Used them recently on flights to/from Jamaica. The noise cancelling on them is fantastic. The bluetooth connects easily and is the quickest bluetooth pairing of any device I've seen. Lightweight, comfortable, great battery life. Plan to buy a second pair for my wife before our next flights in June.

I bought my husband a pair of these headphones for his birthday, and he loves them so much that I got a pair for myself in time for our anniversary trip. What a great investment! They really shield you from the ambient noise, and they make it so much easier to hear your phone/media player. I took a red-eye, and they really helped me sleep on the plane. They are very comfortable to wear, and the sound quality is great. I can't recommend these highly enough.

These Bose noise-canceling headphones are great for those who want to escape into their own world. While they don't truly cancel out ALL noise, they come pretty close! I even use these at the gym while I'm on the elliptical machine and other people have the gym's loudspeakers cranking out musi I don't want to hear. That's how good they are. And the cord is long enough so I can stick my iPhone in my pocket while exercising. I have a very eclectic music taste, and I find that it has been pretty sweet with all of my genres--from bluegrass to rock to singer/songwriter to jamband to funk to live music to reggae to blues. With rap music, it almost reaches its limit of being able to handle the bass, though. Overall, a great product!

I bought these because I have a few coworkers that have the QuietComfort 25 or the earlier version and swear by them. It is always shocking to take them off because of how loud the AC and water fountain are at my office. Sometimes I'll just put them on with no music just to cut the noise. My only complain would be short battery life... especially If you leave them on overnight. They sound great, mostly comfortable and cut out most office noise.

After trying them on in the store I was sold! I tried on a few, but I found the sound was fantastic, the fit over the head and ears was perfect. They are a good size and great for travel. To be fair, I am not an expert in high quality sound systems, so someone else may have a different view on sound quality. A rep for Sony in the store mentioned that they may not be as good in he very highs or lows. But from the moment I put them on my mind was made up!!

I've tried enough noise canceling headphones to feel qualified to give Bose a sincere thumbs up! Some over the ear headphones are good at keeping outside noise levels low, but they were not comfortable. I can wear these headphones for extended periods of time (mostly during plane travel) and barely know they are there. The cost is higher. However, it would have been cheaper if I bought Bose first and didn't waste money trying less expensive brands.

I was leaning towards the wireless and noise cancelling Beats by Dre...but wanted to try these out in the store before making a purchase. Ever though these are not wireless, I opted for them for the sound quality and comfort. The Beats were much bulkier and a bit heavier...and my old pair of headphones were Beats, so this wasn't an easy decision. But, Bose is top notch and the noise cancelling feature was a must...very happy with the purchase.

The headphones fit perfectly and comfortably over my ears and the sound quality is amazing. The noise cancelling feature is the only thing that you use the battery for - I mention this because I was confused at first by the product description. It still works without a battery, just not the noise cancelling feature. And as far as how well the noise cancelling works, I would say it works pretty well. My girlfriend says it feels weird on her ears when the noise cancelling function is on, but I use it all the time when trying to focus for studying and I've found it very helpful. I'd suggest trying it out in-store before getting it if you're looking for noise cancelling headphones and you've never had a set before.

These headphones do exactly what it says in the name. They cancel all acoustic noise or in other terms all background noises but they are not truly noise canceling. This means you can hear people talking around you and other out of the blue noises. In addition the amount you can hear them also depends on how loud you play your music. Just to let those who want silence around other that make noise, know what they do. Even with this they are still great headphones. They are really comfy, have great sound quality, and are phenomenal for long trips on the road or in the air.

My BOSE Noise Cancelling Headphones are comfortable and offers great sound quality. I listen to classical music as well as rock and the music quality is awesome. I purchased both the wireless and the wired sets after being very disappointed with the sound quality of the Dre Beats - these are nothing more than marketing to people who care about looking cool but not worried about sound quality. BOSE are for cool people who want sound quality.

Very comfortable and easy to wear for long periods of time. Noise cancelling feature works remarkably well. I tried it while using my super loud vacuum and it made it so much better. I also like the fact that you can use it without the battery to just listen to music with the noise cancelling feature. Other headphones won't work at all if the battery dies.

I fly weekly and needed headphones to block out conversation and snoring on flights. These headphones block the background engine noise and snoring and mute conversation so that I can work or sleep on the flight. They are designed so that I still hear the cabin announcements. They perform exactly as I hoped they would and are comfortable to wear. The only potential downside is they might mess up your hair, but that is not a concern for me.

As usually Bose has made a very solid product. The noise cancellation is excellent, sound quality is always above average on Bose equipment, and the look and feel are very good. These fit comfortably on the ears and they look good as well. Bluetooth works great. My only problem with Bose and it's not just this product, it is price. Bose makes very good products that are usually above average but I would never put them in the high fidelity quality category but they continue to price themselves that way. $300 is a bit high for a pair of headphones that are not of high fidelity sound, plus no Bluetooth. But overall this is a very good product, if you don't mind the price, you won't be disappointed in them.

After testing between 10-15 headphones, I took a chance and bought these (my very first). I was drawn to BOSE because of their reputation and after using them I was not disappointed. Great price, amazing sound, superb comfort. Yes, yes and yes!

I have never owned a Bose product before and always thought they were expensive and not worth the price. I have to admit these headphones sound amazing! They totally drown out the external noises around you, and have a deep rich sound to them! The build quality is very good and are very comfortable to wear. I had no problem wearing them for a couple of hours straight. I would recommend these especially if they are on sale!

I found the headphones to be comfortable and easy to wear for long periods. The around-the-ear design is very good at blocking out ambient noise. Unlike previous models the QC 25 can be used with without noise cancelling and when the battery is depleted. Music reproduction is outstanding without being too bassy or too tinny. Sound was best when powered but still acceptable when not. I would highly recommend these headphones to others.

I travel frequently (>100k last year) and these headphones are the best I have ever used. Comfort is great for extended periods of time and noise isolation makes the journey much more pleasant. Noise cancellation is easily noticeable even without music playing through. Def recommend to anyone that wants some peace and quiet on a flight.

I just bought my 3rd pair within last 5 years or so. Not because of any fault of the product, but because I travel a lot on planes and I lost the two previous pair – one in the trunk of a cab and the other somewhere unknown. The reason I keep buying them is because they are excellent headphones. And of course for the noise-cancellation. A bit pricey perhaps, but the noise-cancellation feature alone is worth every penny. Like many headphones, they are not built like a tank and although I've never had any of my pairs break in any way, they do feel a little...delicate. So if you plan to be rough with them, be advised, and treat them like you would your iPhone 6+. IMO if you travel on planes, they are a must-have. Sometime I wear them without any audio on at all. Just wear them (w noise-cancellation on) to block out the noise. I also record a lot of vocal audio and for me they're indispensable for isolating and listening to only what you're recording during interviews. But don't forget to throw an extra AAA battery in the carrying case. If you forget to turn them off when you're finished (like I do sometimes), and they stay on for days, the battery will run down. The headphones will still work, you just can't activate the noise-cancelling feature. One last note, with the noise-cancellation feature ON, you can't hear much of anything that's happening outside of the headphones. I would definitely not wear them while driving a car. With music coming through them, you would not hear an ambulance approaching. The noise-cancelling is that effective.

These have been great for me, and have remained comfortable wearing them for long periods of time. I haven't travelled on a plane yet, but don't doubt they'll get the job done when I do. So far, they've worked great in a relatively noisy office environment, to eliminate distractions and allow me to enjoy my music. Even to just block out noise, they work great. They were expensive, but don't regret the purchase at all.
