These headphones are great for noise blocking, and for listening to music. One great improvement over the previous model, is that you can still listen to music if the battery goes dead. The sound isn't quite as dynamic without the noise cancelling, but at least you can still use them. I love these when I'm studying, on a plane, or any other time I need to block unwanted noise.

I was torn between 4 & 5 stars. I almost gave up on Bose after the last set of NC headphones. They were good, but not worth the price (3 stars). They seemed to fix a lot of the issues. They are more comfortable, like the case more, seem more durable, cable is sturdier, and seem to have cleaner sound. The only complaint so far is that the first ones went bad on 2nd week, but Best Buy was quick to replace them.

These headphones are as advertised. While they are on the more expensive side they work great. They are comfortable with soft plush ear covers. The sound is excellent and I have heard some subtle things I never picked up with my ear buds before. And the noise cancelling is a godsend for those long airline flights.

Returned the Beats Studio Wireless for the Bose QC 25 because of the noise cancelling. Much clearer and more quiet than the Beats. Both headphones have excellent sound quality, however, I favored the Bose for their more natural sound. The Bose are also a lot more comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

These headphones have really good sound. To be honest I do not use the noise cancelling feature. I dj a lot and I like the mix. The headphones already dial down the outside noise just by being over the ear. I also didn't want a bluetooth pair due to dj'ing. The last thing I need is for stuff to not pair correctly, even for a second, or pause because other potential devices are around. I have already used these at 2 major events, local ones, and just walking around. I must confess I liked my last pair better (but I couldn't find those anywhere anymore, granted I got those close to 10 years ago), but I will not be looking to replace these until they break.

These are simply the best headphones I've ever owned. The sound quality is amazing. Bass could be a little deeper, but its something that I can live without. The noise canceling feature is where these headphones get all my praise. Listening to anything on a plane has always been difficult for me, but not with these. You simply flip the switch and boom, silence. The carrying case is great too.

Bose does not let you down with these headphones. The sound quality for music and movies is something I've never experienced with headphones and there was absolutely no outside noise when in use. They are soft on my ears and do not seem bulky when they're on. Great purchase and would recommend them to anyone.

Bought this pair of headphone to get some peace and quiet while studying. Worked as intended and I was able to stay focused. Battery life is solid but i love that I can use the headphone even when battery is dead.

I had already purchased a headset for my travels a few months ago. I like the sound quality and the noise cancelling is really good. They are quite comfortable on those long multi-hour flights. I like them so much, I got a pair for my wife for Christmas. She loves her QC25s! Yes, they are a little on the expensive side. But I only splurge once in a great while and this was worth it.

Bose continues to "Beat" the rest of the headphone competitors, hands down. Best all-around sound, most comfortable design, and easiest to use and store peripheral sound system for any music player on the market.

I’ve had many headphones over the years, but the Bose quiet comfort 25 are the most comfortable and best sounding headphones I’ve ever owned. The noise canceling is amazing, and really lets you listen to every fine detail in the music. My only gripe is no Bluetooth, but these were on sale, and had to try. And besides, that’s what the 35 models are for.

This is my third Bose item in the past twenty years, and they all still work, and they all sound better than the competition. Well made, durable, the 'quiet' switch drowns out annoying co-workers and yippy dogs, so three thumbs up, if I had three thumbs.

Does everything it states it does and does it well. My daughter uses them at college to filter out noise and voices so she can concentrate, which is sometimes difficult when you have two roommates. They have also worked well on both an airplane and a train and are very comfortable to wear. She would recommend them for anyone who is looking for noise cancelling earphones,

Comfortable to wear, reasonable sound, and great noise cancelling for airplanes. Well built and durable with great battery life. Not quite audiophile headphones but for the money very good sound quality. Purchased them for air travel and they did exceptional. Better sound than predecessors and the other 7 sets of headphones I have owned and used over the past 20 years.

I've had a pair of QC25's for a couple years and use religiously when I travel (flights) and mowing the yard. They are comfortable and do quiet the surrounding environment significantly. Sometimes, I just have them on without music just to have a time of quiet rest. I've enjoyed these so much I bought these for those I work with everyday.

Quiet- noise cancelling. Lightweight and comfortable to wear. Bose delivers high quality sound. I will continue to buy BOSE speakers. They are worth it.

I bought the QC25 as a replacement for my old QC15. I travel a lot and I am extremely pleased with noise cancellation feature of the headphone. New features that I like about the new QC25 are the smaller carrying case and the adaptive controller for Apple devices with inline mic/remote. And I still like the convenience to use a AAA battery to power this headphone.

I own the Bose Triport headphones, now discontinued which are not near as comfortable as the Quiet Comfort 25. I bought these to use at work, the comfort and sound is incredible. They fit nice around my ears and the padding makes them good to wear all day. The noise cancelling is excellent. Good bass as well. I love these headphones.

These were purchased for plane use, and they work exactly as intended. I'm not extremely technical, but these have two ways of blocking out exterior noise: 1. Over-the-ear headphones will physically block out some level of noise. 2. The noise cancelling feature uses a microphone, technical stuff, it creates a "noise" that cancels out the outside noise. Because of the use of the microphone to determine said noise, it takes a second of noise to know how to cancel it out. This is relevant because I (a novice) tried them at Best Buy and could still hear random noise (I expected everything to be cancelled out). A plane, with constant noise, is perfect for these. A loud, random bang will still be heard. This isn't an issue, just note that if you're on the fence and similarly tried them on at Best Buy and wonder if they actually work well, they do. They drown on most outside noise wonderfully.

These Bose headphones are a great product. The noise cancellation works great. They are very comfortable for long periods of use. I use them to get rid of all the engine noise on the airplane during travel. I would recommend them to anyone who travels regularly. I would give two recommendations to Bose, first I would improve the packaging and second provide some sort of cable management. These headphones are a premium product, work like a premium product, but are not packaged like one. Packaging leaves something to be desired, feels like buying a cheap knockoff.
