I researched these online with other reviews and also tested them in Best Buy. They were well worth the effort! I compared these to Beats noise canceling and found the Bose QuietComfort had cleaner sound and much better noise canceling. I found the Bose more comfortable as well. Since purchase, I have taken several flights and have considered them a great investment for my sanity due to fantastic noise canceling (no whining/screaming children noise) with the ability to hear my favorite music like I've heard it for the first time.

This is probably the best OTE I have ever used. The noise cancelling feature is amazing and the headphone is super comfy and lite to use.

I had the Beats by Dre Pro edition before these headphones and it was definitely worth the switch. These headphones are way more comfortable and better sound I believe. Don't get me wrong the beats were great headphones but the pro edition would get kind of heavy after a little a bit time. The bose wins by comfortability, price, and quality of sound.

Excellent Sounds, great battery life, super comfortable for long duration! Overall just another amazing product from Bose's lineup!

I had been wanting some over the ear headphones for a while. For about 100 more than the next name brand pair, I feel like I've gotten the best sound available. Very comfortable for extended (3+ hours) wearing. Surprisingly good bass response (not earth shattering, but clean) and they cancel so much noise while listening to music that it's like being in my own little concert. Definitely worth every penny.

Bose headphones have outstanding sound, the noise reduction works really well, they are comfortable and the battery life is good.

Bose has a long history of making great noise cancelling earphones, and these qualify right up there. Plus the audio quality is very good. I use them at the gym where they often insist on keeping the room speakers up playing loud music. The Bose QC earphones just cancel all this and the sound from the machines also. Best Buy had a great holiday price so I couldn't resist temptation. I'm looking forward to the time I can use them on an airplane and ride in silence.

Easily the best headphones you'll ever own--hands down! Once again Bose proves that they are the best in audio. My previous Bose QC 2s lasted me eight years until they were sadly mishandled and broke; although they still sounded as great as the day I bought them. A few upgrades in features, design, and the case: a perfect example of Bose's relentless commitment to excellence. Well worth the cost, but don't take my word for it--do the research and listen for yourself. There is no comparison...not even close!

I bought these for the noise canceling and they are even better than I expected. The sound is great, the noise cancellation is the best I have ever experienced, and they are by far the most comfortable headphones I have used. AND, they use a AAA battery instead of requiring recharging. The also function (without noise cancelation) without a battery. I much prefer carrying a spare AAA battery instead of having to recharge them. I highly recommend these phones.

These just keep getting better. If you've not tried noise-canceling headphones this is a great place to start. Plane travel is suddenly relaxing and comfortable without the engine drone. Even just listening to music at home is more enjoyable without the surrounding distractions. I'm certainly not an audiophile, so if someone wants to criticize the impurity of a noise-canceling system, go right ahead. They're still incredibly enjoyable and comfortable. Well worth the price, especially if you do any air travel.

Just like all reviews have been saying, Bose did it right because this noise cancellation is by far the best. The quality of sound is also excellent with a well rounded sound so you can listen to many different types of music and it covers them all well. I purchased the beats studio wireless and the noise cancellation was OK but the bass was turned up so high that it distorted sound when listening to non bass heavy music. I'm no audiophile but I still returned them for these Bose headphones.

Cannot praise these enough. Have bought 7 pairs total for the entire family. You have to listen real close to hear the engine while on an airplane. Beats and Sony does not even compare. Now, you are not getting brain shattering bass but a nice clean sound on either music or movies with enough bass to get the effect. If have heard any Bose products you will not be disappointed with this purchase.

As good as I have experienced for noise cancelling headphones with fine fidelity and excellent comfort. Hoping they prove to be reliable over the long term. One disturbing warning sign was at check out and addressing optional extended warranty protection, the clerk said the left side going out is a known problem. I declined the protection since I won't be using these daily, but I hope this warning wasn't based on actual repeated unit failures.

Love the superb noise canceling capabilities. Had to purchase a separate in line mic and controller to work with my Android devices. Other than that, well worth the price tag. Very confortable to wear for extended periods of time. I use it study in my very noisy and busy home office with kids playing in the background. The noise canceling in this unit makes all the background noise disappear. I chose these over Dre Beats and Samsung Level, which were the other products I was considering.

Bought these to replace my Bose headphones that were stolen! This is the newer version and I prefer them! Stow away nicely in their case for traveling and fitting in my travel bag.The noise canceling feature makes being on a plane flight tolerable and my tunes sound well balanced. My only gripe is that I wish they were louder, but my ears are a bit blown out from drumming! I guess it's a "safety" feature, but I really love them and are comfortable to wear during extended periods!

Was looking for some ANC headphones for work, study and the occasional travel. Wanted something with good ANC, sound quality and comfort. Saw the QC25s marked down to more than half their original MSRP and decided to take them for a test drive. There's a lot to like about these headphones. First, Bose's Active Noise Cancellation technology is second to none! It just works. Initially, it did put some slight pressure on my ears, however, the pressure is much less noticeable once you actually start playing music or watch a movie. You can certainly just use the ANC on these headphones without any actual audio playback, just be warned, there might be some slight discomfort. I would consider this pressure equivalent to needing to pop your ears. The sound signature is pretty neutral. You really get a nice beautiful and clean sound profile. There's not a ton of bass on these and I wish they were just a bit louder in volume, however, I also own Beats Solo 2s and I can tell you that after hearing the Bose, I actually prefer the more neutral sound vs. Beats overemphasized bass. Sound quality quickly deteriorates if you use the set without ANC turned on or if the AAA battery runs out. Has sort of a muffled sound. Just not good for a headphone even at the sale price of $169. In terms of comfort, they are super lightweight. Feel fantastic and premium. The synthetic leather ear cushions are a dream. Be prepared to listen to these for hours without even realizing they're on your head. At $169 or less, these headphones are most certainly worth it! In the end, I returned these and opted for the QC35 II's. For me, I found the extra features of the QC35s as well as the slightly more colorful sound signature both with ANC on/off to be a worthy upgrade.

Best noise canceling, great overall fidelity. None better in the $200 - $400 range. Comfortable. Portable. Smart case.

I had the original Bose headsets and was very happy for years as the sound was terrific and they were llightweight. I wanted to upgrade to a new headset so I looked at Beats and Bose. I believe the Bose headsets are superior and cost competitive. They are not as trendy but it doesn't get any better. An important aspect for me traveling by plane constantly and for long durations, the headsets are light weight which allows you to wear them for longer periods with ease of wearing.

Fit over the ear nicely. The noise canceling works great. Much better quality than other brands.
