Still going!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had these for over 4 years and they continue to be great! The only thing that is wearing/tearing are the earbud covers. It should be a simple fix. They are a lovely color and very easy to connect to any bluetooth device!

Never going back
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these headphones to replace a pair of Beats or comparable price I was never completely satisfied with. These blew those Beats out of the water. Full and rich sound with great clarity as expected with Bose. These are also EXTREMELY comfortable and light. Other cups have hurt my ears after extended use. Not these.

Great headphones, expensive but worth the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had these since May 2018. Only had to replace the ear pads due to heavy use and then falling apart. Other than that, sound quality has never diminished and the battery hasn’t wavered. Would buy again

Very good, but does not like wind.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent noise reduction, clear/deep sound, charge lasts all day. They can get rather warm, so if you use them outdoors on a warm day (or even in a warm house or airplane), have something to wipe them down. Also, wind noise is an issue, so don't plan on using them outdoors on windy days or if riding in a boat, etc.

Worth the money!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve tried them both in a shop and Bose are a lot more comfortable, light, durable, with a lower profile in my opinion, without all the superfluous features that Sony has. The simplicity of the bose‘s features, both the familiar headphone control and the in app features, allow for a lot higher affordance. I don’t need my headphones the Analyse the surrounding air or whatever and supply me with excessive adjustable settings. The boses are great for extended periods of use when traveling or in day to day use.

Bose Knocks It Out of the Park
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use noise-cancelling headphones to listen to Mozart while I read and work to drown out distractions. I had high expectations for Bose, but I wasn't super impressed after my first few hours of working. They sound great, but some sounds were still leaking through (the jingle of a dog collar, for example). But after a couple hours of work I took them off to take a break and realized that people were doing construction literally right on the other side of my office wall in my apartment complex, and I had been completely unaware of it! I'm sold. These things work as well as any I've ever used, and like all Bose products, the speakers are impeccable.

Awesome Headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased these. I think the sound is really good, especially for hip/hop and pop. The bass is really good and has good detail. I attached it to a headphone amp which makes it sound even better. The noise cancellation is ok, not the best anymore. I returned a pair of the Sony X3’s for these, which definitely had a lot better NC. If you’re getting headphones just for the NC I would get those instead. But I love the sound of these more. Only thing these things aren’t good for is classical music. Hard to hear details in the sound and have to crank up the volume to full blast to enjoy it. Kinda disappointing because I listen to classical more than other genres. But everything else is satisfactory. Bose really needs to up the NC, add USB-C, batttery life, and update the design in the next version. Starting to look older now compared to sleek headphones on the market.

An excellent pair of ANC, wireless headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bose has faced serious competition over the years since releasing their QC25 and first generation QC35 headphones. Sony has stepped up and is now the undisputed king of ANC headphones. Their flagship mark III headphones do have better noise cancelling than Bose by a measurable amount. They also offer USB-C charging, longer battery life, and Google Assistant integration (just like Bose). So why did I go with the CQ35ii headphones? Comfort. Above all, the QC35ii headphones are still the most comfortable pair of over-the-ear ANC headphones on the market. The competition aren't bad but Bose's design, albeit dated, is still extremely comfortable. I can wear these for hours on end without my ears touching the inside of the headphones or getting too hot. There's plenty of ventilation so sweat doesn't build up yet audio doesn't creep out unlike Beats headphones. Bose does offer other advantages too. They updated the headphones to integrate Alexa. It's nice when I'm at home as I can control my smart devices but I ended up disabling Alexa and having the button change the level of ANC instead. Alexa could not bring up songs or playlists in Apple Music and I don't want to switch to inferior music services like Amazon Music or Spotify. Adjusting the levels of ANC is easy with the action button and Bose provides firmware updates through the app. The QC35ii headphones also remember up to 8 devices and can stay connected to two at the same time. This was another deal breaker for me. Most of the time, I'm watching a video on either my iPad or MacBook with my iPhone nearby. I will leave my QC35ii headphones connected to my iPhone and then pair them to my iPad or Mac. Video audio comes through the headphones but, when I receive a call on my iPhone, it will come through on the headphones as well while automatically pausing the video on my iPad/Mac. This is a great feature and means I don't have to constantly pair to just one device. It's convenient and saves me time when traveling. Despite Bose not being at the top with ANC, they are still really good and better than every other brand except Sony. My only complaint is that the ANC does produce an "ear pressure" sensation but I got used to it fairly quickly. Low-end noises are easily canceled out and only sudden, higher-pitched noises come through. The space heater in my office and other, general office droning noises are all canceled out with ease. I can hear conversations but, when I start playing music, they are covered up. I have a feeling Bose is going to come back with either the QC45 or QC35iii headphones that offer more fine-tuned ANC to compete with Sony. Battery life, while not the longest, is still great. I usually listen to music with my headphones about 4 hours a day (5 days a week) and have to recharge them once a week. There have been times when I forget to recharge them on Saturday/Sunday before going into the office and, despite the use of micro USB (which I'm actually ok with as my wireless earbuds also charge over micro USB), Bose did include quick charging. I can get a few hours of listening with just 15 minutes of charging and the headphones are fully charged within 2 hours. Audio quality is good for a pair of wireless headphones. It's a fun sound signature, which is typical of Bose, but the bass isn't as boosted as one would think. Sony definitely offers more bass with their headphones but that comes at a cost of the highs. With the QC35ii's, I feel that the highs and lows are equally represented with some recession of the mids (v-shaped but not too extreme). These aren't audiophile quality but they're not meant to be and I enjoy listening to music and movies on them. Bose also went the extra mile with the carrying case. The QC35ii's fold flat and take up very little space in a bag or backpack. They take up less space than Sony, Beats, and every other brand. There's plenty of space for the micro USB cable in the case. Bose did remove the airline adapter but you can buy one for dirt cheap, many airlines also let you borrow them for free or buy one on the plane for $5. I'm not a fan of the audio cable that Bose uses. It's thin, flimsy, and is a 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable which means you have to order a replacement either from Bose or online as a general 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable won't work. I have yet to use the cable and likely never will as my Mac is the only device I have with a wired headphone output (without using a dongle) but it would have been nice if Bose had used a standard audio cable. That being said, the internal cloth covering the drivers and the earpads themselves are replaceable. Should they get dirty or start peeling over time, you can replace them for a relatively low price. All-in-all, I still think Bose has it. Others offer more ANC and bass but Bose is still the king (or queen) of the all-around package. The best in comfort, still really good ANC, high audio quality, and other smaller details (like the case and earpads) make these a good choice. I went with the triple-black model and they almost look like a dark navy, they're also matte and don't show fingerprints nearly as bad as glossy headphones from the competition. I highly recommend these for people who travel and/or those who value comfort, especially people with multiple devices. I'm usually pretty picky and end up keeping headphones for less than a year before moving on but I have found my multi-year set. Ironically, the last set of headphones I kept for years were the QC15's from Bose.

A little disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had these for almost 3 years and they work well. The only thing I do not like is that the ear part is white and it has started to flake off...which makes me want another pair, but I do not feel like I should spend the money to replace since they still work fine.

Comfortable headphones, great sound quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are awesome headsets. i love the noise cancellation feature. I can use it for wirelessly and with wired connection. Even mic quality is great for talking. it can connect to multiple devices at same time. mic can not be used when using wired connection, this is the only downside. While playing PS4 games, I have to use wired connection, so no mic available in this mode.

BOSE Delivers Sound - The Way It Was Intended ****
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm now a proud owner of these ( Amazing ) headphones. These headphones reveal & deliver sound the way the artist & engineers intended to be heard. No overkill harsh treble , or bombastic bass for my ears. Because there's no tone controls to ruin the sound. Thanks BOSE. These aren't cheap constructed headphones either. These are well made - scientifically & constructively - inside & out. The noise cancelling feature - cancels background - annoying noise only, Not eliminate sound completely, for safety reasons. Bottom line , These BOSE headphones won't disapoint .

Ouch! Sounds nice but painful.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to like these headphones. Kept them for as long as I could before the return policy kicked in. The headphones hurt my ears. Initially I thought it was from the placement of the headphones against my ears or how i placed them on my head. In talking with a few coworkers who have them, i found it was the noise cancelling system itself. The pressure on my inner ear did not lend themselves to long periods of wear which is what I want them for. I have a pair of Motorola S305's which I love (3 pair in fact). While they don't block out the noise, they were great for sitting in an office cubicle coding in a busy IT department. My hope was that the Bose could be their replacement. The Bose blocked out all that noise and made it seem I was the only one there. The headphones were great powered off at blocking out a decent amount of the office din. Turning them on they default to the High setting for noise cancelling. I set them to Low, and it was perfect. I sit near a telecom closet with network switches running 24x7. When the air handler kicks in there is a lot of extra noise that I wanted to get rid of and these headphones did just that. All of that is immediately quieted by the low setting. The sound of the music took some getting used to. After listening to the S305 for many years, the Bose sounded odd. After a week or so of the Bose, the S305s sound bad. The Bose have a much better sounds stage than most headphones, but for $350 they'd better. At low volumes on my iPhone the sound seemed far away as opposed to quieter. You need louder volumes to truly bring out the beauty of this headset. The S305's were much better sounding at lower volumes than the Bose. Since all the surrounding noise was cancelled out by Bose' ANC, I didn't need them up on a loud volume setting, but then the sound quality was lacking. They sound great with the volume slider around the half way point or higher. Overall they are an amazing headphone and do what they advertise. I wanted to like them and to keep them. You can ask my friends. It's all i talked about for two weeks. If my ears didn't hurt from the pressure change these headphone employ, I would have kept them. They might not hurt your ears, but they did mine. I have no complaints otherwise and recommend them. The two star review is for the discomfort and the low volume sound presence. For $350 they should sound amazing at all volumes and hopefully hurt less.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to write this excellent, detailed review of your QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones II, Jas. We're glad to hear that the Low noise cancellation setting was helpful in your office. We're also happy that you enjoyed the sound quality of the headphones at higher volumes. We're sorry to hear that the High noise reduction setting caused discomfort for you, and that the lower volume levels didn't meet your expectations. We truly appreciate your feedback. This input helps our engineers improve our products in the future. Though it appears you have chosen to return the headphones, we hope that you keep Bose in mind for the future. Thank you again, and have a great day! Jesse - Bose Support

Great headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned these headphones for about a year now, and they work great. Love the fact that I can toggle noise cancellation on and off (as it sometimes disorients me to have it on). Only downside is that I can't wear them for more than an hour at the time because they start to hurt the top of my head. Other people I have talked to don't seem to have this problem, however.
