Overall happy with product, a little expensive and expected better sound quality but I guess you loose a little of this with noise canceling. Great for noisy areas or napping and blocking out kids. I wish there was an auto shut off after 4 hours on noise canceling so I wouldn't run batteries down when I forget to turn off.

Bought as a gift for my wife. She uses them daily to listen to books. The only downside is she can never hear when you are trying to speak to her with she's using the noise canceling feature.

I had borrowed a set of QuietComfort® 15 for a previous long distance flight, and was anxious to try the newer model. They did the noise cancelling job very well, as expected. I agree with a few other reviews that Bluetooth would be a welcome feature, but overall I was very pleased with the performance of these earphones. I am NOT an audiophile, so I won't speak to the finer points of sound quality, but they sounded great to my ears.

I use the Bose on a recent flight and what a difference. the jet engine noise was greatly reduced and yet with a push of the "button" i could hear a person. Excellent.

They do not block out ALL sound if you have really good hearing but if you add music or maybe sound of nature it will block out the sounds around you. We have a 2 year old that loves to scream when we are working at home and this is able to block out most of the sound of him so just imagine what it does in an office.

As advertised, these headphones will eliminate most of your background white noise. It won't eliminate every external noise (pitch/frequency) from the room, but that's probably by design. With respect to sound quality, I absolutely love it. It is amazing. One caveat is that to get the amazing sound quality you will need to turn on the noise cancellation. Without the active noise cancellation, the sound quality is terrible and not up the Bose acoustic standard. I wished the sound quality didn't drop so much when the noise cancellation is off. Bose, if you're reading, please improve the next model so that the sound quality doesn't drop so noticeably without the noise cancellation.

I tried really hard to like these headphones because they were very expensive. After about 15 hours of listening to various genres, I don't believe their mediocre performance justified their heavy rice tag. I'm reluctant to get the less-expensive wireless headphones, but I haven't decided against giving them a try. I'm also concerned about the durability of the headband material, which I'd best describe as suede. It absorbs sweat and whatnot, so it's important to clean them after each wear.

Sound quality is crisp and clear. Really comfortable to keep on hour long hours.

These are absolutely the best noise cancelling headphones available. Don't overpay for the name and marketing blitz. Just buy the Bose!

I was looking none Bluetooth headphones that were comfortable and sound suppression

This is not the State of the Art as far as Bose headphones are concerned. They are hardwired instead of wireless. However, if you are planning on using these headphones like me---in an airplane---they represent a great value. They perform just as well as the top of the line headphones that Bose makes but cost just a fraction of that model and in an airplane a wired headset makes a lot more sense.

The Bose QC25 Headset works great. Not only is the sound clear and full, but the noise cancellation is top-notch. I tried these out on a 12 hour flight and I'm glad I did. I didn't hear the engine roar and screaming kids in front of me were virtually blocked out too. It made it possible to sleep and relax. If for nothing else , the QC25s were worth it for that alone. On sale, a definite win!
