Very slight distortion heard on the first 5 beats of the song "Happy" from Pharrell. A very few other songs slightly distort here and there. Everything else sound-wise is very good. The noise canceling is great - airplane rides become much more enjoyable with the lack of deafening engine drone. Compact case is easy to store in computer bag. Secret battery storage for back up battery was a good idea.

not used to the quality of Bose my son 15 tried them on for the first time and I knew right away by his eyes that he had just put on something better something new how a long time fan of Beats By Dre he now craves for me to trade imy Bose or buy him some. Its like being in a sound room so clear so pure so "quiet".

Not just for the obvious reasons, but if you fly a lot or even at all, these headphones are a must for canceling noise and interference just so you can get some peace on a plane. It's wonderful for plugging in and watching movies and not being disturbed. As a matter of fact, if you want to hear anyone clearly you need to take them off. But that's a good thing. I really like mine and wouldn't trade them for anything. Bose is a trusted name and I've had two pair for different reasons and neither of them broke, they're still working. You won't be sorry with this pair of headphones.

Researched a number of articles on over the ear headphones to find a cost effective product that provided great sound isolation for noisy environments (airline travel, office environments). This product was highly recommended and upon my initial use of this product it is everything it was claimed to be.
