These were purchased about two years ago. Sound good but a little uncomfortable. Ear cushions came apart and foam began coming out. I did an internet search and this is apparently a common problem. Never have had headphones fall apart like these did. Replaced them with another brand and last I saw them the garbage truck was taking them to the landfill.

These headphones are my first-ever Bose product, so I was shocked to find the old adage "no highs, no lows, must be Bose" is true -- everything that plays through these things sounds absolutely flat, with no real discernible "depth" of sound. Highs are subdued, and lows are mushy. Bass-heavy songs feel like they're missing range, giving out more of a thud than a thump. DO NOT buy these headphones if your primary concern is audio quality. While I'm very disappointed with the quality of the sound, I'm happy to say the excellent noise cancellation in the QuietComforts is easily the best I've ever used. If it's not sitting right next to you when you turn noise cancellation on, you won't hear it. It's unfortunate that having NC enabled seems to slightly affect audio quality, but the audio quality sucks anyway, so no big loss there. Feature-wise, the QuietComforts have the standard round of features you'd usually find in other overpriced headphones, but you're forced to use a phone app if you want to use the vast majority of the features. Not only that, plugging these headphones into a jack automatically turns off some of those same features (essentially leaving you with a bog-standard pair of headphones with no way to change the NC level), so if you plan on using these in place of wired cans, I'd suggest you look for a pair that aren't Bose. Overall, I'm relatively happy with the QuietComforts. I just wish they sounded as good as my $60 pair of wireless Oontz Budz. Or any of my other headphones, for that matter.

This review is comparing to the original sc35. Those were my favorite headphones, when they needed to be replaced i bought these thinking it was an upgrade. Battery doesnt last very long, the cord doesnt work on airplane. Which is when i use these. Bluetooth is nice, but should have stuck with the original.

The Bose® - QuietComfort 35 headphones are excellent in cancelling "white noise", and the over the ear seal reduces other noises as well, You'll have a great excuse for ignoring your co-workers and missing phone calls. The sound quality is top notch.

When using in wired mode, the buttons on the headset are rendered useless. Wired mode is necessary when using a splitter to share sound with your travel partner. Unless of course you have two sets of Bose wireless headsets. They can link to one another for devices that don't allow simultaneous output to two bluetooth devices. The software is also rendered useless in wired mode. They're great for a single person traveling, but did not fit my needs. Returned and waiting for the new Sony XM3.
