position so I could tell if I had these on for say a 5 hr flight they would be hurting by the end. So beats were a no go. I did however like the wireless feature with noise canceling, but my main purpose for over the ear head phones are solely for air travel and cordless wasn't a deal breaker for me. Skull candy can be compared spec wise to the beats. Wireless, noise canceling, ect., but I would say had a much better price appeal ( almost half the cost ). However once I tried them on the same problem, my ears felt crammed in. So despite the excellent price tag and great look they just didn't work for me. Sony has a model and I can't remember what it's called, but I saw it at Costco right next to the Bose qc15, which happen to be a good set of headphones by the way I just did not like the look of them, anyways if I had not been on a quest to own Bose I would have bought those (Sony) because they were everything I wanted, great quality, "over my ear" comfort, noise canceling, wireless, the works. However this review is about the Bose qc25 so I will brag these headphone up and tell you they are very comfortable to wear, my ears fit with room to spare, they are light, soft, have great sound quality, and they come with a nice carrying case that I did not care about until wanted to stuff them in my carry on bag and not crush or break them. So in conclusion I'm truly happy with them and how well they fit and sound.

My son has autism and has always required specific headphones. They need to be comfortable, flexible and the ability to remove outside noise. He has been using these headphones for years. I’ve purchased another pair in the event his current pair need replacement. He is devastated if they aren’t at the ready.

I got these for my wife. We decided to purchase this because we were about to go on a long plane ride to Europe. While some noise will l naturally be heard they were amazing at drowning out a majority of the engine noise and even a crying baby. Only thing I wish is that I could get them with bluetooth so that I can cut the darn wire.

Recently purchased quietComfort 25 for a trip from Miami to London. Flew on a new 77w aircraft which is quite comfortable and quiet. However, once I put these on, the difference was unbelievable. No one should fly without them. At home they are fantastic if you are trying to get some work done and you have a house with children watching tv.

Bose makes outstanding headphones. I have tried others, but these are compact, cancel noise well especially on airplanes with screaming children and folks who talk too loud and comfortable. I wear them while I am studying in my room at the frat house and they work well.

I had purchased some other NC headphones, but they were bulky and heavy. These are lightweight and very comfortable to wear on long trips - which I make about four times a year. They fold flat and fit easily in my backpack. I like the fact that this set plays whether you are using NC or not. The only thing I don't like is that the bass is weakened when the NC is on. Otherwise, they are a great pair of headphones. I'm no audio expert, but I do love my music and these headphones really make traveling on the planes so much better.

I expected them to totally cancel noise. They don't. They help and certainly soften The cacophony. Home Office rule is if I have my headphones on don't bother me. My guess is that they will help on long flights. I tried them in the store. Brand was certainly part of purchase. I cannot tolerate ear plugs. These are better than zip. I'd suggest giving them a good try in the store, but recommend especially for comfort

These headphones are outstanding. the sound is so crisp and clear. It sounds just like the instruments. Bose definately goes out of their way to make sure sound is authentically reproduced. my only gripe with these headphones is they didn't include a rechargable battery like my husbands Quietcomfort 3's. They are also very comfortable.

My wife purchased these for me as a gift. I like these headphones as I use them every time I travel. They don't hurt the ears even after wearing them for 10 plus hours. I like that it uses AAA batteries vice the rechargeable one that came with some of Bose other noise cancelling head phones. Well worth the money if you travel a lot.

Very quiet, comfortable. Don't press on ears too hard so you can wear then for hours without issue. It would be nice if the battery was rechargeable because if you forget to turn the switch off the noise canceling piece, the battery will die. Not a huge deal since the headphones work without the noise canceling piece just fine.

These headphones really do cancel out the air plane noise but can still have conversation with my seat partner. Very glad I purchased a pair of over the ear headphones. I tried a pair of on the ear headphones but over is much more comfortable for long time use.

For now my rating is a 5 out of 5, I say this because I've known from others experience with Bose on-ear headsets they tended to break easy (don't remember which models, but I do know they weren't the QuietComfort 25. I know this for these break issues were from models a few years back) It's a bit pricey but still worth it to me (this is the most I've invested in any kind of headsets, my previous was roughly $130). As with any Bose products I find the sound quality to be awesome. However with the QuietComfort 25 it does use one AAA battery, and it's best to have these powered for max quality sound. I do love how these come with a detachable cord to be easily replaced if need be, as with previous Bose headsets that I have purchased (SoundTrue - in-ear) the cord wasn't detachable and after a year or so the cord started to deteriorate (which was/is terrible). With that said, the quality of the cord for the QuietComfort 25 seem to be more sturdier than the SoundTrue, being a thicker cord. Just in case, I'd probably (which I did) still purchase the 2-year replacement plan from Best Buy. I'll update my review if any issues arise.
