If you use it more frequently, it will last less than a year. It's sad for such an expensive headset.

They start to deteriorate and crack yearly. Luckily I located a off brand replacement set that I just ordered to hopefully be able to replace the original Bose pads. Bose has refused to warranty or replace their ear pads. I have stopped purchasing Bose headphones.
