I also have a Bose QuietComfort 35 II ($350) that just came out and I like it very much (especially on the airplane it is absolutely silent). My wife took it and will not give it back, so I bought this one for myself since it was on a big sale. Other than the fact it's not wireless, the sound quality and noise canceling seem to be very similar. I am very happy with this product, although wireless could have been better in some situations. I like the fact I don't have to worry about charging it. AAA replacements are easy and I don't mind it at all.

I got a new job that requires a lot of travel and my boss asked if I had a pair of NC headphones yet. Unaware of what he meant, he handed me his pair of QC 15's and I was blown away. I looked for the 15's, but quickly realized the obvious choice was the 25's. The battery life is decent and the spare battery holder is key. The fact that you can even uses them when the battery dies is huge. It would be nice to have a little pocket for the cable like the 15's, but there is plenty of space to stash it in the case. If you travel more than twice a month on a plane then you NEED these. Def a game changer!

I bought these for my husband for his birthday. He had named these and two other things he wanted and I chose these thinking it was likely he would exchange for one of the other two items. (Earbuds or a fitbit). He opened them and immediately said, "sorry hun I'm leaning towards the earbuds." He wasn't even going to try these he was so certain he didn't want them anymore. On a whim he opened them and after one use decided to keep these. He had me try them too as he was so excited. I was blown away. I had no idea headphones could be so comfy and have such great sound. Now I want a pair!

I bought these headphones for one main reason - a trip to India with my extended family. I tried on several pairs of noise cancelling headphones in the store and these were by far the most comfortable (several other people in store agreed and also choose to purchase this product over less expensive headphones). They are lightweight and noise cancelling. The noise cancelling feature is so amazing, that my daughter had to tell me to stop shouting in the store, because I couldn't hear how loud I was speaking with them on my ears.

Couldn't pass up on the recent deal at Bestbuy on the Bose QC25. If you don't mind dealing with the wired setup, the noise cancellation is still unreal after all these years since the initial QC25 debut. At $160, this headphone is a steal and unless you are willing to spend a lot more, you are not going to find anything better for noise cancellation. And with the active noise cancellation, the audio quality is superb for this price range. Go try it at your local Bestbuy. I'm pretty sure you'll be walking out with one.

Bought this for my brother who frequently flies long distances (Europe/Asia/South America) for business purposes. Loves the headphones. He states that they are comfortable and he can hear music without increasing volume all the way up. He is not an audiophile so can't say much about music quality. But he says he definitely needs this on the long flights. Ordered online and picked up at store. Everything went smoothly. Price dropped a few days after purchase. Best Buy immediately matched the price when I put in a request.

I've owned Audio Technica and Sennheiser noise cancellation headphones before this pair and the Bose QC25's have improved the sound quality over the previous version. When compared to the other two makes, the Bose offer better noise cancellation and now have caught up in sound quality on the lower bass notes. Overall, the Bose is very comfortable to wear for long durations with the over ear foam cups. I wear glasses and the fit has not been too tight like some other makes that make long use painful. The cost is higher, but worth it if you can fit it into your budget.

We bought these headphones for my daughter (and the black pair for my son) to use on the airplane with their DVD players. They worked wonderfully! Both of our kids are Autistic and we wanted noise cancellation headphones since it can be pretty loud on airplanes. They fit their heads well (4 and 7 years old). They wore them without complaint and even requested them in the hotel room. My kids are used to wearing headphones for occupational therapy - we wouldn't have spent the money if we weren't sure they would wear them. These were light weight and did the job.

I received these phones as a replacement for the QC-1 set which I loved, but lost on a flight a few years ago. Couldn't tell how they'd compare from reviews, but am pleasantly surprised by the same top Bose Quality and seemingly more rugged design. Also I enjoy the smaller profile and the way they fold up in case. Noise cancelling is comparable to QC-1's and sound quality is excellent. I would have no hesitation recommending these to family/friends!

Bought two pair for an overseas flight—so mostly interested in noise cancellation and secondarily in fidelity. Got what I expected: very good noise cancellation and decent sound, not as good as my audiophile earbuds or headphones but good enough to enjoy thoroughly while the background is largely silenced. Have not taken the trip yet, but testing in noisy environment confirms these deliver. I like that the cord detaches in case you just want to kill the ambient noise without listening to any input. Would buy again. Just be sure to fully seat the cord plug into the headset; I thought for a while I had a loose connection in the headphones themselves. Nope, just needed a harder push to seat the plug into its jack. Also I should mention that the comfort far exceeded my expectations—very nice to wear.

I own a pair of QC3, QC15 and QC20 and now these QC25 and these are the best. I have used them on coast to coast flights and they are more quiet and far more comfortable than the previous versions. Add to that the compact size to which they fold and they are my favorite. If I have to choose my favorite feature it is the comfort. I cannot wear the others for more than 2 hours at a time, but have no problem wearing these for the entire 5 1/2 flight. BTW, I also own a pair of Beats Studio and prefer the Bose due to clarity of sound.

I was pleasantly suprised with the sound quality on these headphones but also the noise canceling/isolation feature. When you have this turned on the background noise is completely gone. It's honestly a night and day difference on an airplane. My co-worker bought a set too off my recommendation to him and when he got back to the States; he said,'I thought the jet stopped working when I put this on because I didn't hear a thing'. That sums it up! The only thing that I wish that could be different is a Bluetooth option on these.

Ok. Flying for 30 years and have tried several lower cost solutions, both in ear and over ear for noise canceling. These Bose are worth it. Period. Now foldable and work even when battery is dead. They have overcome any remaining shortcomings. Wish I had not waited so long and hope I don't leave them on the plane.

I like Bose!! All headphones and speakers I own are Bose. They feel comfortable and sound great!! I travel a lot so these are perfect! I tried the Beats by Dre and they're just WAY too big and sound was just not that great. I feel like I'm going to DJ a party with them. The only upside, it's half the price of Bose but I promise you will hear and feel the difference between the both. BTW...triple black is really nice touch!

I have a couple of noise canceling headphones, basically just for airplane travel. I typically use my Velodyne nose canceling headphones because of the comfort and it's canceling ability. Both are about the same price, when not on sale. The Bose headsets are extremely comfortable, the canceling ability is amazing and even if the battery runs out, you can still listen to music. The headset does need about 50-100 hours of run time, to allow the drivers to break in. The sound quality is great out of the box and it just gets better with age.

I upgraded to this model from the Q15 prior to a long flight to Europe. The battery lasted all the way there and back, probably 15 hours of usage. The new design is much slimmer and the folding makes for a more compact case, which was my only complaint of the Q15. Sound quality is what I expected from Bose. The noise canceling is awesome but the bass is a bit flat.

When you spend top dollar on anything, you expect quality. The moment I opened the box, I knew I purchased a quality product. The case has a built-in slot for an extra AAA battery. I like that Bose thought of a little detail like that. The sound quality is amazing and the Noise-cancelling feature works so well. I played around with switching the noise cancelling feature on and off. You can really hear the difference. I love this purchase a lot. I will always buy Bose products from now on.

Noise on plane is a big problem for those who fly for long time, and one can experience the difference in a BestBuy shop, I convinced myself in buying it after tried it out. Even in a more silent place, like at home, the headphones have an immediate effect when turned on which makes you feel the whole world have stopped and quiet down. I'm using rechargeable batteries and they last for quite long -- longer than I expected. The only dissatisfaction from me is that there is not an indicator that tells you how long will the battery be able to support. This is minor, however, because even without the noise cancellation the over ear design itself would block a good portion of noise from outside, too! This helped me quite a bit in keeping focused with what I'm working on or when seeing a movie during flight, and I would definitely recommend to a friend.

I researched these online with other reviews and also tested them in Best Buy. They were well worth the effort! I compared these to Beats noise canceling and found the Bose QuietComfort had cleaner sound and much better noise canceling. I found the Bose more comfortable as well. Since purchase, I have taken several flights and have considered them a great investment for my sanity due to fantastic noise canceling (no whining/screaming children noise) with the ability to hear my favorite music like I've heard it for the first time.
