These things are awesome!! You can choose to cut out all the background noise or if you want to be more aware of your surroundings you can turn the noise canceling off. The sound these put out is mind blowing. They sound unbelievably clear on highs and lows.

I bought these for multiple cross country and trans Atlantic flights and they are amazing at reducing engine and hvac noise.

These are wonderful and I have mainly used them on flights from the east coast to the west coast. I love the ability to relax and cut out the airplane and passanger noise. Can listen to music or movies much easier than with earbuds I was using previously.

I bought that Bose noise cancelling ear phone just Before a trip overseas. The flight lasted 13hours and the phone really worked wonders in helping me sleep. I also really enjoyed the rich sound when watching movies inflight.

These headphones are unbelievable the sound is great and when your listening to music you absolutely here no outside noise...nothing but the sound coming from headphones... GREAT HEADPHONES!!!!

The noise canceling feature is great. They are comfortable on my ears!!

I tried the Bose noise canceling headphones at Best Buy that were on display. I knew when these went on sale I wanted them. They're amazingly clear. But one of the reasons I wanted to use them also, was with my Samsung S8+. But i didn't know that the inline controls didn't work with the S8+, so that is why only 4 stars. Other than that, these are amazing headphones!

If you fly, these will revolutionize the way you think about your travel experience. Excellent sound and great noise canceling. They can't cut every external noise, but you'll be able to hear every part of the music. They are expensive, but worth it.

Great sound and clarity. I never sleep on planes but these blocked out so much of the plane noise and add a little classical music and my flight to Peru was spent most of the time snoozing.

My main reason for spending so much on these headphones was because I needed something that would eliminate all the noise around me while I was studying. These headphones do just that. The quality sound and cute appearance were added bonuses!

It doesn't matter if I am sitting in the office, my living room or in an airplane, the sound of the headphones is always the same. It's just unbelievable how good they are, when it comes down to noise cancelling. I will never ever fly without them.

I bought these for traveling on a small plane where the noise is beyond my comfort level, these headsets are everything they advertise, great sound and great noise reduction. I would recommend to anyone needing both noise reduction and great audio

My husband has Bose Noise Canceling headphones and I used them for a trip recently. You don't hear the crying baby, fighting kids or the engine noise from the plane! I was so impressed that I purchased my own set! Overall, I love these headphones!!!

Having had the Bose QuietComfort 15 headphones, I was curious to see how these 25s would do. In terms of noise canceling, they are at least as good as the 15s. They do a fine job of tuning down low noises such as background jet engine noise on a plane, engine noise on a ferry, or a nearby lawn mower. They aren't quite as effective with higher-pitched sounds (like the human voice), but still better than anything else I've seen. Sound quality is as good as or slightly better than the 15s overall. The 25s feel comfortable and surprisingly light. Battery life seems a bit better with the 25s. You can listen to music with the power turned off, but it's not that pleasant an experience. To get what you paid for, turn the headphones on! The QC15's were the best noise canceling headphones around. The 25s have just edged the 15s out for the crown.

not really sure why Apple and other stores promote those Beats headphones so much when they dont even compare to this Bose headphones, I already did the homework for you and tested them, save yourself sometime and get his pair, wont regret it!

Bought these for my wife for Xmas. She hates to fly, and she has been travelling a lot for her new job. So I bought these for her to hopefully help, and after her latest trip, she said they were great and they helped out a lot in pushing out the noise. You can use them with or without the noise-cancelling function, and she used them to listen to music and to watch movies. Only 1 battery needed, and the case actually has a spot to store either an extra battery, or take out the existing battery and store it.

Fantastic headphones. With the noise canceling feature, you can actually listen to your music or movies at a lower level while hearing everything more clearly - even in a loud environment.
