I've used noise canceling headphones before and found the "noise-canceling" feature really didn't work. These headphones are not only comfortable with good audio quality but the noise canceling ACTUALLY works. Well worth the cost.

I had the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds before getting these. The earbuds worked well, but the volume control stopped working. While still under warranty, I was able to get the Quietcomfort 25 Acoustic iOS Headphones. These work very well. I wear them primarily when working in the yard on a lawn tractor and other mortorized tools. This really helps keep the lawnmower noise under control and enables me to enjoy music at the same time. If you are looking for professional sounding headphones, then you may need to try out headphones without the noise cancelling. Just remember, they probably won't work very well in a very noisy environment. I had in the past used headphones designed for acoustic drummers and they did not do the trick. These work. And one more thing, the cord with the volume controls is replaceable.

I bought these to use on a 12 hour flight. They fit perfectly over my ears and caused no pain. They cancelled out a lot of noise so I was able to sleep. Great sound for the on flight movies and my music. Very happy with my purchase!
