    The noise cancellation on these is phenomenal. I purchased these for travel and I was not disappointed on the plane one little bit. Sounds great and you can count on them canceling out most other noises.

    I'll preface by stating the main reason I purchased these headphones was for the noise-canceling ability as well as the name Bose stands for. That being said, I was aware Bose headphones are not as loud as some of their competitors. I'm not a sound expert so I can't give specifics as far as mids/highs/lows, but these are definitely quality headphones.

    Great headphones. The wires are not a problem at all, in fact a plus on a plane. Great sound cancelling — now I can fly cheap airlines and not worry about noise around me, including the engines!

    These are the greatest. After years of service for my older pir, I treated myself to a new pair of Bose noise canceling headphones. 15hr flights and comfortable the entire time.

    Amazing, worth the money. These really work, even use it for driving on noisy roads without music, not sure if legal, but I can hear conversation better. Not sure how it works, it's magic, bought my wife one too!
