    Noise cancelling works great when playing the music. It will be better if it can still cancel the noise when no music playing.

    The noise reduction on these is amazing. Flip and switch and SILENCE. The sound quality is of music is much better than expected--bose has made real strides here. I'm very pleased--crying babies can't reach my ears now!

    Purchased these headphones for flying and am so glad I did. Almost completely masked the loud engine noise of the plane. Could actually hear the movies I watched without turning the volume too loud.

    When these headphones went on sale, I knew I had to snag them as a gift to my boyfriend. I have the wireless version for myself, and having tried the Sony competitors, I still prefer Bose. My only complaint is that these headphones can get a little pinch-y after a few hours, whereas the slightly newer model I notice this less so.

    Since I travel for work - I got tired of hearing that constant engine noise - when I started using these headphones, it's like being in a concert hall or a movie theater. Don't travel without them.

    We bought these for our drummer to use during our worship service so he could control what mix he was hearing. He LOVES them. They cancel all outside noise so he is only hearing what he wants to hear.

    These headphones are amazing. The ability to minimize the sounds around you when you want privacy or just want to concentrate is a great feature. The sound quality is great. This is the 3rd bose product that I owe.

    My first pair lost sound in one ear in about a year or so; kinda' expensive to not last that long. BUT, the new pair(had insurance) is even better!!

    I really like these headphones, they produce really clear vocals and highs. Bass is sufficient as well. The noise cancellation works well with low frequency noise...not as good at cancelling high frequency noise.
